Besides School, and life with family and friends, I'm more than likely free unless I decide to go out or play different games!

What is your motivation for applying?:
For playing SRP close to five to six years now, I’ve only recently, in the last year or so, gained the courage to apply for factions. I've always wanted to be a part of a faction, although I never had the courage within myself to do so, nor did I ever think there was the possibility of getting in due to the high demand of applicants for KPD, EMS, Government, Faculty, or even Reporter. I've always believed my chances were slim to none due to my lack of experience, such as ‘Oh, they’ve been playing for this long and haven't even attempted to apply to any factions?’ My SRP journey has always been filled with family RP and criminal/gang RP until recently. My first faction being Reporter, I loved it there, due to the freedom of writing and being able to put my voice into the community. My time there was cut short due to oocly reasons, and getting used to being in college fractured my time there. Though now with me finally getting the hang of it, it's safe to say I can safely maintain balance between the two worlds! Though my motivation for applying for KPD, I believe it stems from being in gangRP, having to deal with the risk of getting caught. I've always admired the inner workings of KPD and how they put so much effort into what they do, from lore all the way to the patrols! It’s always amazed me with how KPD officers are either admired or hated on [Icly wise this is] Growing out of my GangRP/CriminalRP era last year, I’ve wanted to learn more about how KPD worked, what they do daily, and how they make Karakura better for the innocents? Much more, although I believe you get the gist of it!!

What knowledge do you have of Police Work?
Though never being in the faction itself, I have some sort of knowledge with my time in gangrp, lore, and with interactions!
ItemDescriptionAccessibility

Why is Police important to SchoolRP?
Ooc Reasoning

KPD encourages roleplay outside of the school, such as crime, gang roleplay, and any other events that SRP holds. Each faction holds an equally important role in SRP. Players who enjoy crime roleplay wouldn't find it as engaging without the consequences or thrill of getting caught. That being said, for police, without crime, there would be little to no roleplay for officers, balancing criminals and law enforcement, keeping everyone engaged. SRP also has laws in place, but without each department to enforce them, the realism the server tries to maintain could be significantly changed. With KPD, they help create risk and raise the stakes for each character; in turn, they support other factions, for example, EMS and the government. KPD contributes heavily to immersion by allowing citizens to call 110, report crimes, and interact with authorities that make the server more alive.

IC Reasoning

The KPD plays a vital role in maintaining order. Officers go on patrols to sweep the streets, monitor CCTV systems, raid properties, and enforce the laws to keep the city functioning. Without the department, gang activity would likely escalate, citizens living in fear, and students would avoid school out of fear for the lack of protection. The duty of the police is to ensure that the town doesn't fall into chaos and that the citizens of the town can live regular lives. The KPD and its divisions serve as a foundation, with crimes ranging from break-ins to murder. It's crucial to have a force that can respond and provide protection. Officers work closely with EMS, providing protection at dangerous scenes so paramedics can treat the injured, through these responsibilities they help keep justice and balance.

Overall, KPD adds structure, safety, and realism to Karakura, while opening up a wide range of roleplay opportunities for the server.

Sola ensured he was viewed neatly, wearing a freshly pressed suit. Taking in a deep breath he was guided to the interview room, placing a hand over his torso he bowed before the officer.
What's your character's full name?:
Slidding into the chair with ease he pressed his hands onto the table clasping them together. His voice was stern and steady booming in the small room.
“Sola. Sola Kenjiro Alveras”
He seemed to be straight forward, leaning forward slightly with eye contact on the officer. Inside he was nervous as hell tapping his foot against the wooden flooring.

How old is your character (if accepted)?:
His foot took a pause on tapping, was it that he was self conscious about his age? Maybe, although he answered without hesitation.
“27, I just celebrated my birthday. Getting a bit close to 30 aren’t I..”
He let out a stiff laugh flashing a warm smile to the officer sitting across from him, watching them write it down on the document.

What are your character's gender and pronouns?:
Sola rose his head to meet the officer’s.
“Male, I go by he/him”
His foot began tapping the easy questions again were out the way, nervous of what others were to come.

