WHAT YOU NEED REQUESTED:
So there is something I find unreasonable within the rules. I get this server is meant to be appropriate for all ages, but there needs some work for the 'ERP' Rule.

- With ERP you cannot action out anything sexual, write sexual related things in a book, you cannot write a sexual related sign, but yet you are allowed to say stuff like "Your mom is Alstroms Sex toy?" and things like "You watch porn?" I mean I get ERP and I understand the rule, but why are you allowed to also say the same things? I mean the whole thing is meant to be E for everyone but they are allowed to talk nasty the moment they turn it into a action is when it's bannable?? In my opinion that makes no sense and this needs to be fix. I know someone who got banned for writing on a sign on there apartment "There would be thongs laying here" I get why this is a ban, I know someone who got banned for ERP because they wrote sexual stuff in a book, I get it. I have a friend who got banned for actioning to far in RomanceRP again I get it, I have a friend who got banned for ERP for peeing. Now for this one I personally don't agree with it as its nothing Erotic but I still understandable I guess. But then someone says "Kazu, your mom is Alstroms Sex toy" and that is perfectly fine? That is worse then all of the above

I can understand if you want to make the server "E for Everyone" but one of the characteristics a character can hold is having a faulty mouth or such. I suppose we can consider continuously using inappropriate language without a motive ERP but if you use it once or twice for a good reason then I don't really see the issue with it. It can be confusing too since if I say "That guy is such a d-ck" then by your words, that's ERP. I believe that saying "naughty" things shouldn't be bannable but saying erotic things to the point where it makes the opposite party uncomfortable should be (not sure if that's already the case.). Plus, the server has recently limited a lot of things to make the server "E for Everyone" and I don't think this is worth removing. Removing these words/making them bannable, I believe, would remove a lot from the element of RP, especially when it comes to insulting someone. Perhaps SRP could just add censoring to these words so things like "Sex" would come out as "S--" or "Porn" would come out as "P--n"

The censoring part might be a good idea. I am saying I am like 90% sure that the reason you cannot ‘ERP’ is so it’s child friendly. The thread is about What difference does it make you action to pulling your dick out then if you where to say “I’m going to pull out my dick?” Like it’s the same thing. You might try and say something like “Oh there teenagers and some are adults as well, they are going to talk dirty” but like I can turn that around and immediately respond “Teenagers and Adults have sex all the time. It’s so common that most people lose there virginity before they are legally allowed to. (Below age of consent which normally is 16-17) Then to further that so many teenagers suffer to teenage pregnancies. So I think each both talking ERP, and doing ERP should be against the rules or simply neither. There are things on the server like
• Cussing
• Gang Violence
• Fantasy Glore
Those would affect the ratings which is why ERP sometimes feels pointless. Although this makes some people uncomfortable, and the violence doesn’t normally.

Erping rules currently exists because the server doesn't want people using SRP to e-fuck, it has little to do with 'E for Everyone' and more to do with the fact that The sever policy doesn't like erotica and people doing stuff that can be perceived as disgusting.

Stuff like you mentioned there are not erotica in the slightest, they reference erotic things and materials without delving into anything actually erotic. Referencing erotic things whilst actually not committing them is what you mention and is something that should be allowed. If my character wants to say he fucked your mum, he should be allowed to say it.

As for censoring; I hate the idea! its stupid, plain and simple.

First part of your thing is noted. That might be a reasoning and if that it’s then I got not arguments, but if it’s about stoping ‘E-Fucking’ then why can you still F2B, and get banned for Erotic Literature and ERP for mentioning something Erotic in a sign?

The second part of that paragraph you said “The server policy doesn’t like erotica and people doing stuff that can be perceived as disgusting.” Now what’s the difference in saying “I am going to turn your mom into my sex you” and then actioning “Uses mom as sex toy” it’s let’s the same damn thing. Just as nasty.

Now in the 2nd paragraph you said “Stuff like you mentioned there are not erotica in the slightest, they reference erotic things and materials without delving into anything actually erotic.” Now yes but what difference does it make that you actually dove into something Erotic just to mention it? To not “E-Fuck”? Hate to tell you but we still F2B and some even take it to DM’s.

