Do you have Discord (If so, what is your discord username?):
Mhm! Username’s zackeric - it’s fully lowercase.

How old are you? (Optional):
Right now, I’m 19, but my birthday’s approaching.

What is your time zone?:
GMT+2!

Describe your activity on the server:
I’d say I’m very active. To rate my activity, I’d put myself on an 8 out of 10. I’m usually very active, getting on and staying on for hours throughout the day. I don’t usually get off too fast, if ever. I’d say a 7, barely ever, but only due to the situation in Lebanon. Living in a country that’s currently not the safest can be uncertain, yet I always find myself online, even through it all. It doesn’t affect my activity much because of the safe space SRP provides me, keeping me somewhat positive even through this.

Inactivity logs are there for a reason, so the Faction Lead will get informed in advance when, well, life surprises you. Yes, I’ve got a schedule, but it’s not absolute to the T, due to life, of course. Usually I’d be online through these hours, though - casually playing, growing my characters by roleplaying and expanding my opportunities and scenarios in roleplay whenever I can, and soon perhaps, hosting openings for this shop if it is to be accepted!

Do you acknowledge that if you are inactive you will be demoted?:
I have to be active to do my quota, so, yes, I understand!

“For what sustains and helps you blossom.”

What shop are you applying for?:
I’m applying for any unowned retail & convenience shop spot! I don’t really mind where it’s located. The shop would get renamed to ‘Inteyvat Gardenia’ and IG for short, so let’s go, I guess!

What is the meaning behind the shop’s name?:
Inteyvat is a very important flower from Genshin Impact, the one which represents origin, belonging, and memory - something that only truly flourishes where it’s meant to be, a symbol and metaphor to how people don’t thrive in just any condition. They may settle and adapt, but they would never truly shine unless they feel right with where they are. This shop is a quiet sign of hope, a space where belonging can be felt.

Gardenia is somewhat of a similar case, reflecting the outcome of alignment, something you’d feel at this shop. Sure, at its core, it’s simply a convenience shop, but real convenience is finding something that actually fits, whatever the occasion. In each visit, the shop hopes to create a sense of familiarity until it inevitably feels as natural and lasting as Gardenia.

The outcome of the words together is to reach a true flow state, where your stars really do become aligned, even if for a fleeting moment, at Inteyvat Gardenia.

Why do you want to become a Shopkeeper?:
Truthfully, the Shopkeeper role has been something I’ve dreamed of since the day I joined this server. It is such a different experience, one I would love to participate in. The roleplay and responsibilities involved are exclusive to this role, and I'm very interested in participating in these scenarios. It definitely sparks a ton of creativity, too - which is the best part!

Why haven’t I pursued it yet? Costs. It was never about time; I just was not financially stable enough to fund my own customs when I was younger. Today, I find myself very capable of adding new items often to my potential shop! So, of course, I ran to the application, heh! I’ve always wanted an ethereal-based store, one that naturally involves the nature and astrological aspects of the word ethereal.

To say I hadn’t thought of this shop idea years in advance would be a big lie. I can’t pinpoint exactly when, nor do I even remember how this even originally came about, but the idea’s only grown from there and followed me throughout SRP. This shop’s concept has been on my mind for ages; hell, the shop’s identity and branding is one I’d hope to one day walk into in real life! SRP-wise, having such a detailed and meaningful existence is, dare I say, what really defines it and sets it apart. A space with a compelling and welcoming presence, one where convenience matters, but the comfort and familiarity of those who enter matter most, for what is convenience without genuine comfort? I want to bring that to reality with this shop in Karakura.

Retail and convenience stores aren’t really oh-so-convenient if they haven’t got a sprinkle of everything their customers want now, are they? I want every visit to serve a purpose from the customer’s perspective. That’s why I’d offer more than just the basics of what makes a dull, lifeless grocery store. Shop faction-wise, I understand and am accustomed to working in a setting such as this, even if not the exact experience of a shop owner, but definitely part of the same space. Over time, my knowledge of this faction only expanded as I delved deeper into its wide range of possibilities, getting involved and getting hired left and right for personal growth and for the fun of it!

