how do you rp the time passing?

How do you go about roleplaying the time passing with your character when an entire year goes by in a blink, and then later an entire day or two goes by irl but its been two years in game for you?
Then three years.. and so on.
I mean then again if you are on less than 4 hours a day this will take an entire week or two to happen but I don't know.
My character will be grade 11 in under two hours irl from the time of this post,
I started under a week irl ago and I am already nearly a twelth grader in game.

I was wondering if anyone has ideas for how they roleplay and account for this massive time leap..

I did not vote because I choose both.

If you’re a professional roleplayer or just simply good at it and knows how things work, indeed the manual rank up would be handy.

But let’s say a kid who just thinks “Roleplay? Sounds delicious to me, let me try” and joined the server, saw this feature and abuse it and go “I’m a 12th grader, you are not, f*** off.” This feature can be easily abused.

I believe that you are a true roleplayer or you won’t be thinking this far. This feature would be great, but can be easily abused. Not just for toxic kids, everyone can abuse it. Just maybe not as annoying as the kids.