Towards the end you said “If my character wants to say he fucked your mum, then he should be allowed to say that.” I mean just because something like this is added doesn’t mean that you automatically can get banned for the smallest things. There would probably be a balance to it set in place.

I value your input speaking your Status on this server, but try and be a little nicer. Maybe it’s just me bust your response came off toxic.

Honestly, I get your point, this is a simple answer to your suggestion. There is a lot between doing something and saying something. Like if I said I am going to punch you, vs if I punch you. With the words, you aren't getting hurt, vs if I did punch you, you would get hurt.

People say stuff like that IRL and the server is still somewhat supposed to be realistic, plus it’s most likely the character’s personality. As for your friend who got banned for ‘using the restroom,’ I don’t think it’s necessarily ERP, it’s just disgusting to see in chat, even if it’s simply words it’s a gross thought to picture.

People can still fade to black because it’s similar to a scene in a movie. You didn’t see anything they did, but yeah you get the idea. If people make you feel uncomfortable by their actions or words ICly, just walk away or tell them LOOCly. I understand what they said is disgusting, but limiting cuss words and small innapropriate words just limits roleplay.

(Contains sensitive and erotic topics)

I understand what you are trying to suggest, and appears to have many disagreements with the people. What I wanted to add was what the staff of SchoolRP define as ERP and sensitive topics. For example, ERP is mainly implied to prohibit sexual actions in the server as it should not be a host for e-sex, as stated by Sam above. Not only that, but the server is not meant to be a place to act out necrophilia, bestiality, and other disgusting topics. Another rule states that some sensitive topics such as suicide, gruesome GangRP, etc. cannot be roleplayed unless both sides consent to it being done. Altogether, this is to prevent players not involved with that roleplay to witness something that they may find disturbing, disgusting, etc. If someone was roleplaying out taking a leak in a toilet and a bystander is nearby, they may begin to get uncomfortable, disturbed, etc. which is not what people should have to be at risk of when playing.

Do I have to say what's been said already? Yes, I do. I've stated this so many times but I will continue to say it: if ERP means erotic/disturbing actions then why is "/me would cut off the person's liver with their katana" permitted? That's disturbing at some point isn't it? Plus, it's not the same saying "Your mother is a sexual toy" than actually actioning performing the sexual act with someone. Upon understanding this, you can get why f2b is a thing.

That would be true in a real life stand point. But you must keep in mind this is a online game, no one is actually getting hurt or actually.....uhh.. fucked

No one said anything about limiting cuss words. Besides you said “People say stuff like that IRL” people also have sex irl it’s supper common. With that logic this might come off toxic and I apologize if it does but with that logic the whole ‘ERP’ should remove since it could likely be a character, and it’s a realistic feature.

See I get where you coming from but if what you stated is true, then why do people get banned for Erotic Literature, and ERP for making a inappropriate sign? That’s kinda like what I keep stating, I get maybe SRP don’t want to be a place for people to “E-Fuck” but then that doesn’t explain why it’s against the rules to write inappropriate things and make signs of inappropriate things?

Again when it comes to an online stand point it kinda is the same thing to call someone a sexual toy then to say the same in a color coded text (/me)

also ‘ERP’ stand for Erotic Roleplay, not Erotic/disturbing actions. So that part was kind of just false.

i think the problem is that a lot of srp players are minors. and erotic roleplay could easily be mistaken for sexting, which is not only disturbing but also illegal. I don't see a big problem with characters joking around and making sexual remarks, since it's not illegal (I don't think). Maybe I get that some people take it a little too far to the point where it becomes uncomfortable/triggering, but you can just tell them that you're uncomfy with those jokes or that what they said was too far (say it oocly ofc).

Not gonna lie you make a lot of sense. The others some made sense but had flaws, this one I find most arguable. However I will say most are minors and age of legal consent varies between 16-18. Most player are not that old yet. I get where you coming from but I don't think a adult should talk to a child like that. A grown ass man talked to a child under age of legal consent in sexualized manner it's still an illegal offense. I am just saying it makes no sense though why ERP included writing in a book, writing signs, and actions, but simply saying it isn't bad. I mean like I get the whole SRP not wanting to be used for E-Sex but then why is the signs and literature illegal? That isn't E-Sex, it's just icly, writing your thoughts on a book. Then the sign one it could simply be describing something like "Some underwear would lay here"

I ASK PEOPLE TO PLEASE READ THE REPLIES AS WELL. SOME HAVE TEND TO NOT COME UP WITH A SOLUTION OR A REASON THAT IT'S BANNABLE TO USE SIGNS, BOOKS, AND ACTIONS TO ERP BUT TALIKING OUT THE ERP ISN'T, THAT'S THE MAIN THING THIS THREADS ABOUT!