Please select your highest academic role at the time of writing this application:
(Grade-12/Bachelors/Masters/PhD):

“Highest academic? Right, of course. I studied Criminology in high school, simple courses I may add. Though I finished college with a master's in psychology and criminal justice.”
He answered proudly, it was one of his greatest achievements of course he would be proud of it.

What languages does your character know besides Japanese?:
“Besides Japanese, I know none, although I'm trying to learn Spanish to get more in touch with my heritage.”

Describe your character; how they look, what makes them unique?
Sola Kenjiro Alveras stands at six foot five. His height gives him a natural commanding presence wherever he goes. He has sun-tanned skin coming from his Mexican heritage. He has a strong, well built frame, both reflecting resilience and quiet strength. His jet black hair falling across his head in a slightly messy framing his face, adding to his charm. Sola has dark blue, steady eyes that carry a calm but focused intensity that hints at someone who observes more than he speaks. He carries himself with confidence that feels powerful and composed.
How does your character act in a professional/casual situation?
Professional
Sola is quiet, not speaking unless spoken to, the type of person. He works swiftly, making sure any paperwork and jobs needed around the station are neatly done. He keeps his head up with a straightened posture. On occasion, you may see his foot tapping out of the corner of your eye. He’s friendly yet closed off, closed book, you might add. He’s quick to be at your aid if needed, caring and delightful to be around if you get the chance to know him. On occasion, if he’s on patrol, he may stop to grab coffee or a bite for his co-worker,s leaving it silently on their desks or in front of them with a gentle smile.

Casual
Sola in a casual setting is quite different than his professional act, when/and if he’s off duty he can be seen grabbing a coffee with his girlfriend, he walks the town guard up knowing the crooks and crameys of each corner, if he goes to a restaurant he sits with his front facing the door always aware of any exit points if he might need to get himself, or others out of danger. During the night, he walks the paths of the forest in hopes of passing near someone who might need aid or assistance. At times, he might visit the shrine, speaking casually with the maidens and citizens there; other nights, he would be coddled up in his home, cooking dinner. Other times, he may be taking his co-workers to a friendly lunch or a quick coffee grab.

What is their outlook on the idea of co-workers & teamwork?
Sola grew up as a single child, although he didn’t live with his parents instead, he lived with his aunt. Only him and his aunt. Sola always loved the thought of having siblings or friends to play, speak, or study with, although sadly he didn’t have any. Because of this, the idea of teamwork, as well as co-workers brought a massive smile to his face. Sola would do his best to stay on the good side of his co-workers, making friends with as many as he could. In a teamwork provision, Sola would work as the healer of the group, always doing whatever he could just to make his co-worker’s job easier. Sola would stay up at the station all night long just so his co-workers could get some free time.
What's your character's backstory?
Born in Oaxaca City, Mexico, Sola entered the world at the cost of his mother’s life. Passing away shortly after giving birth to him, leaving his father to raise him alone. Grief-stricken and overwhelmed, his father made the decision to leave Mexico behind and move to Japan, where his aunt, Yuka, lived in Japan. The move was supposed to be something of a new start, though his father took this new life and ran with it, the plan was for him to get a job, although it was cut short as he made a shortcut to the bar life. Late nights, Sola’s father left him with only his aunt to care for. Over time, this life changed his father from the once loving and caring man to nothing but a shell of one who was grief-driven and distant. His aunt Yuka did her best at keeping Sola away from the truth. She raised him as her own, teaching him Japanese, helping with school as best she could. Yuka attempted to create a sense of normalcy within a household that was sure to fall apart. Though everything must come to light one day, the thin walls were enough to give Sola a glimpse into what his father was bearing. By the time Sola reached the age of six, his father’s body had taken enough from this life. Instead of celebrating with cake, candles, and the works, he had to witness his father being wheeled into the nearest hospital, suffering from liver failure that was sure to leave a permanent mark on young Sola.
Afterwards, his aunt Yuka became his priority guardian, life was calmer and as normal as it could get, working long hours to provide for both of them, pushing him further into school, always making sure Sola knew he wasnt alone. He grew up quiet, reserved to himself, though as he grew older, he began to witness the same dark corners that had swallowed his father not that long ago. Gang violence, others exploiting others just to survive, classmates being dragged into crime, ambulances racing against death. On one night in particular, Sola witnessed an altercation that broke out in the alley behind his home. Sirens filled the void, and police officers arrived to separate the chaos. He wasnt induced with fear, it was something else he couldn't place. The officers weren't just reacting to violence, but standing between it, standing between the people who couldn't defend themselves. For the first time in his life, he saw and understood what it meant for someone to step in. That moment planted something in Sola; he realized that the world, the same world that destroyed his father, the alcohol, the violence, the broken civilians hiding in alleyways, was the same world hurting others. He couldn't save his father, nor can he change the past, but maybe he could stop other families from going through the same pain, maybe he could be the person who showed up before everything else fell apart.
As Sola grew older, that belief never left him; he trained his body and his mind, he studied hard, staying away from the temptations that destroyed his father. Every late night study, every bruise, every sacrifice he made was driven by the same promise he made to himself. ‘He would protect people in the way no one protected his family.’