What’s the point of involvement if there ain’t any fun and true passion for all this? The pursuit of this would be meaningless. I bring the meaning to the table, at least to me, in my eyes - it’s this that fills my day with a moment of unity, only possible because of the lovely people employed at the places I’ve worked over the years!

Now, sure, there’s monetary value to all this, too, I mean duhh - but in reality, it’s a mere fraction as to why I’d love to be part of this faction! Money comes and goes, and sure, that’s cliche, but it really does. Memorable and noteworthy experiences are ever more fleeting, but it’s all the more reason to try and aim to create such moments. I have put significant effort into learning and implementing everything a shop needs. Honestly, I'm eager to witness shops through the eyes of someone in charge of one, even with the hectic nature of it all - I want that. I want to learn how to do everything at once whilst keeping a positive attitude.

I’ve read through many rounds of past applicants, both accepted and denied, to better understand what the Shop faction really looks for! Key points that make each applicant stand out or be forgotten in the long abyss of apps, and honestly? I really hope this works out, pouring my all into this. I’m just as excited as I was when I first learned about this role years ago, except this time I'm beyond happy to apply for and fund it.

What do you plan to do with your shop, and what makes it unique?:
Karakura doesn’t really have any shortage of shops. Retail stores, restaurants, gift shops, but most of which you enter to purchase what you need, and leave without a second thought. Efficient and straightforward, yes. Memorable? Rarely... That is precisely where Inteyvat Gardenia comes to play.

People do not walk into shops as blank slates, nor dull mannequins. Upon arrival, they’ve got something, a reason - curiosity, indecision, for the love of it, who knows, but most of the time, it’s based on emotions we all as humans feel to our core. Yet, not many in Karakura truly acknowledge that. Everything is transactional, predictable, and final.

You guessed it, Inteyvat Gardenia tries to be more than just that!

At face value, it’s a retail and convenience shop - groceries fill the store, furniture shapes the interior, and smaller objects such as accessories and everyday use items rest throughout. It seems to function like any other shop; customers can enter, browse, and purchase as they please. That much remains. However, what distinguishes and sets this shop apart is not by what it sells, but by how and why those things are sold and presented.

Every item sold exists within a broader image and structure: some things sustain, some shape your environment, some reflect the self, and others mark growth or change more visibly. Instead of dividing these into unrelated categories, they are presented as part of a continuous, cohesive experience; this cohesive nature directly mirrors the idea that people themselves are in a constant state of becoming.

There’s never really a perfect being. We’re always aiming for more, whatever part of our journey or new aims may be, but it's what really gives meaning to mundane life. Feeling like you’re in the mood for a quick snack or ingredients, then you’re in for what sustains, down for furniture, then you’re looking for something to shape the world around you, looking for self, then they’re jewellery and accessories that you’re searching for, and if you’re trying to get featured or seasonal items, then you’re looking for change.

I believe it's a very well-rounded concept of a shop that'd spark something new for the shop faction, as it's missing a shop of this kind!

ʚଓ Roleplay Aspect:
A shop like this would create space for more meaning in retail. To use an ****ogy, a butterfly starts as eggs, then as a caterpillar, slowly preparing itself for its next stage of becoming. After some time, it envelops itself in a cocoon after really putting in the work, and when the time is right, it patiently goes through its transformation until it finally blooms into the beautiful, eye-catching butterflies we see today. To put it simply, it’s philosophical and is directly tied to the reason I want to open said shop. I want a space where people, at whatever stage of life they’re at, can find something to look forward to, like a butterfly's cycle. This is a core concept that the shop relies on.

