Trivia

What is your motivation for becoming a teacher?: I've wanted to be a teacher ever since I was young. I love the thought of helping people learn new things because of what I taught. May I add I do extra English after school as I enjoy to write and read. I've performed on stages which shows I know a lot about play writing and such. I've also been a teacher before and really enjoyed it, so I really want to do it again!

Do you have any experience in roleplaying?: I have played SchoolRP for a decent amount of time to understand most things about roleplaying. Also like I said before, I've been a teacher in the past so I know how to roleplay as one.

Have you read the faculty hand book?: I have read the faculty hand book over and over thoroughly so I understand it all!

What are the classroom logs and why are they important?: They keep check of when a class has started, who's teaching it, what the students have learnt and if everyone if actually teaching!

You want to start a school field trip; how do you do that?: I would first submit the applications (OOC and IC) provided. Then in character, I would ask the vice-principal and write down who would like to join the class.

As a teacher, what are the strict rules when being in a class?: Class rules would be:
1. No shouting out, raise your hand if you would like to speak.
2. No phones out in lesson, they're distracting and gives a disadvantage if you're researching the answers.
3. No food and drink, it is a health and safety hazard as it is not a food place. Eat in the cafeteria.
4. No running around, please stay in your seat unless told otherwise by a teacher or senior member of staff. It distracts the teacher, gets you in trouble and also deprives the students from the necessary learning.
5. Please do not be disrespectful. This includes inappropriate language, inappropriate hand actions, spiteful words towards anyone (staff or student) and so on and so forth..

Summarise your previous RP experiences (both in general and in SchoolRP): Here are the previous roleplaying experiences I have had:

1. Cashier at Kiyoura Cafe - This was my first ever job and showed me how to roleplay, it also showed me how to be a good worker, listen to others, be respectful and professional, etc...

2. QTLS Drama Teacher - This showed me how to teach, how to talk to children, how to be a role model for others and more!

3. Owning Happy Pills - I still currently own it, and every minute is a learning experience. I've learnt how to add people to doors, how to hire the perfect team, how to do deliveries, how to set pins, set prices, make prescriptions, etc...

4. Cashier at 11/7 - I still currently am a cashier for 11/7. This has shown me how to work in a team, how to deal with large crowds, how to take hate and not respond in a mutual way, etc...

5. Police Officer - Being a Police Officer has shown me so many things. How to arrest people, how to get out of sticky situations, how to enforce the law, how to fill out spreadsheets, etc...

I would elaborate in more detail if it said "explain" the previous RP experiences instead of "summarise" the experiences. I also have had plenty more experiences, these are just the main ones.

Describe the ranking system of teachers:

1. HD: You are one of the leaders for the learning curriculum, you make sure that the lessons are planned and all the information is correct. You are in-charge of the specified subject and the teacher's who teach it. HD stands for Head meaning it is the highest rank for a certain subject.

2. QTLS: You're a professional teacher now, you can have classes more freely. QTLS stands for Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills. It basically shows you know what you're doing, and you do it well. It is the second highest teaching rank.

3. NQT: You're new, you just got the job / you're a trainee / you recently got the job. You can now teach lessons but must go over everything with senior teachers. (HD). It shows you are good enough to be a teacher, but you're new and might make mistakes once in a while. NQT stands for Newly Qualified Teacher.

Teacher knowledge

Present to us your knowledge about Teachers in-game and out-of-game, what purpose do teachers serve. What salary do they get? Include a paragraph about the way teachers teach, what they do in their spare time in general.

In-game: The teacher's biggest purpose is to teach. They're meant to hand out the information needed from their brains (or text book) to the students. They're meant to do as much as they can with the power they've got. For example, extra revision lessons during lunch or after school, interventions before school, literally anything which will benefit the students. A teachers purpose is to help with the pupil's exams. Make them know everything in preparation. Homework for example, teachers set it so that when you walk out the classroom door at the end of the day - you don't just throw all that information you gathered out the window. Instead you study it at home and complete the work set and maybe revise it from time to time. Another purpose that the Teacher's have is to abolish bullying in anyway they can. If a teacher sees bullying, they will (in a professional way) stop it as soon as they can and talk to the students involved to see why it started and how to stop it. It says in the teachers union that a teachers salary on average in Taketatsu Academy is 250000 Yen/Year.

In the teachers spare time, I normally see them at the gas station. I don't know why they're there or what they're doing. However, they're normally all together meaning that they could be discussing work matters or just having a chit chat.