Can you legally own a pocket knife in Karakura?
Sola would laugh, shaking his head.
“No, you cannot legally own a pocket knife, any sharp tool including crowbars, axes, bats, and pipe wrenches, being an exception when blood is found on them.”
Nodding his head, he would sound confident with his answer.

Name 5 medical items that do NOT require a prescription
“From my knowledge, bandages, paracetamol, iron supplements, multivitamins, and cough syrup. Are items that do not require a prescription.”

If you see your co-workers physically abusing an inmate, what should you do?
He grimaced at this question.
“Well, of course, I wouldn’t stand by and let my co-worker continue with that. I would step in immediately between the inmate and co-worker, ensuring the inmate was properly contained in their cell before taking my co-worker out of the room. Afterwards, I would send someone to check the inmate to get them medical attention if needed. Reporting the incident to the commissioner or a higher ranking officer would be my next step. They may be an inmate though it isn’t in our pledge to put harm to the said inmates. I do not believe in violence and the co-worker would need to be held accountable.”

What should you do if you see your co-worker being assaulted?
“Well then.. this must have happened before in order to ask this question. Well.”
Sola leaned forward clasping his hands together on the table infront of him
“Depending on the situation, if we were in public I would detain the citizen bringing harm to my fellow officer if it was a case of a criminal we were chasing that turned and got my co-worker I would of course fire my taser on them and detain them. Then of course ensure my co-worker received the proper medical care.”
He huffed leaned back in his chair tugging at his tie. The assault questions was clearly getting to him.
“Excuse me, like I’ve said before I don’t believe in violence on anyone, criminal or not. If it was the case of officer on officer I would step in immediately to bring a stop to the scenario, ensuring that the two are fully separated I would try to get a grasp on what happened so that I could make the report as factual as I could. Bringing this to the commissioner or a higher up officer.”

What do you do if you find out that your co-worker is corrupt and is helping criminal organizations?
“Hm, this would be no different, simple answer to a complex problem. I would try to get as much information on the case, this being body camera footage, phone footage, audio recordings, photos all the information I need to get an air tight case. After I get what’s needed I would of course bring all that I’ve gathered as soon as I could to the commissioner, or a higher ranking officer that is able to sit down and take the report.”

How would you react to a criminal trying to bribe you?
“A bribe? They actually attempt that here, wow. Well, obviously, this can occur in different scenarios. Each time, of course, I would deny and warn them with a fine of bribery the first time, although if they persist, I wouldn't hesitate to bring out my pen and pad to write them a fine. I would then continue about my day, patrol, or whatever I was doing prior.”

Additonal:
I did the little banners and stuff but it was too big.. :( [Might put them like.. below or something]
aswell as i did use grammerly to help with spelling mistakes as I cant spell half the time..