Characters involved as staff would be carefully selected from the pool of applicants, who are then interviewed, and carefully selected to act as stewards of the celestial and the botanical for our shop, and to immerse those who enter in a very well-curated scene that sparks roleplay opportunities. The creative side of this shop allows for peaceful, thoughtfully played-out interactions with customers that expand what can be of SchoolRP’s shop faction - bringing a new theme to the table, too. It’s something I wish to participate in and help drive its growth. It may bring about love or discourse IC, but that’s the best part!

Roleplay-wise, everyone is meant to be peaceful or bold and daring, yet as elegant and beautiful as, for example, the shrine maidens are. It’s meant to encapsulate the feeling of belonging and, in a sense, feel like a second home, making its convenience aspect even more convenient!

Do you have any experience with leadership and teamwork?:
I’d say I have a wide range of experience in leadership and teamwork, both IRL and on SRP.

ઇଓ SRP Experience:
In terms of SRP, I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing many different things

Notably, Pinkumo’s one of those shops that truly opened my eyes to the sheer amount of time, love, and effort that needs to be put into your passion project, in this case, the shop you’ve built as part of the shop faction - truly, it has opened my eyes to all the behind-the-scenes that happen, and quite frankly, only piquing my interest even more! The more I saw, the more interested I felt in joining said faction. I started as a cashier and worked my way up to manager. To put it simply, it requires planning and patience, as well as a ton of teamwork to make it work. How do you start a shift without proper planning, putting the right leadership skills for shift openings, and so forth? You simply can’t without something going awry. I’ve dealt with that first-hand. That’s what I learnt there, on top of learning to be bold and being the one to take the initiative to suggest adding photography for shop items, whilst also ending up being in charge of said photography sessions and other related matters to events there, including formatting things for the Discord server, and more!

Next up, Yona-Yona’s also played a huge, huge role in affecting how I perceive shops as a whole. Roleplaying as a mascot and having to actively partake in real-time roleplay whilst managing to keep track of all the items they’d like to see and doing so promptly, being efficient enough to somehow juggle multiple people’s requests at once, on top of aiding with any other things, too - it all taught me something valuable and worthwhile when it came to time management and ability to immerse myself in roleplay alongside with my team, since we also usually hop into call together for said shifts. Understanding how to juggle multiple things at once and being good at it usually also ties into what makes a great leader. A leader is someone who can handle the pressure whilst doing everything needed in a timely and thoughtful manner.

At Yudokuna Ken'yaku, I learnt the importance of getting well-adjusted fast. Working at a retail shop where many, many ingredients were sold was the usual. This taught me the importance of organized chests, not that Yona-Yona hadn’t, too, with the large selection of items, but here I was a cashier, not capable of taking as much time as a mascot at Y-Y to find my way through the hoard of items they owned. On top of that, this shop furthered my ability to adapt to greeting customers with roleplay prioritized even during the rush. This now helps me understand how to react and how to hire appropriate candidates for my own shop who are also capable of such a task.

Hell, I’ve even co-owned a gang in the very early days of SRP, including working at 11/7 and some store I no longer recall the name of, very, very long ago. I brought these up because I’ve always been involved in teamwork from the very beginning of my time on SRP. I’ve always been a little social and curious.

Every day, I keep working harder and growing while having fun with these SRP shops.

ઇଓ IRL Experience:
Growing up, I usually managed multiple things, like my own rehearsals for group performances (singing, dancing, and more), as well as posters and other group projects! I’ve always had a knack for these sorts of things. The ability to manage a group setting felt natural to me, including managing myself. Hiccups sometimes occurred in certain group projects due to factors beyond my control. I’ve worked a couple of jobs, including customer service, a job which requires teamwork.

Now, for the cherry on top, I’m also a Pastry Chef, so management of your station and your to-do list, time management, efficiency, all that jazz is something I have grown to become a natural at. On top of that, having to always work in a teamwork-based environment also teaches you a lot. You literally can not work that job without leadership and teamwork. You’d be in a constant state of headache, either due to your own ill mistakes or the blunt berating you’ll hear from the other chefs or the head chef in charge, which will also inevitably lead you to getting fired.

