Why should you become a club leader over other applicants, what abilities or ideas do you have that could benefit the club you'll be in charge of?: This club is completely new and unique. As in, there is no other club like this one, all other clubs are for hobbies while this one is for neurodivergency support and is basically an educational club. Members are to speak about things that worry them, and get support for a multitude of issues like unemployment and discrimination. This is like free group therapy, where everyone can freely speak and not worry about being teased, bullied, and judged by others. This whole club idea was born after Karl and I spoke about both of our characters being autistic, and the suggestion that we create a group of autistics for autistics to find support in, but after a while, it had changed into a general neurodiversity support club after Karl messaged a mod regarding the club. Since we both understand issues regarding autism and/or the neurodiversity community as a whole, we'd decided to make a club for that exact reason and so we could find a much larger community. We discuss many things, such as unemployment, masking of our neurodivergent traits, how to deal with bullies and discrimination and so much more.

What is your motivation for creating this club:
Our motivation for making this club is so we could find a community of others with neurodivergencies, and vice versa. The fact that we also hold group sessions also can encourage people to speak up, and complain so we could find a way to resolve the issue of the complaint. We will d
What activities and events will your club do?:
Club Members Only Meetings : We schedule meetings so members can talk about anything, or everything, neurodivergent related for a half an hour. This is like the group therapy thing i've spoken about earlier. WE set up a circle of chairs in the middle of the room, and we let members sit wherever they want within that room. Certain sessions, we'll be planning for other events, with all members' input recognized, as well as chatting with each other
Sensory Overload Simulation: Karl and a few other members will burrow a room with permission, so they can set up a stimulation room. The simulation will be a point of view of an autistic having an meltdown because the sensory input is too high. Basically, the room's lights will be too bright for allistics (non-autistic people) and there will be a loudspeaker somewhere in the room, blasting white noise at the top of the volume bar. This will take only 5 minutes, and people can walk out if they're genuinely overstimulated, or it's too much for them. the This is aimed to educate people on why someone may not respond, lash out physically or be in a ball on the floor crying.
Autism Awareness: Basically, we simply hang posters relating to autism and autistic symptoms, as well as statistics around the school until the end of school week when we speak about autism and how to help your autistic, or other neurodivergency, friend in daily life. This is a whole week event.
How could your club benefit the School?: This club is the introduction of community for those with mental disorders, learning disabilities, spectrum disorders, and other neurodivergencies. Members are able to find community, are able to rant or vent and generally discuss things with others without being judged from those who don't seem to understand the issues and problems neurodivergents experience. The club can also be a place to find friends, and especially others can know your struggles as well which further supports the claim of this club being a community for everyone who is neurodivergent. This club is also super new and as unique as we could make it, making*
How would your club use the club room the club will be assigned?:
The room we will be assigned will be used as meeting places, places for our sessions and our sensory overload simulation.
What will be the requirements for future members, if any?:
We only allow members who are actually ND, because we're actually worried about trolls who may use this club as a way to find people to bully and to insult the community in a way.
