In-game, I can spend up to 2-6 hours online a day which I tend to spread out between alternate accounts depending on the need for the character. On weekends I tend to spend 4+ hours on SchoolRP. Periodically I check the forums to see any updates on what is going on within our community.

What is your motivation for becoming a teacher?:
My current motivation for becoming a teacher on SchoolRP regards my own intentions outside of the server. One day, I hope to become a teacher myself in a similar field, if not, the same field that I am applying for. Having this experience simply can give me a brief overview as to how things should run in regards to the preparation needed to do this job and what it takes.

What also motivated me to apply for this position was the idea as roleplaying as a different role from what I am used to. Usually, on my other two accounts, I am both a News-Reporter and a student. By having the teacher rank, I would like to greatly expand my knowledge of roleplay on the server by delving into something new, having fun in the process.

Do you have any experience in Roleplaying?:
I have had a lot of experience in roleplaying, whether that being on or off SchoolRP. This has been over the course of multiple years, making me experienced enough.

Have you read the Faculty Handbook?:
Although the Faculty Handbook has been removed, I have read all possible threads regarding teachers and understand them thoroughly.

What are the classroom logs and why is it important?:
The classroom logs belong in the Karakura Academics discord, where teachers log their classes that they have to do per month in order to get paid. Here, the teacher is meant to fill out a format of their IGN, classroom number, the number of classes taught and the date. There also has to be a screenshot provided to give evidence. This is for the Vice-Principal to check how active the teaching staff are, and accurately say how much they should get paid for that IRL month.

You want to start a school field trip; how do you do that?:
I would contact the Head of Department (HD) of the subject and any available Vice-Principal or Principal. I would include a detailed plan of what the event will include as well as any assisting Karakura High faculty members that have agreed to help out.

As a teacher, what are the strict rules when being in a class?
COMPUTING RULES
• Drinking, eating or chewing of any kind is strictly prohibited.
• Always keep a clean workspace
• Don’t touch the computers unless allowed by the teacher.
GENERAL CLASSROOM RULES
• Respect; disrespect of another student’s: ability to learn; appearance; or general disrespect toward faculty and students, won’t be tolerated.
• Absolutely no Alcohol or Weapons of any kind.
• Don’t speak out of turn, simply raise your hand.
• No phones; if you’re caught with one out you’ll have it confiscated or asked to leave.
• Assignments must be handed by the due date.
• Use of profanity is unacceptable; especially towards others in the classroom - I can understand if you stub your toe, but swearing at each other is strictly prohibited.
• Use common sense.

Summarize your previous RP experience (both in general and on SchoolRP):
When I was younger, I used to roleplay a fair amount on another server; western; magic; school; and whatever we came up with on the spot, it included us fully building a map as well as roleplaying as completely original characters. As of right now, I roleplay mainly on SchoolRP where for the most part I play a high school student or a news reporter.

Describe the ranking system of teachers:

- HD:
HD stands for Head of Department and includes the basic leadership skills to effectively stay in-charge of their subject by setting a curriculum and instigating any school trips. This rank is the highest in the teacher roles and is earned over time — It’s not possible to jump directly to Head of Department.
- QTLS:
QTLs stands for Qualified Teacher and Learning Skills which is earned once a teacher shows competency and experience as a teacher, which could include: Ability to plan a lesson effectively; Showing responsibility toward faculty and students; or being an outstanding teacher.
- NQT:
NQT stands for Newly Qualified Teacher; In no way is this a bad rank to have amongst teachers, this just shows that there is room to grow and the teacher is yet to prove themselves to obtain the rank of ‘QTLS’.

Teacher Knowledge

Present to us your knowledge about Teachers in-game and out-of-game, what purpose do teachers serve. What salary do they get? Include a paragraph about the way teachers teach, what they do in their spare time in general.
Teachers present students with the knowledge to progress in their lives, developing their insight and letting the adolescents flourish into the next generation. This role holds the utmost importance in order for students to be well-educated; After all, it is their job to “teach”, gaining the name “teachers”. Although teachers are there to supply much needed knowledge so that an individual can go off into the world and jump into a career, they are also there as an emotional support system. If a student is to feel unsafe or concerned within the school, then being a member of faculty gives the teachers the power to do something about it. Teachers are supposed to be role models.

