Shop wanted: Karaoke Bar {Custom Shop}

Why do you want to own a shop?:
There is a lot of reasons why I want to own a shop. Now I may present to you those reasons:
  • Firstly, I want to make it clear that most of the time, player-ran shops aren’t always that active to the point that it’s nearly rare to see them open. And as the students wait near the gates since they have nothing better to do, especially new players, they are patiently waiting for a shop to open. Of course, there are NPC shops but like mentioned a lot within the server, the prices may be very expensive and there are barely any opportunities for roleplay within or near those types of shops. Since I am an active player (last month has been a bit rough due to connections issues and the living environment but I still try to get on as much as possible) I believe that if I owned a shop like this, there won’t be as many players hanging around the school gates just waiting for something to happen.
  • Secondly, when I found out you could own a shop and run it (which was back in late September) I had this eager rush to wanting to own my own shop. I believed that owning a shop could be a true challenge of proving how responsible you are and the greatest skills you possess. However, at the time I didn’t really know what type of shop I wanted so I left the idea alone for a while. After some time I thought about having a bakery but there were already a lot of food-based shops around and the idea just didn’t seem unique at the time. So, for the time being, I settled as a teacher on my main account. Then that rush came back to me and I decided to look for areas or any place that I could possibly make my own shop. That’s when I was told about the server having a singing and dancing club but was removed. This sparked my idea of making this type of shop that’s somewhat similar to the old one.
  • Thirdly, owning a shop not only gives you the RP experience but also proves your leadership skills and your mature sense of taking on a huge responsibility. I would like to step into a business person's shoes and view the world from that viewpoint. Being able to manage your own business is probably a popular dream but it takes a lot of hard work and dedication to make it happen. As someone being organized, having a paycheck system, having set rules for the shop, I believe I have the necessary leadership skills to take on this role. As a teacher, you are already prepared to deal with what’s coming, however, as a shop owner, there many things that can happen that you won’t know it’s coming such as, your business starts slowing down and you lose customers, robbers try to steal from you, ect.. So if any of these events occur you have to take that responsibility and show your leadership skills to ensure everyone including yourself that you can take care of it or be able to handle it. This RP experience is a lot that not just everyone can manage but I know I can so I’m willing to step into this industry with my head held high expecting the worst.
  • Lastly, I want to own a shop because it benefits a lot of players on the server. With more items and a new shop in place, they have something more to look for than waiting for school to open. This type of shop, in my opinion, is a true hangout spot for all, family and friends! I am aware that there are some bars that exist but none of them have the combination of singing, dancing and of course, drinking. Either when they are waiting for school to open or just wanting to hang out during the weekends, this is the perfect place for all students including adults to get away from their worries and stress. A very common issue shared between the two groups and this shop may help them with that!
What do you plan to do with the shop?:
I have a full-on step-by-step plan on how I am going to run my shop from beginning to middle. There may not be an end since I may change up the shop or anything that deals with the shop. Here is what I plan to do:

First, I will have the shop built of course. Stocking up and supplying all the necessary items for the shop, which includes food, beverages, alcohol and so on. Making sure all karaoke rooms are prepared and finished along with the seatings for the bar part of the shop as well as the stage and dance floor are set up. I will also be having my office set up as well.

Secondly, I will run a test drive of how it will go (this is usually done in my head)- preparing my adverts and making sure everything is set in place, I will be able to (hopefully) advertise that my shop is now open for applicants and since sometimes the books crash certain people I will have a website for applicants to go to instead since I find it to be faster that way. I will have my long list of the applicant's names, age, current employment and the reason for working at my shop. After selecting potential workers, I will have them come by my shop again to set up an interview within my office as I read over their application once more.

Finally, I will assign the workers their appropriate tasks/jobs that they either applied for or I assigned them myself. We will have, what I call a workflow test. I will be inviting certain families or people who are well known around Karakura to do this test. This will probably be done for the first two days. We will all work together to make sure the customers are happy and satisfied. After all the customers are satisfied and have left, all the workers will add up the amount they were given from customers and I will take the money and equally split that amount between them all!

Now as for possible events that could happen at this shop. There are multiple possibilities when it comes to owning a karaoke bar shop. Here is a list of what I have so far:

Singing under the Moonlight ~ The name already implies as to what the event is. One day I will have the shop open a specific night ICly where everyone may come in dressing professionally or comfortably to sing either solo or as a duo and show off your talents. The judges, of course, will be neutral and I will make sure of that. The winner of the event will win a money prize and will be known as “Ruler of Karaoke” within our shop.

Heartbucks and Karaoke ~ I was able to get the approval from the owner of Heartbucks to be able to do a collab/crossover event! If this application does get accepted, the event will take place when both owners are available and online. This event will have employees of both shops including the owners, serve the customers both of their products and services. A delightful combination of coffee and all-night karaoke!