Will your shop have uniforms?:
Yes, it will! The uniform is simple and cashier-esc, but with a twist of gardenia on top of its apron. Upon entry, the clash of colours in the shop’s elements is exactly what it needs to make them pop. The wings are meant to be a custom that only cashiers can wear during shifts as part of their uniform.

GedoeId.png
When it comes to the mascot, it’s a work in progress, but I’ve already got concepts and an idea of how it’d look.

How will your shop look?:
The shop will have a very ethereal look, combining a calm nature with a calming atmosphere of stars and space, ultimately aiming to feel like the forces of nature, fate, and life itself - something the word ethereal describes, seemingly out of this world, yet oh so beautiful and meant to be.

b8TBYIP.jpeg
There will also be a W2G link to play music and better immerse you in the environment! I’ve already got a good playlist of songs in mind that suit this aesthetic.
The Discord server will also have a similar aesthetic, very neatly and thoughtfully curated by me.

What will you sell in your shop?:
I'll be selling multiple things, so I've listed them below. Private customs are to be made public and used by the shop.

ઇଓ Private Customs:

These are already implemented and are just to be made public. I have permission from all their rightful owners.

ઇଓ Future Customs:
These are some items I plan to gradually add if accepted.

Not really using any images here cause they're very straightforward food or ingredients I'd love to add. Obviously healthy.
  • Umeboshi
  • Matcha Powder
  • Turmeric Powder
  • Ginger
  • Plum Blossom Extract
  • Mushroom Extract
  • Greek Yoghurt
Genuinely, why are there no doormats on SRP? This could be the first, since this shop's meant to be welcoming.
NSGweoc.png
What a missed opportunity it'd be to not make Inteyvat flowers. I mean, it's literally in the name.
Does that mean what I think it means?
mL2fWLU.png
Of course, silly, I'd obviously also make a Gardenia flower vase. It's again, literally in the name haha.
ZaPeZ95.png
My original concept was to allow writing into the tooltip. If that's not possible, then it could be something that could get labelled or well, who knows!
Whatever's possible works fine in my book. I just think there needs to be more heartfelt moments, and this one could help do that while expanding roleplays.
GqZwNKD.png
Tarot cards hold much meaning. Why not let people play through their own interpretations of how tarot readings are meant to be done?
I believe this also suits the theme pretty well, since tarot cards usually tell you what your divine fate has in store for you.
3JNlkqr.jpeg
Minimal and convenient. Where else will you find a pack of stickers and some simple piercings to slap on together? What a pair they are, too.
0ELCERv.png
How do you expect change if there are no obstacles along the way? Spiders feed on butterflies, but us butterflies should stay strong!
Oh9O4JZ.png
You can always rely on a convenience store to have a diffuser of sorts.
I8j1nc8.png
What's a cozy convenience shop without its pillows? I mean, no, really, so bland and lifeless!
td4IPMH.png
What are tarot readers, astrologists, and divinators without their cats? Dare I say, not as daring.
h4QqlR1.png
Get comfortable, this caterpillar couch's got some space! How else could we remind our customers of our lovely mascot if not with a statement piece?
If there's a caterpillar couch, there's surely to be a butterfly couch, too, no?
7E3eO5s.png
Ding, ding, ding! Butterfly couch, too, of course!
Pride is approaching, and what better way to celebrate than with a butterfly couch that symbolises how free they are.
Placing both couches together would be a great visual representation of growth and individuality shining through as they mature into a beautiful rainbow butterfly!
pjkHTCU.png
We need nuts on SRP.
U8gqwJd.png
Says it in the name. Why don't we have healthy dried fruits on SRP? I think they'd add so much life and minor roleplay potential to homes!

  • More snacks and food items will be added if accepted.
I understand there's an 80-item limit per shop, so I'll of course keep that in mind for the future.

