Dissrupted#6310
What is your timezone/What country are you from?:
My timezone is MST, I am from the U.S.
Do you have a microphone and are able to speak VIA discord?:
Yes, I have a mic, and I can speak VIA discord. I have a Blue Snowball, so quality would not be an issue.
Do you acknowledge that if you are inactive you can be removed from the team at any given time?:
Yes, I understand that if I am inactive I can be removed at any time. I do not plan on going inactive, so that will not be an issue. Summer is also coming up, so I will have more free time to be on the server.
What makes you different from other applicants?:
I am a very good writer. I take honors writing, and I am in creative writing 1. I am a very creative person with a lot of ideas. I am very quick to do my work, as soon as it is assigned, it gets done soon after in good quality. I also enjoy writing, it gives me the time to express my self on to the topic which is a very good feeling. I am an avid reader so I know a lot of writing techniques, forms, and the correct grammar forms. I really want to take my writing to the next level, which gives me the determination to write as well, and as fast as possible for you.
Do you have any previous experience writing any lore?:
Yes, I have quite a lot of past writing experience. I wrote for other servers, writing history, character background, and item descriptions. As I said before, I am in honors writing, where I write a lot of essays and learn a lot about writing. My creative writing class also has me write a lot, but mainly about stories I make up with different writing styles and techniques. I also write in my free time, really about anything. Sometimes it's about stories I makeup or some times I write scripts for a YouTube that does some skits. I know that not all of the things I listed here are about lore directly, but I think it is important to list because it shows my past experiences with writing in general.
WRITING PROMPTS

Writing prompt #1

Dallas Collins wakes up in his room around 6:30 every morning in a good mood from last night's dream (Usually about his time in Ireland, hanging out with his friends, exploring the land, and causing a little mischief here and there.) Due to last nights dream, he has a very good out look on whatever day it was. He would get in the shower really fast, singing his favorite songs and winning fake arguments in his head. When he gets out of the shower, he shaves, brushes his teeth, and gets dressed. He would log onto his computer to check his social media, and check out the online news. Then he goes downstairs and eats some pancakes, eggs, and orange juice. He would go down the basement, do 10 pullups and 10 pushups to maintain a good amount of body strength. Then he packs his stuff into his backpack and he heads off to school.

On the way, he does this weird little thing where he tries to walk in the center of the sidewalk, a little challenge he likes to call it. When he gets to school, he says high to people (Not that he knows any of them, he is just a polite person) and then he puts his stuff in his locker. After that, he just goes out into the courtyard in the middle of the school, sits on a bench, and listens to music. When the first period starts, he walks to the class, not walking fast or slow, just getting to the class. When he arrives, he sits in the first seat he sees and waits quietly for the teacher to begin teaching. During the class, he doesn't talk much, he just sits there and does his work. When the class ends, he quietly packs up, and goes back to his spot at the courtyard, and listen to music. Around this time, he starts to feel a little tired, so he takes a nap while he waits for the next class to start. When he wakes up, it is usually the 3rd period (2nd period is his free period) He then takes a sluggish walk to his 3rd-period class. During this class, he is not as animated, just sitting down, and doing his work. Around this time, he looks even more tired then he did before, his eyes would have bags under them, his posture would be slumped over, and he would look almost irritated. When the 3rd period ends, he would go straight to his 4th-hour class, but he would sit in the back of the class, to not show the teacher how tired he felt. He would push through the 4th hour and then walk home.

He would say bye to all the people he saw, then he would sit on the railing right outside of the gate, looking at all the people walking out. Once he got bored of looking at all the students, he would walk back to his house. As he walked home, he would take a little detour, looking at the frat houses, and the c****s, before getting home and playing on his PC. After a few hours of that, at around 20:00, he would go out, looking for parties, or people to hang out with. Depending on if he found people to hang out with, he would hang out with them for about an hour, before returning home for the night. If no one was there to hangout, he would go to the top of the mountain and listen to Lincoln Park. Still, about an hour of sitting up there. When he would get home, he would fall asleep quite easily.

Writing prompt #2

Dallas Collins an 18 year old man from Ireland. He was born July 18th, 2002, to the parents of Sarah, and James Collins in Dublin Ireland. The Collins are a people that came from a long line of mechanics, something that Dallas would grow to hate. Dallas was an only child, being the first, and after several attempts, the last child his parents would have. He lived in a small cabin in the middle of nowhere, full of grass, dirt, and rocks. It rained a lot, which left a some what permanent stench which no one really minded. It was a quiet peaceful place,. The closest town being around 30 minutes away. Growing up, he was an avid sports player, with his favorite being baseball. He started playing baseball when he was 6 years old, when he was watching the movie ‘Major League’ which almost inspired him to start playing. After looking around the house for hours, Dallas found a baseball glove and mitt. He begged his dad forever, until one day, his dad finally went out to toss the ball around with him. Dallas fell in love with it, and shortly after that, he was on a little league team by the name of Hurricanes. His team wasn’t amazing, but he loved to be on the diamond.