I get where you’re coming from but you also gotta understand it’s roleplay. Yes there are gonna be instances where it makes people uncomfortable and it’s disturbing to which the person should indeed say in ooc or discuss with a staff member about it if it’s clear that it has gone too far. ERP doesn’t stop as far as simply actions either from my experience- sadly- where the dude talked about the aftermath of it getting us both banned. Of course I appealed, clearly explaining what the situation was as I didn’t know what he said would cause trouble.

I think the problem is how each staff member sees ERP as and one of the problems is what’s considered ERP when it comes to what’s said in roleplay “verbally”. The people above just has the concern of being censored which is understandable as looc and ooc already does that job. Why? Because anything said ooc or looc can and will be taken offense to because almost everyone on the server knows what it means to be in roleplay and out of roleplay. This is why “most” people don’t get toxic ooc when something is said in character because it’s clearly not real even though it’s weird that the person behind the screen is making their character say and/or do things.

You also have to understand that being online was never a safe place to begin with for everyone. ERP, yeah everyone eventually does it oocly, but what about being doxxed and getting your information sold to the dark web? That’s worse than anything to do with erp which is why they aren’t censoring us in the first place. One is taken more seriously than the other because one is being dealt with oocly. And when things are said and done oocly? You get banned for being a troll etc..

Point is, everyone is pretty much against it as they don’t want to be censored IN CHARACTER because someone on the server took what another person said too seriously instead of going to get staff to handle the situation that made the person uncomfortable.

I didn't come up with the censor idea and as nice as this was, most had nothing to do with my points. I am not trying to remove ERP or anything but come up with a more logical view in staff eyes. Like for example the only argument I've seen to tell me why saying sexual stuff icly is allowed while an action isn't is that SRP don't want to be a place where people can come to "E-Fuck" I get that argument but that doesn't explain why peeing, writing inappropriate literature and describing something sexual with /it or sign is bannable. I don't 100% know what the right solution is to make more sense but it makes no sense how that works. Just fix it to where there isn't a hole needing to be patched in the rules!

Because talking about topics isn't erotic, but having them actioned out is. There is clear difference between
"Hey *insert name*! your mums so fat that using her as a sex toy was boring! hahaha NERD."
and
*there would be pictures of *inserted names mother* in photoshopped sexual positions* on a sign

I know someone who got banned for writing on a sign on there apartment "There would be thongs laying here" I get why this is a ban, I know someone who got banned for ERP because they wrote sexual stuff in a book, I get it.
There isn't a difference, they're both acting it out.

I have a friend who got banned for actioning to far in RomanceRP again I get it, I have a friend who got banned for ERP for peeing. Now for this one I personally don't agree with it as its nothing Erotic but I still understandable I guess.
1). People who action too far do it because they're feeling sexually active, not because of anything else, ever. They're minor erping (which albeitly is allowed) but there is a point in which they cross.

2) You don't need to do

/me would take out large ****, beginning to piss as he'd let his liquids out amongst the toilet, moaning as he breathed out in relief, having pleased his bodily organs.

when you can easily do /me would do toilet things in which isn't weird.

But then someone says "Kazu, your mom is Alstroms Sex toy" and that is perfectly fine? That is worse then all of the above
its in no way ERP in the slightest, its bullying icly but not acting out sexual stuff in the slightest.

What your proposing is that we strengthen current ERP rules to therefore censor stuff that isn't acting out explicit sexual meaning in the slightest.

There is a real big difference between sexual context and acting out sexual actions.

Having reread this all, what your proposing is silly, SRP isn't a little kid server. But it also isn't a place for e-fucking either. I am not a fan of censorship, and especially not for 'kiddfying rp' SRP isn't a place for children and your suggestion acts more like a roblox censorship chat plugin then anything constructive or worthwhile.