How many employees do you plan to have?:
Openings should include an Owner or Manager, 2, maybe 3 Cashiers, and 1 Mascot.
Occasionally, if there’s an ongoing event, more employees may be needed during the opening.

Owner: [1/1] (deaya)

This role usually has the most openings and is responsible for the entire shop.

There’s a lot to say, but to summarize: it’s what I’d be doing, meaning I’m supposed to first and foremost prepare everything related to the shop itself, such as the Discord server, the opening count per month, logging quota, and the quantity of items sold - this also consists of keeping my staff team in check. Stock must be checked, sold out or missing items restocked, whilst being the one to add or purchase new customs regularly to keep new and returning customers coming. Any questions, concerns, or issues are to be addressed by the shopkeeper. Without compassion, the work environment rots - that's why they must keep the balance and should possess both great compassion and leadership skills.

Manager: [0/2]
Managers help with a bunch of different things! They are an important helping hand to the owner. They will take over tasks as follows:

  • Must uphold shop rules first and foremost.
  • Should help with the hiring process, including the following interview process.
  • Allowed to hold openings without the owner being present, provided prior permission is requested and/or granted.
  • They’ll sometimes supervise shifts, which include ensuring employees roleplay as expected, observing how they treat customers, etc.
They are there to help the owner when needed, mostly. When it comes to who could fill these shoes, I’ve got a few people in mind for the role, but I’d prefer to choose the best possible candidates with due time to ensure I’m making the right choice.

Cashier: [1/10] (deztinsy)
They are this shop’s pride and joy, quite literally the key to making business boom. Roleplay aspect still applies to them, but of course, a little less strictly - proudly embodying what the shop represents and treating customers with respect, whilst authentically greeting people instead of a boring copy and paste. Marketing-wise, it creates bonds and familiarity with customers, the shop, and its employees

  • Must wear the uniform and custom wings for openings.
  • They are required to provide a genuine, raw and natural greeting with each customer.
  • Know or get taught how to use the shop panel efficiently to fulfil orders and ensure smooth sailing.
Wearing butterfly wings represents them being at the final stage of transformation. That’s why they complete the exchange. Having already become, they are ready to serve as a customer’s final destination, fulfilling their truest desire in that moment through an order. If experiencing any issues, IC or OOC, they must inform someone in charge during the shift.

Mascot: [1/5] (Reximix)
To start, our mascot is a caterpillar! In line with the butterfly interpretation from earlier, which directly correlates with fate, our truest self, and our desires.

  • Must wear the mascot fit.
  • Should be able to roleplay accordingly in real time.
  • Must have a good understanding of our shop and its core principles.
  • Should go through a more detailed application process to test their roleplay potential, including a lengthier interview process.
  • Should understand how to show off any requested item(s) to customers in the shop.
Caterpillars are the face of this shop, meaning there’d only be a select, active few that would get picked out from our wave of possible applicants! It would be the shop's front and first impression, not to mention the roleplay opportunities customers get to experience with such experienced, prepared individuals taking on the role of the caterpillar. With them being the face of our shop, they’re also a gentle reminder of the cycle, with how cashiers come next. They’re still in the process of becoming, so being a helping hand really cements the idea! Nothing in this shop is usually without meaning. Their pay would also be similar to a cashier's, if not higher.

What events would your shop host?:

Below are some ideas for events that I could host for this shop.

ઇଓ Alignment Exchange:
The shop has four alignments - cocoon, weave, unfold, and emerge. They mean sustain, shape, reflect, shift, to put it more simply, similar to the context given before as to why and how they exist and what purpose they each serve singularly. In this event, there’d be a personal one-on-one session with individuals to help with picking out an item from the store, with a chance of a mystery prize or discount if fate decides the odds are in your favor.
  • I already have the system and format in place to make this work, so I’ve thought through how to do it in roleplay.