On the server, without any bonuses, the current amount a teacher can earn minimum is 150K. Of course, a teacher can earn more if they do over the minimum amount of classes set, or overtime (Head of Department also earn more). Teachers also have their own way in which they think benefits the way a student attains knowledge, however they all are meant to simply give out the knowledge and then test the students on what they have learnt. Outside of the classroom, a teacher should mark students’ work and plan upcoming lessons in order to stay organised.

Why are teachers important to a SchoolRP server?:
Teachers are of course important to SchoolRP, as the name suggests it’s a school roleplay and what’s a school without faculty to ensure the safety and well-being of the students? Teachers play a larger role in educating the students of Karakura High; exactly the same as real life, teachers prepare young adults for the future whether it be college or moving onto a work placement. SchoolRP would not be a ‘SchoolRP’ without teaching staff — The whole hierarchy would crumble without them being the support.

What lesson planning system does the school work on?:
MoSCo; Must have, should have, could have. This is the current lesson planning system that the Karakura High enforces.

Character Knowledge

Tell us everything you know about the character you will be playing in a few paragraphs. How does he look like? What makes him unique and different? What is his outlook on Students? What about the other teachers? What is his personality like? What is his plan for the future?
Lee Thompson; aged 29, currently living in Karakura, Japan. Lee stands at 6’0” tall with bright blue eyes that would adorn his grey to black gradient in curly hair. Lee would be mostly seen wearing a suit and aviator glasses, the scent of rich Coffee would follow him lingering like a bad aftertaste.

Lee has an energetic and positive energy to teaching, he loves what he does and believes his job is both rewarding for him and his students. Lee also believes that students should be given the same respect as a young adult would have, however, he’s not afraid to assert his classroom superiority where it’s needed. He’d be a team player that believes that ‘Teamwork makes the dream work’.

He plans to settle down in Karakura after his long-awaited escape to the city in attempts to get over his ex-wife’s old habits and strict house rules he was expected to follow in a spontaneous move to break his by the book lifestyle.

Scenarios

You find a gang of delinquents in the hallway cursing and swearing, what do you do?:
Mr. Thompson would first attempt to get a grasp of the situation before making any bias decisions, giving each member the opportunity to explain the situation, however, if it’s clear there’s one culprit, Lee would merely give them a verbal warning followed by a detention if they fail to abide by the school rules.

No one in your class is listening to a word you say, what do you do?:
Firstly, Lee would attempt to get the classroom’s attention by clapping, followed by two bangs on the table and a loud, but stern raise of voice. If the students fail to listen to him, Lee would simply begin to remove the troublemakers one by one from the classroom until the students can fully pay attention to the teacher.

When in the teacher's lounge, how does your character act?:
Being an enthusiast of coffee, Lee would most likely be caught sipping on a hot drink whilst grading papers. If another faculty member is occupying the teacher’s lounge, — as previously mentioned — Lee believes heavily in teamwork and has the utmost respect for his collages; perhaps he’d make small talk about one another's day.

/me He would get up letting out a brief sigh; clapping to get the class' attention.

Backstory
Lee Thompson was born in Southampton, England in 1990. Being the middle child, he was neglected most of his life; Lee’s father, Richard, only really cared about his eldest son’s grades and future in science. Lee first took an interest in the sciences at the young age of eight in a sad attempt to impress his father, Richard Thompson, who was heavily interested in Biology and even taught it in the local Secondary School.

During Lee’s teens, he decided that he wanted to take a separate path from his disappointed father and superior sibling by choosing ICT over Science out of spite for his disinterest in Lee’s upbringing and Lee’s newfound interest in modern technology. He was fascinated by the endless possibilities and the future of modern technology.

After passing all of his exams, Lee would meet who he thought was the love of his life before moving to Karakura, Japan where he currently resides. Lee met his ex-wife — Sheila — at University, they both had great expectations for one another. Both infatuated with each other, the couple had a crazy obsession with Computer Science and both planned a future together in which they would both be successful working in the field they loved so much. Their love slowly dying, Lee decided he did not want the same things as Sheila, Lee wanted to teach others the importance and uses of information and communication technologies.

Sheila and Lee’s love soon died out as Lee decided to focus more on work than his wife, — they married at the young age of just twenty-three — day in day out of them ignoring each other. After another painful year of silence, they got a divorce. Lee had decided enough was enough and began to pack his bags for his spontaneous move to Karakura, Japan.
