~General Appearance~

Appearance:
At first, she may seem hard to approach due to the fact that she likes to isolate herself. If you do find her around a lot of people (usually not), they're probably close friends or she's in a situation where she doesn't have a choice.
Personality:
Her personality would depend upon who she's around. As an individual who tends to stay away from the general population, she's relatively shy around those she doesn't know when it comes to personal questions. She often tries covering everything up with violence, and she tends to not think before she does anything; for example, fight. She can get herself into things she really shouldn't involve herself in. However, around people she's close with, she's pretty open. When around a mixture of both of these (friends & strangers), she'll often resort to speaking other languages to keep what she's saying hidden.
Diseases/Illness:
mild anxiety when pressured.
Character Voice:
Since she was born and raised on Oahu, the Hawaiian island, she's kept some of the slang she learned growing up, as well as the way she pronounces certain letters/ phrases. In the video, it shows you some of the basic pronunciation, some of which she tends to use in her daily life.

Equipment:
Alana is pretty simple, carrying nothing illegal as she's 17. She was never the super rebellious kind, and she tends to be all talk. On her, she'd physically carry food (of course), her cell phone, books, light sabers, and miscellaneous hats/accessories.

Clothes:
(as seen under "fashion")
Hobbies:

Serious Problems/Flaws/Addictions/Disorders/Disabilities:
Her tendency to separate herself from others. After previous tragedies growing up, she has a fear to trust. It's been hard for her to make friends, but to the ones she has, she's open with. When intimidated, she tends to be 'all talk', meaning she isn't all that powerful when physically throwing punches. Because of things like her trust issues, she can also become overly anxious, due to her anxiety; which is only a mild case.
Skills:
Trash Talking : )
Quirks:
She's a relatively hyper person, usually climbing the mountain in her free time.
Family:

Mother: Kana
Father: Alexander
Sisters: Kaila, Kekoa [nicknamed Kiki]

~Backstory~

July third of the year two thousand, Alana was born. It was a small hospital on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. Her mother, Kana, had already birthed two children. The two prior to Alana were named Kaila and Kekoa, the second was often nicknamed Kiki. Kaila and Kiki were twins, Alana's female role models after her mother died in childbirth. Soon after Alana arrived, her mother turned into critical condition; and shortly after, she had passed.

Alana can't remember much of her mother, but she can easily go off what her twin sisters tell her. They say she loved nature, and being outdoors. Her mother and her father had married 5 years prior to their birth, and their lives were peaceful. Their father was pretty distant up until the birth of Alana, as he frequently went off on business trips. The girls loved it when he went to the main part of America, especially California. He'd only brought them a few times, but he would always bring them things he gathered during his journey.

After Alana was brought into the world, their father had returned for the final time. He would no longer leave for business reasons, and he's now work from home. He cared a lot about his daughters, and wanted the best for them. He thought being home would help them, as he would be there- whenever they needed.

Alana was similar to her mother, at least that's what her sisters said. She'd usually be outside, within their small community. Alana would hear about the trips her father took all over the world, and she'd envy the way he was able to go so many places.

Her sisters grew distant when Alana was around 15, and they were 20. They wanted to move to California, somewhere closer to the general population of the world. After every trip their father had told them about, they wanted to see it for themselves.

As soon as they let Alana know where they were going, she was eager to get on the plane with them. They had given her the option when they announced it to the family, but Alana wasn't too sure. She knew it wouldn't be the small town she was used to; she knew life would never be the same.

Her father wouldn't be coming, he felt comfort being home. As he aged, he wanted to spend the rest of his life surrounded by the nature of Oahu, the scenery of where he grew up himself. At first, Alana and her sisters were upset that they wouldn't see him every day as they used to; but they were grateful they'd still have family at home, and that they'd always be able to visit and feel welcome.

It was the morning of their flight, and they couldn't be any more excited. It would be the twins' second time in California, and Alana's first. All Alana had to base her expectations off were pictures and stories told by family. Even though she was entering her new life some-what blindly, she was excited for a new, refreshing beginning. She was now 16, preparing for the start of adulthood.

She was now an official Californian, only accompanied by her older sisters. They were the ones who would watch over her; the ones that would make sure her life is going the right direction.

-a few months later-

School's been going pretty good, Alana had surrounded herself with people she thought of as friends. The end of the school year was approaching, and as was her birthday. Her 'friends' finally broke the question to her; "What do you want for your birthday?". When Alana replied with "All I want is to go home", they thought she was being stupid; but in reality, all Alana wanted to do was attend her father's funeral. She had heard about his death that morning, but they continued to morph her words in such way to make her seem worthless, stupid, like she shouldn't belong. The ones she thought of as friends, the ones she trusted with everything turned on her faster than she could imagine.

They thought of her as a 'looser', as someone who doesn't belong in their friend group. Rumors would soon spread, drama surrounding Alana growing.

She wanted to go, to leave everything. She was now 17, about to graduate. She had her driver's license, so she could of gone, but she didn't. She knew she had to graduate, and that's what she did. She couldn't stand facing the girls who warped her words and surrounded her with lies, so she was frequently absent from school; all as her anxiety began to develop and become a usual thing. Her sisters had hired a tutor for her, to try and boost her grades.

She was close. Two months away. She just couldn't do it, she couldn't bring herself to face them once more. The words got to her, she let them feed her lies every class she went to. She told her sisters she wanted to leave, and even though they tried their best to get her to stay, they weren't able to stop her.

Deep in their minds, they probably knew it was best for her, and the day she went, they know they could of stopped her, but they didn't. She was driving to the LA, and soon read a sign saying "Welcome to LAX". She was ready to go, bringing only a few small bags full of luggage.

After hours over hours of flying, she arrived. She was at the "Narita International Airport", in Japan. She had met some new people, and kept those people close. With an occasional call to California, she learned her sisters would be working most of the day, and that she wouldn't be able to call much any more. They were somewhere in the medical field, gaining high-earning jobs they deserved, especially after all the hard working hours they spent at college.

Alana was on her own now; with nobody to turn to. Placed in a city she was unfamiliar with, surrounded by people she knew nothing about.

"It can't be that bad, can it?"
