[OOC section]

In-Game Name:
blurredroses.

School Employee Role you are Applying For:
I'm applying for the position of Office Secretary.

How often do you log onto the server?:
Quite often. My regular time on the server is around 2-4 hours on Mondays-Thursdays. During Fridays-Saturdays, and possibly even Sundays, I am on for maybe 4-6 hours, or perhaps even longer, which usually depends on the day's schedule. However, due to personal matters, there are certain days where I'll be unable to access Minecraft (along with discord on a few occasions.)

Do you have discord?
I do, it is alli#0927, for reference.

Do you have a microphone?
At the current moment, no. A few months ago, I had a minor accident which resulted in my microphone breaking; however, I can join calls on my computer but requires me to type into chat if needed to communicate. If there is a dire need for me to communicate verbally, I can always join on my phone, but it is not the best tool to call with due to bad connections.

Have you ever been banned, If yes when and why?:
I received a ban for 2 full minutes around the end of 2017 or the beginning of 2018, but I can’t recall the reason nor the staff member who enforced the punishment, though, whatever it was I can assure you I changed greatly and matured since that ban.

Can you ensure that you will often come on:
I can. I have a pretty open schedule on breaks such as this, along with the weekends, and while that may be prone to a heavy change since school has started back up, along with the fact that I’ll be a little busy on a different server, I’ll try my absolute best to make time for SchoolRP along with my role, if accepted.

Do you recognize that you can be ICly fired?:
I acknowledge and fully comprehend that if any abuse and/or the neglection of my position would occur, I will be fired.

In as much detail as possible, describe the role of your chosen school employee:
A school’s Office Secretary greets students along with their guardians, providing them with need-to-know information. Office Secretaries schedule appointments, answer calls and give administrative assistance to teachers and their colleagues, the school employees, along with simultaneously assisting in the maintaining of records on students.
They are regularly the first channel of communication when a parent/guardian calls and/or visits the school for subjects such as parent-teacher conferences. They also order and register school supplies, along with verifying information such as doctors/parent notes along with keeping track of students’ attendance. They are allowed to attend meetings and document the important transactions discussed and decided within it. They maintain office supplies along with checking the accumulation of supplies to determine inventory level along with anticipating needed supplies and arranging orders for a restock on them.

Do you have any experience in this type of roleplay?:
Unfortunately, I do not have any roleplay experience in any type of School Employee or any school staff role, to begin with. However, I am prone to adapt quickly to new things I decide to take on. Another addition is that I have a good knowledge of this position; which can be seen from above, which will make it a tad easier to adjust to a role like this.

What experience, in general, do you have in roleplay?:
I'd say a lot of experience. At first, my roleplaying was mainly with a small group of friends where we'd experiment with our characters by putting them in certain situations, watch them develop over time, et cetera. This was around 3-4 years ago, I believe. Then, I began to branch out for a different kind of roleplay where I'd be able to interact with other characters with my own, develop possible friendship like bonds or enemy like bonds, have an unknown rode that your character will slowly go down in as they develop more, meet new people, et cetera.
I then came across SchoolRP almost 3 years ago. It took me a little bit to get accustomed to the rules and such, as I was learning about many things on the server by myself. But, not long after I slowly began to grow as a roleplayer, mainly thanks to SchoolRP and the friends I met and who assisted me. So, I suppose I have a fairly good experience with roleplaying.

Are you familiar with what your job does? If so, describe it:
Office Secretaries help manage supplies in the office, such as taking note of the needed supplies and taking charge in the restock of them. They're in charge of verifying notes from parents and/or doctors along with verifying other documents such as important information discussed in meetings, student information and they keep track of student attendance. They provide students and their guardians with important information and are usually the first contact for a student's parents/guardians. They schedule appointments, answer phone calls and lastly, they assist their colleagues and the teachers in fundamental ways.

[Situations]

During a work shift a student starts cursing at you for being pathetic, how do you react?:
I ignore the insults as that's what they are, mere insults. Then I would pull the individual aside to speak with them. I'll inform them that they should not treat classmates along with school faculty in their previous manner, as it's downright disrespectful. Instead, I'll tell them to give constructive criticism instead of rude insults maybe if anyone is possibly doing something they don't like, that doesn't seem right or ways to improve themselves. However, of course, I'd give them a verbal warning as that behavior is unacceptable.
However, if they disregarded what I had previously said and I catch them disrespecting others in the same way, or any worse, I'll contact their guardians or a Vice-Principal/Principal.

You are doing a hazardous job requested by the School Principal, how do you react?:
I would attempt at the given job as best as I possibly could while making sure no danger or impairment would befall any students, school staff, or myself. Of course, if the job has proven to be too risky, or it automatically proves to be critical to the students and staff after careful ****ysis of it, I will decide whether or not to bring it up to the principal based on the potential risks it may bring.

Another school employee is doing something very dangerous on the job or acting out of order, how do you react?:
If the task they were assigned were from the Principal or Vice-Principal, I would attempt to assist them in any minor way possible if there is no work in the office at that time. I'll try to keep students away from the area if the assessment is dangerous for people to be around, along with other school staff and teachers. Of course, though, if it's too dangerous to perform, I'll attempt to convince them to bring it up with whoever gave them a risky job.
If they were performing a dangerous action for no work-related reason or acting out of order on the job, I would pull them aside to discuss with them. I'd state that the employee shouldn't be operating so reckless and careless, along with the fact that they must be professional and level headed on their job. We're supposed to be something similar to a role model to the students, seeing one acting out of line would possibly leave a bad influence.

[IC section]

Applicant Name:
Charlotte Brodeur.

Chosen Job:
Office Secretary.

Motivation for Joining YHS:
As my current job isn't exactly the best, and not really my cup of tea, I'd like to join the YHS for the simple fact that I'd like to help around the school and the office while assisting my colleagues and the Office Manager to keep the office on track, and I'd like to help the students in any way to help them ascend to college and graduate, along with helping the Teachers make this possible for their students.

Age:
25-years-old.

Why should you be accepted over the other applicants?:
I am a very hardworking individual. I waste no time during my jobs or assignments, and I attempt to perform exceptional results, along with the fact that I'm a very patient, calm person, which is usually needed when you're working with kids or young adults, even tricky colleagues. I'm very cooperative as well with my other co-workers, and I do love helping people, whether they be students or fellow school faculty. Moreover, while I know I must prove this so you can believe it, I am worthy of the said role for my work ethic, knowledge of the job, and my patience.
