Esteban 1981 | Shop Application
IGN:
The current IGN I will be applying with is Zorrie, however, the role on the account is a surgeon (which I resigned from a while ago) will need to be removed if accepted.

Previous Applications:
School-Related;
Art-Teacher -> Accepted
History-Teacher -> Accepted
Office-Manager -> Accepted
Lunchtime-Monitor -> Accepted
- Some of these applications may show that I am able to handle a step of responsibility. In my personal opinion, being a teacher is rather difficult, as you have to deal with the select few immature people within your classes. I think these positions improved me as a person and aided me in growing to be a better leader and a responsible person.

Government Worker;
Police-Officer (1) -> Accepted through Conversation
Police-Officer (2) -> Denied
Surgeon -> Accepted
Shop Application (1) -> Denied
Shop Application (2) -> Denied, Deleted (?)
Unsure of why the application was deleted, and I deleted the doc I had the rough draft of the application on because I had no idea why it would be removed off the site.
-
Through my experience through both EMS and Police, I believe that I have earned some sort of responsibility through working with these. To my shop applications and denied applications, I will not let them discourage me and I do believe that is an important quality to have through working with a shop. It’s difficult to stay motivated through everything, but I think staying positive is a good way to keep yourself on track.

Character Authorization;
French Language (1) -> Accepted
Swahili L
anguage (2) -> Accepted
Spanish Language (3) -> Accepted
Korean L
anguage (4) -> Accepted
Small-Cell Lung Cancer -> Accepted

Previous warns/kicks/bans:
I’m unsure of any of my previous warns/kicks besides AFK kicks and role kicks, but I am sure of three bans. I won’t defend myself for any of these, because they were almost all over a year ago and, to simply put it, I’ve changed;
1. Major OOC Toxicity
2. Metagame using OOC info IC
3. AvoidRP

Shop wanted:
I am applying for the shop known as Esteban 1981. Our shop, replacing Esteban 1981, will be called Kui-Daore.

Why do you want to own a shop?:
I, personally, as a lot of other shops seem to be doing, would like to bring traditional Japanese culture back into Japan. A lot of what’s being built and what is happening in Karakura does not seem to reflect Japanese culture, however, it may aid in bringing our town back to Japanese traditional themes. Opening a restaurant like this Kui-Daore will definitely open new opportunities for me to explore; such as opening leadership skills and positions to me, as well as helping me improve my organization skills.

This job will definitely open new opportunities by exposing me to new situations that I may have to deal with in-character, as well as the fact that I will have to train staff members under my watch. It will show me new ways to handle things both in-character and out-of-character. Restaurant work in real life is already very stressful; however, it may be different in roleplay situations, and it may not. Opening a shop will definitely show me new opportunities to improve my skill as a leader and it will for sure help me out with future jobs in real life.

I want to give this shop a new experience from other shops and stores, as well as helping improve the thought of shops. Most shops (as to the reason shop applications are open) do not open anymore, and many players complain about this. I think, being a new shop owner, I can open much more often. I believe that when I open, I can provide a new, happy experience to customers with staff members intimately speaking and interacting with customers.

What do you plan to do with the shop?:
Traditionally Japanese-Based;
As previously stated, I want this shop to be something new, something firmly based on Japanese traditional culture. Following on with that point, I plan for this shop to be opened as a “hibachi grill” or a “teppanyaki” restaurant. These words basically say that the customers’ meals will be directly grilled and cooked in front of them, by staff members. It would be more difficult for customers to cook their own food; therefore, we will be having staff members such as waiters and waitresses being known as cooks. Hosts will seat our customers and they’ll take their order. Their order will be passed on to the next chef, who will be then taking their place at the table, cooking meals for the customers in front of them on a grill.

However, this will not be the only thing I plan to have done with the shop. The restaurant, again, will have a much more Japanese theme to it. Hosts and open staff will bow to new customers as they enter, as that will be a more traditional and polite thing to do as customers generally enter traditional restaurants. This will also aid employees in becoming accustomed to a much more intense environment, as it will keep them on-task and it will keep them from getting extremely distracted by certain things within the restaurant that is not under their order.

