School employee role you are applying for: Lunchtime Monitor

How often do you log onto the server?: I will most likely be online every day, aiming for a minimum of one hour per day.

Do you have TeamSpeak3? Yes.

Do you have a microphone? Yes.

Have you ever been banned, If yes when and why?: ItemRP, but I was fairly new and have learned my lesson.

Can you ensure that you will often come on: Definitely.

Do you recognise that you can be ICly fired?: Of course.

In as much detail as possible, describe the role of your chosen school employee: The role of a lunchtime monitor is to ensure students are behaving correctly during break times. They enforce basic rules such as ‘no running in the halls’ or ‘pick up your rubbish’ or ‘make sure that you leave the area cleaner than how it was when you arrived’ etc. If a student were to have issues during break times, they may confront the lunchtime monitor.

Do you have any past experience in this type of roleplay?: Not on this server.

What experience, in general, do you have in roleplay?: I’ve known about roleplay for a couple years. On this server, I’ve only ever played as a disruptive student who loves to cause mayhem inside the classroom, and a vegan, feminist, easily-triggered character.

Are you familiar with what your job does? If so, describe it: Not really, I only know that lunchtime monitors help maintain proper order during lunch times and deal with any trouble that may arise, eg. a fight amongst students or bullying.

[Situations]

During a workshift a student starts cursing at you for being pathetic, how do you react?: Helen (which would be my lunchtime monitor character’s name) is a ‘hard ass’ (vulgar, uncompromising and somewhat unprofessional) therefore she’d probably insult them back and only give 1 straightforward warning, telling the student to shut up otherwise she’d give the student detention or rubbish duty. If, after punishment, the student continues misbehaving, I may get someone of higher authority involved (eg. HD).

You are doing a hazardous job requested by the School Principal, how do you react?: Get it done, no questions asked.

Another school employee is doing something very dangerous on the job or acting out of order, how do you react?: Though it’d be a little bit hypocritical for my character to tell another school employee they’re acting unprofessionally, I’d still confront the school employee, explaining that they’re acting out of order. I’d ask why they did what they did. I’d then advise that they don’t repeat their actions. I’d still report their wrongdoing to a V.P just to ensure they’re aware of the situation.

[IC section]
Applicant Name:
Helen Brownstein
Chosen Job: Lunchtime Monitor

Motivation for Joining YHS: My main motivation for joining this school was to improve the overall environment; supervising students to make sure they’re following the rules, correcting any wrongdoings and ensuring the general cleanliness of the cafeteria or lunch room once students have left. I am currently in need of a job, and the school is in a great location, situated near the apartments, shops and cafes, which is very beneficial.

Age: 44

Why should you be accepted over the other applicants?: I’ve worked in many different jobs before (such as janitor, dish washer, waitress) therefore I have a lot of experience. I'd know what I’m doing and how to handle any stubborn and uncooperative students. I’m determined, sensible and reliable. I will try my absolute best to make sure students are following the rules and keep the environment clean and safe.