When Dallas was 11 years old, his father’s work sent him to Karakura because he was needed in a new part of some long-gone company. Dallas' first memory of Karakura was when he saw all the high school students at the football field, watching the team play. It was memorizing, the students altogether, in unison, cheering on their team. He knew that this school would be where he graduated from. He stopped playing baseball too, as there was not a field for him to play on. which upset him, but he powered through it. But, without all the physical activity baseball brought him, he started to gain weight. At last, he found more interest in video games, specifically ‘Call Of Duty’. But, this would prove to be a fad that faded away within him.

When Dallas started school, he had a rough time making friends. Dallas was 12 years old, 4’9, and a little chubby. He had long blond hair, dressed in basketball shorts, and oversized t-shirts. Dallas was not a popular kid, he was bullied a lot. He never made any real friends, but he did have his own little clique during lunchtime. The only issue with that was, they did not stick around with him after lunch. Towards the end of the school year, Dallas was severely beaten by 4 boys whom he did not know. Those boys would later die when Kazu Kage disbanded. The summer Dallas turned 13, he caught a break. He lost weight, got new clothes, and cut his hair. Once he started looking like that, he started to get friends, girls took notice of him, and he stopped being bullied. He felt happy, but there was a part of him that hated how shallow people were for not taking interest in him before. This made Dallas a much more quiet person, who liked to listen to music and zone out. The school year went very fast, and very easy for Dallas, no one picked on him, and he had friends to talk to when it was needed.

By the time Dallas was 14, His parents were talking about leaving Karakura, which Dallas did not like. But, his parents reassured him that they would remain there for at least another year, which brought Dallas some comfort. By this time, Dallas had completely changed. His friends had either stopped talking to him, or they had moved away. This saddened Dallas, but he still had his music. He would walk to and from school with his earbuds in his ears, during class, he had at least one earbud in at most times, and he didn’t really speak. It was around this time, however, that Dallas would start doing push-ups and pull-ups to not regress to his previous body state. His parents always told him that it was just a phase and that he will grow out of it. They said it was “Puberty” which he never believed. But, besides always listening to music and not talking, he was fairly smart, never falling below a 2.5, which he was proud of. But, like what happens to many boys close to his age, towards the end of the school year when he was close to 15, Dallas met a girl. Her name was Akina Inagawa, a rather short Japanese girl with brown hair, and brown eyes. Dallas fell head over heels for her. They met during class one day when Dallas walked into the classroom and saw her sitting next to all of her friends. He was entranced by her. He thought everything about her was perfect. Dallas did not believe in love at first sight, at least not before that moment. He approached her right then and there, not caring who saw him or what they might say. He asked her if she would want to grab lunch, and when she said yes, Dallas was overjoyed. They went to lunch and talked throughout the summer. But, 2 weeks after they started dating, Dallas got a call that she was dumping him for a jock. It broke Dallas, it pushed him even deeper into his state of listening to music. He now no longer likes to talk to anyone, he just spaced out. This was the time where his grades started to drop. He stopped attending classes, he stopped talking in general.

Dallas was 16 when his parents finally noticed that something was wrong. When he got home, he was greeted by his parents. They talked to him and told him that they understood that he was sad, but they motivated him to pick up his act. But, as luck would have it, Dallas’s parents wanted to move back to Ireland. Dallas begged them to stay, but they wouldn't budge. Dallas ran out of the house, feeling betrayed by his parents. Dallas sat at the top of the mountain for the first time and thought about how he could stay. After hours of thinking, he came to the conclusion that He would stay in Karakura, alone. He ran back to his house as fast as he could and when he arrived he explained his idea to his parents. "I don't want to go back to Ireland and become a mechanic just like everyone else in our family did!" He shouted. They were skeptical at first, but they eventually gave in. They would pay Dallas monthly to pay rent so he could live in an apartment. Dallas was sad to see his family go, but over time he adapted to live alone. This would change Dallas in a way that many people saw as sad, but Dallas rather enjoyed it. He liked the new him, a more responsible kid, with a lot more duties to keep up with.

Over the next 2 years, Dallas would focus on school as much as possible so he could get a great job and make a living in Karakura. He did not have time for gangs, or sports, or drama, he only had time for school. He wanted a good life, one that wouldn't be like working as a mechanic.

(I am not part of the Collins family that is on the server, I am doing my own thing. Please keep that in mind while reading the second prompt.)

Notes: Hello! Thank you for reading my application, I had a lot of fun writing it. I hope it is what you all were looking for, but if not I will surely try next time!