Adult- Drunk Karaoke ~ A group of adults may only participate in this event while others may watch. For this event, we may have a split section for this to happen. Adults will drink as much as they can before they reach their breaking point then they will proceed to do karaoke as entertainment for the other sober people. The last adult standing- or in other words sing the best after drinking a lot may win prize money. (This event is still in a debate process of course).

Disney Night ~ For this event anyone can participate! Each participant has to sing a Disney song and the participant with the best singing may win prize money and be crowned "Disney Prince/Princess" of the shop. (Not everyone may know a Disney song so they have the ability to search up the lyrics ooc'ly or simply just don't participate).

Again this is only a couple of ideas for now. I'm sure I will have more to offer and tell once this shop becomes a thing.

How will your shop be unique?:
Well first off it’s automatically unique since there is no other shop like this. A place to sing and dance while being able to order drinks and chill with friends! Of course, the shop design will also be unique since we will be doing a purple or blue themed modern look for the interior. The exterior will also have it's’ modernized look making it look mysterious to the eye which could make the customers more interested to take a peek inside. Not only that but its' popular- well soon to be popular events will make customers enjoy being within the shop since the main focus are the customer's happiness. These events will have customers coming back for more especially if they are competitive as well. Unlike most shops, this is a true hangout place for students and even adults to be chill and be themselves. The shop gives people the chance to express their talents to others whether it's by the events or by some simple karaoke! The shop will have VIP rooms that customers may reserve beforehand. Of course, they may register for one at the shop but it will be more expensive that way. The VIP rooms are larger than the regular karaoke rooms and more comfortable. I also plan to have custom items- food made to add to our menu. A very popular but not yet added item would be Japanese pudding, a sweet and lovely flavor that may balance out the strong flavor of the alcohol. I may also possibly add taiyaki, another popular food but not yet added to the server! Both the pudding and taiyaki may be used as starter sweet snacks for any customer that has a VIP room. This may also be sold at the bar but will be a lot more expensive.

The Layout: On the first floor there will be a huge colorful dance floor along with a stage for any type of events we may have or just for announcements. There will also be a bar section that displays all alcohol drinks behind the counter. All food, drinks and alcohol prices will be listed in front of the bar counter. The bar section will be on the other side of the room and all seating will be near it and around the dance floor. Somewhere in the back of the first floor will be a section for host/hostess waiting for a customer to register themselves for a karaoke room. This will be a large counter since there may be lots of hosts/hostesses and a lot of customers waiting. Next to that area will be stairs that the host will lead the customers to. Upstairs are all karaoke rooms including the V.I.P karaoke rooms and my possible office. Near the staircase will be at least 6 regular karaoke rooms and 4 V.I.P karaoke rooms. I chose this many for each due to how expensive the V.I.P rooms are and how big they are. There will also be a huge party room for gatherings and such that can only be reserved beforehand.

How many employees are you planning to have?:
As mentioned in the above questions, I talked about the process of how the shop will go when it is first accepted. So to answer this question I will first choose at least 20 to maybe 25 potential applicants (if there are that many) to be able to work at my shop. Out of those 20 or 25, I will have at least picked out 10 or more depending on how big the shop is to be workers. I will start out with at least 6 of them working at the shop just to see how the shop will flow for the first few days. If everything goes right I may add the rest to come work in the shop along with us.

Bartender(s) ~ I will be having at least 2 bartenders to manage the bar. They will greet each customer with a smile and of course, give the customer the drink they would like. They have the ability to also serve food if the customer wants any. Since they will be managing the bar they will also need to be keeping the area clean including any glass cups that were given to the customers. We want a clean environment so the rule of keeping the area cleaned will be enforced.

Host/Hostess(s) ~ There will be at least 4-5 hosts/hostess. The host or hostess will be taking care of the customer needs in the karaoke portion of the shop. They will either be inside or right outside the door for whenever the customer needs them for either food, drinks, or possibly any technical issues. If the customer reports any technical issue to the host, the host should come directly to the owner about it and the customer may be removed from the room and put into any other available room. If all regular karaoke rooms are taken then they have the right to be able to get a VIP karaoke room. The VIP karaoke room is more secluded and private. If a host is needed for these types of rooms they would be at the entrance to the VIP area. They are also responsible for making sure the rooms are cleaned. Like I said before we want a clean environment for the customers so the rule has to be enforced.

Security ~ With a bar comes with a lot of drunk people. I will have at least 1-2 security guards at the entrance of the door on the inside. The guard will stop every customer making sure they are cleared of weapons or anything that can be used to harm people. This will also be useful for any chaos that may happen within the shop. Any fight that may break out, it is the guard job to break it up immediately, either kicking one or all those involved within the fight.

As for the employee’s uniforms, here the examples (security may wear anything that is formal, an all-black attire):

Side information: I would like to be the age of 28 if possible. Also, if this application gets accepted I already have an idea as to where the shop can go so I would like to discuss that as well! My discord is HighlightedTwin#8826. All credits for the uniforms go to @lilana#6454!