Out - of - game: Once again, the teacher's biggest purpose is to teach. Similar to in-game, a teacher is meant to explain information and let the student minds absorb it. They're meant to do this in a way which will help students remember the information, and that can be the tricky part. Teachers don't just teach though, they can first aid. In a real life emergency, a teacher can put their basic first aid knowledge to use until paramedics get to the school. Not only can they first aid but they're also very the****utic. They know what to say to a child if they're having trouble at home or on the internet and they have the basic resources to call in-case they need some professional help. The average salary for a high school teacher is £28,951, which is 37000.68 dollars.

I'm not really sure what teacher's do in their spare time, I'm pretty sure they just lead a normal adult's life. Go to see friends, go out to a festival or club every once in a while, go for a coffee and chit chat. That sort of thing.

Why are teachers important to the SchoolRP server?: Teachers are important to the SchoolRP server as without teachers, you can't really have a school roleplaying server. Teachers are one of the main roles through-out the server, you need them to roleplay with and you need them to actually take care of Karakura High school.

What lesson planning system does the school work on?: The school lesson planning system is MoSCo. Must have, Should have, Could have.

Character Knowledge

Tell us everything you know about the character you will be playing in a few paragraphs. How does she look like? What makes her unique and different? What is her outlook on Students? What about the other teachers? What is his personality like? What is her plan for the future?: My characters name is Miho Otome. She is currently 33 years of age. She stands at 5'6" and is 280lbs. She would constantly have a resting bitch face. She has light grey eyes and pale skin. She is angry most the time, no one knows why. She has light brown hair and dresses in an appropriate fashion. By this I mean a white shirt, black pencil skirt, heels and brushed hair. She cares a lot about he outlook appearance.

She is quite different to others as she doesn't teach in the same fun way others do. She doesn't make it easy for the students like teachers should. Instead, she makes them write and write and write. Then, she would make them revise it all at home! She does this as she believes school isn't for having fun, it's for learning and working hard.

She plans on working her way up to the top. By this I mean from NQT to QTLS. Then, from QTLS to HD. Possibly higher if she works hard enough, and makes sure she is worthy and trusted. She plans on making her opinion on teaching matter. How we should be more strict with the behavioural system, that school meals should strictly be vegetables and a little protein, that field trips should cost extra, etc....

Scenarios:

You find a gang of delinquents in the hallway cursing and swearing, what do you do?: Firstly, she would walk up to them with her usual cross face and ask them what they were cursing for and that it wasn't "cool" and you shouldn't do it. If they carry on she would give them a detention - and if they do it a third time she would take them to the vice-principal and phone their parents. She does not tolerate bad behaviour.

No-one in your class is listening to a word you say, what do you do?: My character would smack her hands on the table, making a very loud noise. This would hopefully make everyone quiet and focus on her. However, if that doesn't work she would start writing names on the chalk board and beside it write the word "detention" and wait until they notice.

When in the teachers lounge, how does your character act?: She would walk over to her seat in heels, so everyone hears her walking. She would then slowly pull the seat back and sit in it so that she would be centre of attention. After all the technical details were discussed, she would immediately voice her opinion across the table in every direction. She would talk about assemblies, behaviour, lesson planning, bad students, etc..

Provide at least 5 detailed ./me's of your character inside a classroom:

1. /me does roll call and calls out every name in an orderly fashion
2. /me goes into her drawers and gets out a stack of books to hand out
3. /me does paper work whilst the class work in silence
4. /me writes her name on the chalkboard
5. /me reads the students work and passes it back with a grade

Backstory

Miho Otome was raised in Karakura, she once went to Karakura High when she was a kid. However, she remembers it a little different. She knew her way around town very well and knew the people as well. Well, not all of them. But, a lot of them. She was a woman of no interest, she followed the law, got a temporary job, looked after her younger sisters.. She lived a normal life. She has always wanted to be an English teacher ever since she was little. She was very good at it, and did extra study at school and at home. She wrote stories if she ever had any spare time. That was unlikely however - she was always busy.

When she hit 20 years old, she had her first drink. She spat it out and yelled "DISGUSTING!" and everyone looked at her. She strongly hated alcohol from that point. She was very strict about her siblings having it. She then noticed how children were getting more and more into gang violence and wrong doings. This is how Miho became her strict self. She despised gang violence, and took out her anger threw being strict and bitchy towards most people in her life. She hated how gang violence got bigger and bigger as time went on.

Because of this, she decided to go to college and get a teaching degree, a degree in English Language and a degree in English Literature. She did this so that she can teach students about the dangers of gang violence. Her family, being Japanese, was Buddhist. However, she was not. Because of the fact she grew up in a Buddhist environment, she learnt a few life skills that she wished to keep. Things like peace, growth of the mind, meditation and more. She wished to pass the knowledge of peace to students, instead of gang violence.
