What is your motivation for applying?:
When I graduate post-secondary, I plan on pursuing a job in the medical field, and the exact job I would like to pursue is being an orthopaedic surgeon (although I am applying for doctor) - dealing with the musculoskeletal system. Being a surgeon on this server would help add to my preparation for the position (albeit not that much) and thanks to my interest, this will definitely be something I would enjoy on the server for a while now.
What do you know about medical practice?:
I would say for my age I have a well rounded knowledge for the medical practice, I have studied procedures, different medicines and their uses, human anatomy, hospital codes, and the strands of surgery. After taking interest in the surgical practice I started studying more into the medical field. I understand biochemistry and basic human anatomy. I would be able to name the bones in the body if it was needed. I know how to identify a concussion, and internal bleeding. I have studied pathophysiology to better understand the body under medications. I have read many lectures on surgical practice and general medicine. I also fully understand how CT, MRI and ECGs function and their importance. At the moment I am taking an online Yale University course on psychology and feel like this opportunity would better my medical knowledge. I know many people that work in the hospital and they have taught me multiple important factors of working at a hospital. I believe that I know what I need to to become a surgeon academically. I fully understand the process of surgery, first they assess the injury, they get all the needed surgeons they may need, then they plan, this could be as it progresses if a trauma surgery is needed or it could be over the course of weeks or months. Before the surgery the patient must go under an assessment to see if they are mentally and physically prepared for the surgery as if they are not it could compromise the surgery. Surgeons are similar to doctors, they are both physicians but the job of a surgeon is to fix the body by going into it and extracting the problem more aggressively.

Yes, I am aware of this. My character in question is currently in 12th grade, but I am completely fine with changing my age up to 28 or whatever age that is required.

On the job, Benji is calm, cool, and collected, confident in what he’s doing and focused on the job. He speaks to colleagues with a calm but assertive tone. He makes sure to stay on top of his work and is never late without a solid legitimate excuse. The passion he has for his work makes him dedicated to doing the best he can.
Off the job Benji is a well liked, peppy person who enjoys conversing with anyone regardless. He enjoys being with others and is very much so an extrovert. Though he enjoys having fun he knows that school/work always come first as they are more important.
What do they look like?
Benji would be an average heighted male at 5’10 with a gentle smile. He has brown eyes and tanned skin, he’d have curly dark brown hair. Benji would have an average build, but on the more muscular side.

No, Benji does not have any mental or physical illnesses, he is in good health and with the knowledge he has on wellness and wellbeing he should stay in good health for a long time.

Benji Courtenay was born in Tokyo, Japan to diplomat parents native to Karakura. As an only child, he was always the center of attention to his parents and distant family. From a young age, Benji had to learn to keep to himself and stay independent, while also making friends quickly and easily. The reason for this was because his family was always on the move from place to place. When he was only 5, his parents moved from Tokyo to Montreux, Switzerland, and he lived there for a limited amount of time before moving to Liege, Belgium and picking up French in the meantime. When he turned 8, his family moved to Seoul, and he found himself becoming more interested in books and specifically science. He became essentially a walking book of scientific terms and definitions, and realized that he wanted to become a surgeon when he grew up. After Seoul, his family returned to France, and Benji lived there for the longest time, perfecting his French and continuing to discover more about himself and his interest. When Benji turned 13, he began to realize his attraction to guys, and at the age of 14, finally got the courage to come out to his parents and friends at the time about his sexuality. His parents were conservative and mildly disapproved of his sexuality, and while they didn’t do anything drastic, they would subtly try to “convince” him that he was straight, however overtime they came to accept Benji with reluctance. When Benji was 15, he went to Monaco for a year, before going to China and returning back to Karakura at the age of 17. Before he knew it, Benji was focusing on his studies once more and was ready as ever to go into the field he had dreamed of since the year of 8.