Harassment-Free Zone;
I also want to turn my shop into a somewhat “harassment-free” zone. This means that none of my staff members, including myself, will be allowed to mistreat customers or yell at them. I do not want my customers to feel forced to be at my restaurant, nor do I want them to feel that they don’t want to return. Kui-Daore will be like a home away from home, somewhere where you’re meant to feel welcomed, not somewhere you’d never like to return to. Kui-Daore will be open to anyone, however, we will reserve the right to reserve service to anyone.

Monthly Events;
Finally, I plan to host monthly events. These events being things such as open-mic nights, cooking contests, and more! These events will prove to show how much our community will grow hopefully, and we will hold them regularly at first to welcome our customers more strongly and firmly! Having a good connection with the community will bring the community and the staff together, as well as, more importantly, the community in general together!

How will your shop be unique?:
As I’ve seen a lot of shops not necessarily holding “events” (although there have been a few occasional ones), my shop will be unique in, first of all, holding events like these! As stated previously, open mic nights and cooking contests are only a few of the certain events I may plan to hold. I may work on more staff-including events, such as dress-up days or certain wacky-type days, where we introduce exciting elements to my shop.

Second of all, there’s definitely been a lack of employee and customer interactions. With my shop, I plan to have employees show off skills with the customers, and allow them to attempt to improve relations with customers, as well as improving the way restaurants in Karakura are! Restaurants tend to be rather boring unless you’re with friends, so what I plan to do with my shop is to allow customers to grow close to our staff members, almost like a family bond. Not to mention, customers will be able to discuss with each other thoroughly as they eat! When in closer proximity, it’s more likely for you to be able to communicate with people. I’ve noticed most people in Karakura seem a bit lonely, so I hope my shop can bring more people together and improve more, growing friendships!

The last thing I'll make sure of is that there will be absolutely NO illegal activities in the store, and all employees hired must have a thorough background check to see if they have any incidents with assault, rude behavior, or a criminal record. This way, the atmosphere remains friendly and everyone feels welcome in the establishment. Violence will not be used unless necessary, where a person is restrained, and then the police are called. If anyone that works at the establishment is caught doing illegal activities, they will be fired immediately. This does not give employees the right to do illegal activities and not get caught. Reputation also comes into play of being accepted, as this is a strict establishment.

How many employees are you planning to have?:
4 Hosts/Hostesses (16+): Having four total will allow us to have up to three active at once. Hosts/Hostesses will seat customers and bow to them as they enter, a sign of respect. These hosts and hostesses will be offered 6500-7500 yen per shift, as they will not be paid directly by customers, also depending on how many people they seat.

6 Chefs/Waiters (18+): The reason behind having both of these under the same category is the fact that waiters, waitresses, and chefs all fall under the same category in this type of restaurant. Waiters and waitresses will need to be able to cook, as they will be serving and cooking the food in front of the customers themselves. There will need to be at least 3 of these on shift each opening.

2 Managers (18+): Managers will be making sure all is well within the restaurant, as well as keeping other lower-level staff members doing their job. Managers will also help keep track of stock, as well as helping out when there are not enough people in each other section to host. For example, managers can take over the jobs of hosts/hostesses as well as chefs and servers. Managers essentially are in charge of the store if the Owner is not available, and are extremely trusted. They have permission to do whatever they want, following the store's guidelines of course.

4 Security (16+):
Security will be in charge of making sure customers do not behave inappropriately towards staff members. Security is also in charge of generally protecting the safety of both staff and customers. Security is also going to be paid around 8500 yen per shift. One to two security members will be needed per opening. If no security is available and there is a low amount of security currently, applications for security will open and then the shop opening itself.

Discord: moonlight ☆#7040
I have four other alt accounts, all that have roles on them, but they don't need me to be active on them.

1. Zorrie2 -> Adult
2. Bocetto -> College Student (Only one I'm active on)
3. heheimalt -> Year 7
4. NotBaekkie -> Dog
The Japanese saying, "Kui-Daore", explains that you’re “eating yourself into bankruptcy”, which is a definite funny saying that is essentially the motto. The uniforms are currently a work in progress, as is the revamped Esteban 1981. The discord is also a work in progress, but it's almost complete.

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read my application and go over it.
