Recently, problems have been arising in regards to how roleplay comes along on SchoolRP. Below are some (fairly blunt) concerns that have been discussed with other staff members these past few days:

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    FAILURE TO FEARRP:
Failure to FearRP (sometimes classified as FailRP) is failing to act fearful or obeying in a situation where someone who has authority or power over you is asking you to do something/is simply present in a location. This mostly revolves around police officers, school employees, and teachers. Things that are failure to FearRP are: cussing in front of teachers/employees, flirting with or sexually harassing teachers/employees, being an overall disturbance in classrooms, not obeying demands of an officer/teacher/employee (demands being: "Be quiet!" or "Stay where you're seated!"), continuously breaking rules after already facing punishment, wanting to be suspended/expelled/punT5hed in any way, failing to show respect to authority when on school campus or in the presence of a police officer, and many more problems that can easily be figured out by associating your action with common sense (ask yourself before doing an action: "Is this failure to FearRP? Am I fairly roleplaying and acting like a student?")

    REALISTICALLY ROLEPLAYING:

A 13 year old cannot wield a weapon that is the size of them. A high schooler cannot commit mass murder flawlessly in a public area without potentially being apprehended. Please realistically roleplay and consider the consequences you may face ICly and do not ignore them just because this is a game or “it’s my character’s personality!” Realistic roleplay and other points mentioned in this announcement are all a part of fairly roleplaying and keeping the situation fair on both parties (ask yourself before doing an action: “Is this something a person with my character’s physical ability/age would do? Is this something that can be easily done without mental/physical harm?”).

FAILURE TO STRUCTURE SENTENCES/DETAIL YOUR ROLEPLAY:
You’re here to roleplay and to have fun! Part of playing a game is to follow its rules, and it is now necessary that you must GENUINELY roleplay rather than just doing something you know would make your friends laugh. There has been several occasions where players are made fun of for actually seriously roleplaying, and this is something that can qualify as OOC TOXICITY. You are to make your /me’s actual sentences and not literal jokes (for example, stop doing something like /me looks at description---crazy, I know, but I’ve seen it from someone who KNOWS how to roleplay well. It’s only something that made their friends laugh), even if it is something small like “/me would smile.” The more detail you put into your character and what they do, the better your experience will be on SchoolRP. Also, you are NOT to spam words in IC chat if you can easily structure a sentence in just one message. A timer to IC chat may be added if players continue to fail to structure sentences and to detail their roleplay (ask yourself: “Should I be putting this many messages in IC chat? Am I detailing my actions enough to the point that the other party can easily understand what I am doing? Am I just copying and pasting the same action/chat over and over?”)

    P2L ROLEPLAY:
While this is not to become a necessity, it is something that all roleplays on Minecraft, Discord, and other games have seen for ages. P2L roleplay usually takes place during fights, and is a way to not use the rolling systems. It stands for “Play 2 Lose.” Although P2L requires negotiating sometimes, many skilled roleplayers can P2L in a battle without a second thought and keep the battle fair. The act of P2L is to negotiate or to fairly roleplay actions during a fight instead of using /roll, as /roll could result in some unrealistic turnouts of actions.

    [AN EXAMPLE OF P2L:]

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

By this point, you are agreeing that staff have the right to question how you are roleplaying if you are not acting similar to the examples or like the examples. I understand that some people may not have the best word choice or grammar ability to structure sentences to that ability, but it does not hurt to try your best.

[MOST THINGS LISTED HERE ARE THINGS THAT WILL NOW BE PUNISHABLE IF YOU ARE TO NOT COMPLY WITH, FOR EXAMPLE FAILURE TO FEARRP, ETC.]
