Yen Display Suggestion

Realistically, you'd carry yen in your pocket, out of sight. If you want to check the amount you have, you'd get it out and count it. I don't see why you should always be able to see your balance unless you're already holding your money in your hand.
Perhaps there could be a yen item where it can display your total amount when you hold it? Like a stack of money? I dunno, but to always see your balance wouldn't be realistic unless you're actively holding/looking at it. If the new player thing is the problem, I suggest to revamp the tutorial and make sure there's text at plaza (maybe like the text at safe zones?) telling people how to get to the tutorial.

I agree with what Oliverium said as well, but not all realism has to be taken into rp. It's more of a quality-of-life update.

As Kana previously mentioned, SRP doesn't focus on primarily realism (not related but as cloud said before, embrace believability, not realism!). If we were then we wouldn't be able to see the time on our screen and we wouldn't be able to see the temperature either! There are many other things that would fall under this category as it's more so a quality-of-life type thing (though I'm pretty sure the temperature might be moved to phones only in the future).

Also, if there's one extra thing I've come to learn, it's that most new players don't read or do the tutorial. They try to find the fastest way to get out of the area and end up skipping important information unfortunately

I don't think we get to talk shit about laziness when we added an automatic shop panel, teleportation to classes and an automated tax calculation system for shop owners and custom items.

instead of looking at it in the sense of realism, remember this is a game, not a simulation of one-to-one life where each detail is a prying factor in your immersion, it's all blocks.

Instead of thinking of it as laziness to type /bal, think of it as a quality-of-life feature that isn't detrimental to the impact of the server's workings.

wish I had some creative statement to add to this but I don't.

Cannot wait to see a glitched screenshot of @MikeShotZ 's balance and it not fitting on the screen at all

Even so, i feel that it would be helpful to some players having it right there for you to see at all times. Sure as you said you'd have to pull out a wallet but in a sense its not even that. Its just an OOC reminder as to how much you have on you. Sure if you wanna RP out getting money from a wallet that is an option too. Either all i see what you would mean by that. As @Silver said it'd be good if you're able to enable and disable it but thats a bit far fetched. Not impossible but a bit difficult.

If we want to take it that realistically, we should only be able to have one character, and can't change rpnames unless your a new player with a new character and if we need a new last name it would have to be done in town hall. Not everything has to be in RP

WHAT YOU WANT TO SUGGEST OR MENTION: How does a little icon at the bottom of the screen next to the hot-bar that displays how much yen you have. For example in the image. It would save people from having to go and do /balance every time they want to check. With this it'd just add a little icon showing you in one glance. It'd make it much easier for players.
HOW WILL THIS BENEFIT THE SERVER/COMMUNITY?: As said above, it'd save alot of time and make it easier even for newer players to see how much yen they have. I've noticed that newer players keep asking how much yen do i have and sure all they have to do is /balance or /bal, it'd still make it much much easier. :D
