i have done all the following steps all you guys had told me to do, but the resourcepack isn't loading for me. so if anyone have an idea how to fix this, i will be greatfull, and this is for the staffs too please help me as soon asp. :)

I have seen recently on the server that people do not know which is the right URL to go to as some sights will give your laptop/pc a virus. I don't want this to happen to me is there any way I could get the link to the right website in order to download Optifine?

As aether said make sure that you have the resource pack from the server enable by clicking onto the server and then bottom right there is an option change it to enable and then try again

Ok so I have used this link and successfully installed the file, now I might be stupid, but when I go into the resource pack settings it only gives me the option to open a pack folder, so I went into that, I found the file ran it and then it brings me back to the start it doesn't give me the option to download. How can I fix this?

Hey!
Sorry to hear about the inconvenience. When you install Optifine, make sure Minecraft is closed prior to running the new .jar. Briefly after you run the .jar, a new version will be available in your Minecraft Launcher profiles. By selecting and launching this version, you've successfully equipped Optifine - and hopefully, the server resource pack as well. Additionally, make sure you've enabled your resource packs. You may do this by selecting the server and 'Edit' on the bottom left corner. From here, confirm it states, 'Server Resource Packs: Enabled;' adjust if necessary. For further instruction, you may view @Aether's response. Hope this helped!

i'm on a mac so i cant download optifine because it like an unknown supplier or sum. but every-time i play my game just crashes. Ive tried literally everything and i checked if my resource packs were enabled and they are. Ive also reinstalled mc many times

You can still run Optifine on Mac. I seriously don't know what you're talking about as many Mac users have Optifine. Keep trying.

I do have a MacBook Pro - Optifine DOES work on Mac due to me actually having it mainly for shaders. You do not need to uninstall MC, It has nothing to do that with. Have you looked up a tutorial on Youtube on how to do it?

what works for me to open files like optifine because i got the same pop up to is i right click on the file

like that, click open, and it should open

This link has non virus infected downloads of Optifine HD. http://shadersmods.com/optifine-hd-mod/ . It seems to work fine for me. There are other Optifine versions on the site too if you want to use those instead. Make sure to download the 1.13.2 version and then run the download and it should do everything automatically for you after you run it.

I was giving them something that worked for me, but the official website is probably a better option. Matter of fact I might download a different type of optifine. The HD one doesn't have as many options as I have found out recently.
