Level 21
[OOC section]

In Game Name: 02PM

School Employee Role you are Applying For: Head Nurse

How often do you log onto the server?: Considering I am currently on summer break, I will most likely be on every day. I usually wake up around 7am-10am, and get on about an hour after. I may take occasional breaks throughout the day if I get bored or have work to do around the house. But after that, I pull all nighters from 10pm to around 2am-5am (hence the days when I sleep in until 11am).

Do you have discord?: Yes, my discord is two#9136.

Do you have a microphone?: Yes.

Have you ever been banned, If yes when and why?: When I first joined the server, I was not aware of the rules. I was temporarily banned for reaching the limit of 5 warnings. However, since my ban that year ago, I have not been banned since.

Can you ensure that you will often come on?: Yes, I will in fact often come on, considering the advantage of being on summer break.

Do you recognise that you can be ICly fired?: Yes, I am well aware that I can be fired in character.

In as much detail as possible, describe the role of your chosen school employee:
A Head Nurse's job is to direct the organization of the nursing unit within the school. This executive is involved in assessing, evaluating and setting nursing care standards and objectives for the organization. In addition to overseeing the operations of the nursing unit, heads of nursing provide leadership and supervision to their direct reports, including nurse managers and the nursing staff.

Do you have any past experience in this type of roleplay?: No, I have never had much experience of being a Head Nurse. However, being a teacher in SRP will come to my
advantage, for when a student needs medical attention, it is still a teacher's job to apply as much help they can to the student. Those past situations will help me in my nursing role.

What experience, in general, do you have in roleplay?: I have been roleplaying for a total of seven years, beginning with the server Creative Fun. At age seven, I found roleplaying an interesting way of becoming people or things that is impossible or hard to do in real life. As I continued to roleplay as I got older, I have fell in love with it. When I stopped being active on Creative Fun, my friend introduced me to SchoolRP. I have previously been interested in highschool roleplays, for I built one myself on my very own plot on the previous server. The fact that SRP had a plugin for a infinite tracker of time and school schedules intrigued me the most. I began roleplaying as the default rank of a student, starting as a freshman. I enjoyed exploring around the map, making new friends, and attending classes. As I began to become bored playing the role as a student, I fell in love with the idea of becoming a teacher. Since my favorite subject has been humanities, also known as history, I decided to apply for a History Teacher role. Thus being accepted, I gained experience working with students and other employees, dealing with what could be real life situations; such as misbehaving students, stress of making plans, and helping others with their personal or educational struggles. As I loved roleplaying as a teacher, I realized it just isn’t for me. I know a Head Nurse is more beneficial for everyone, and it has been a great interest of mine for awhile now.

Are you familiar with what your job does? If so, describe it: After thoroughly researching the job of an Head Nurse, I am well aware of what the job does. A Head Nurse most commonly has a Master of Science in Nursing degree, which can open the door to a wide variety of nursing management positions. The head of nursing is responsible for the direction, organization and strategic planning of the nursing unit within a hospital or other healthcare facility. This executive is involved in assessing, evaluating and setting nursing care standards and objectives for the organization. In addition to overseeing the operations of the nursing unit, heads of nursing provide leadership and supervision to their direct reports, including nurse managers and the nursing staff. Among other responsibilities, individuals in this role will typically p
lan the staffing budget and recruitment, ensure that nursing care meets regulatory standards, review and approve nursing policies and procedures, evaluate nursing staff performance, collaborate with nursing staff, upper management and external agencies in the coordination of patient care, train nursing management staff and coordinate educational programs for patients and their families, facilitate meetings with medical staff from other departments, ensure that nursing care medical services are meeting patient needs, implement quality assurance systems, and develop new patient care programs. One of the key knowledge areas required for heads of nursing is governmental healthcare regulations pertaining to nursing care. Understanding best practices in nursing procedures and staying current on healthcare administration industry developments are also important. This position requires good supervisory and delegation skills in order to lead and direct nursing staff. The head of nursing needs to be familiar with human resources procedures related to hiring, retaining and promoting nursing personnel. In addition, individuals in this role should possess proven ability to manage and evaluate nursing staff; strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; proficiency in multi-tasking and handling stressful situations; and talent for negotiation and collaboration.

[Situations]

During a workshift a student starts cursing at you for being pathetic, how do you react?: I would simply tell them to grow up, for their behavior is very immature and a waste of time for not only me, but their time as well. If they continue, I would give them a warning, and tell them to continue going their own way. If they proceed to back talk or further their behavior, I would give them a punishment for their actions of detention.

You are doing a hazardous job requested by the School Principal, how do you react?: To begin, I would identify what my emotions would occur while being assigned the hazardous job. I would request specific details of my job, and whether or not I would be risking safety of other students or my own. Based on that result, I would either remain calm and execute the job efficiently, or request if someone else more capable could take my assigned job.

Another school employee is doing something very dangerous on the job or acting out of order, how do you react?: I would begin by questioning their actions, and take action myself if needed; especially if it is putting another’s safety at risk. If the employee is continuing to act out of order and putting not only others but themself in danger as well, I would contact the police if it reaches that high of concern and requirements.