ઇଓ Rite of Clearance:
A discount on certain days of the year, usually before a big restock is needed, or new items roll into the shop. This not only offers players potentially huge discounts but also lets people know something new is coming soon! It wouldn't happen every time, but it’d be an event worth looking out for as a customer. As the astrologist Eunhwa is, she’d never want to see her inventory going to waste, plus would like to make things more affordable when possible.
  • This would be a rare yet special event that happens to pass every so often.

ઇଓ Bloom Rite:
This would be a performance done through the involvement of Shrine Maidens and the shop’s caterpillar mascot. The performance should be graceful and meaningful, visually showing the process of change and growth. There are already ideas in mind for how this could be done, and I’ve even spoken to Shrine Maidens about it and received their approval if this were to be done, of course, carrying their pure and elegant aura over even in our shop.
  • People participating in the performance would get a 50% discount on their next three purchases in the shop.

ઇଓ Ordained Pairing:
How do you know your friend, partner, or even a stranger is compatible? This test determines whether you two work well together - it is a fun event that rewards those who align with a special discount, and those who don’t with pity. Perhaps a special appearance from the shrine staff would be fit for such an event. They are to supervise or aid with the readings, though the said reading format is already pre-planned by me and my own way of doing it. Permission was also granted by the shrine for said event.
  • It’d be fun for shrine members who want something new to do, whilst also being a fun new way to gather community.

IG Character Information Banner.png

What’s your full name and age?:
“Eunhwa. Eunhwa Nakazumi - I’d hope this meeting proves… worthwhile. Dare I say, bold of you to ask for my age... it’d be better left to the stars. I believe the mystery intrigues.”

Ef6pAiS.png

What are your gender and pronouns?:
“Observantly, a woman, and identifying as one. She/her works best, so if it is future divination you seek from me, then I ask you respect my identity, as with my name, by learning it wholly - here and now.”

What’s your story?:
“In divination, a person is usually ordained by fate. That is a principle an astrologist such as I would abide by, for there is nothing that fate and zodiacs can not reveal - no mere coincidences in this world. So, eh-hmm, this ask of yours… although loaded, you shall receive that which you desire, for it seems a lingering hunch of mine from before we’d crossed paths, expected to meet one such as yourself. Seems my hunch has come to pass accordingly. I shall spare you of irrelevant deets.”

“Ahhh… to be me. To say I’d have expected such a present would be akin to saying astrology’s insufficient! People may call me performative now, but in truth, to believe in your craft is to be one with it. When I was younger, I was extraordinary, but I had yet to fathom such greatness, merely living with the ordinary I’d believed I was. Outgoing as could be, ahm, a yapper as the younger folk like to call it nowadays - one that socialized a little toooo much with the kids my age at the time - shocking though, isn’t it? For now, I stand to attest that I am still outgoing, but in turn, my words now hold greater value, well-thought of as can be. Why, you may ask? It’s because, simply put, fate led me here. How, then? Well, my father had just passed away one fateful day, teaching me to tend to my own needs, for I had a mother, yet it seemed it was only as per the label implies - related by blood, but dear me had she not an ounce of care in this world, but alas! Tending to oneself teaches the heart to burn and find its true identity. I found mine with the stars above, bringing me peace.”

“Anyway, so then my mother died.”

“Please, she had it coming - the stars aligning in aid of me! Fate may play cruel jokes on you, yet sometimes, fate may be doing so to unveil an outcome destined for you to cross to that brighter end. Nothing to regret when you know your past and future rely on the lessons these ‘cruel fated jokes’ play on us, now leading me here.”

“Something about opening a shop has always brought me peace of mind. A retail shop, one where you go to get your daily things, yet leave with the promise of the stars guiding you. It would be a blessing to give Karakura a taste of the ethereal nature that astrology truly is, this being why I’m applying for such an awaited opportunity, leaving what’s fated for my future in the hands of this town’s shops coordinator.”

Additional notes about your application:
I believe I have a strong foundation; minor details can be addressed and refined later, if accepted.

Do you have any questions?:
Nope, that’s all, thank you!
