iSpriint

Level 2
In Game Name :
My in game name is iSpriint

School Employee Role you are Applying For :
I am applying to be a Teaching Assistant.

How often do you log onto the server? :
I usually log onto the SchoolRP server only when I am able to, and my average play time is about 2 to 4 hours a day. I am also currently having my summer vacation, therefore I will be able to have sustained amounts of activity.

Do you have discord?
Yes. I have discord and my discord is iSpriint#9863

Do you have a microphone?
Yes. I have a microphone and I go to into calls quite frequently.

Have you ever been banned, If yes when and why? :
I have never been banned on the SchoolRP server and I hope to keep it like that.

Can you ensure that you will often come on :
Yes. I can ensure that because I play on the SchoolRP server every day and I enjoy it most of the time I am on so rest assured that I will be frequently online.

Do you recognise that you can be ICly fired? :
Yes. I do recognise that I can be ICly fired because I believe that, for example, if I am inactive, someone else who plays more often may take over my position. Same goes for incompetence where I fail to meet what is expected from me.

In as much detail as possible, describe the role of your chosen school employee :
A Teaching Assistant is someone who helps out a teacher with instructional responsibilities. In real life, the role can be extended for both students and adults alike who assist the teacher in teaching the class. In SchoolRP, they are always adults.

In high school, the tasks given to a Teaching Assistant is generally determined by the supervising teacher. Common tasks delegated to Teaching Assistants include assisting students with their work and taking attendance. Most of the responsibilities of Teaching Assistants do not require the academic expertise of the teacher in charge, as for example there is little academic requirement to be able to take attendance. On limited occasions, Teaching Assistants with academic knowledge of the subject at hand may teach portions of the class lessons, or teach lessons to small groups of students who need extra instruction. In the framework of SchoolRP, this scenario will be extremely uncommon as most of the teaching would be exclusively done by the teacher.

Teaching Assistants generally work on a "one-on-one" basis with students who need special care. They appear to be very similar to School Mentors, but Teaching Assistants play a sharper and more specific role as they would most likely operate during an active class. One key takeaway when it comes to Teaching Assistants is that, in both irl and in SchoolRP, they can patch up any shortcomings that the current teacher in class has. For example, if the teacher has struggles in keeping the class quiet, the Teaching Assistant can step in and 'double-up' with the teacher on the students to ensure that they are behaving well.

Do you have any past experience in this type of roleplay? :
Yes, if 'this type of roleplay' refers to a school roleplay. I have played in the SchoolRP server since 2016, so I have experience in 'this type of roleplay'. However, if 'this type of roleplay' refers to roleplaying as a Teaching Assistant, no, as I have not been one before.

What experience, in general, do you have in roleplay? :
My entire experience in roleplay has been around SchoolRP, therefore I have experience in roleplay since I have played since 2016 and I learned a lot about roleplay and within the years I have gained experience in roleplaying, especially when it comes to roleplaying in a school. Also as due to playing in SchoolRP, I have also a good bit of experience when it comes to roleplaying under a family, as families play a significant part in SchoolRP's lore. I also have experience in working in shops in SchoolRP. I have worked in three shops in my entire history in SchoolRP, one being a bartender in the "Owashi" bar, a cashier in the 'Sayonara Giftshop' and recently as a chef in the restaurant "The Golden Fork". I still work in the "Owashi" bar and in "The Golden Fork".

Are you familiar with what your job does? If so, describe it :
No, I am not familiar with my job, as I have never been one, as mentioned in the previous question.

[Situations]
During a workshift a student starts cursing at you for being pathetic, how do you react? :

It is very important in such a moment to remain professional. Whether one may get offended or not, keeping professionalism is of utmost importance for this matter. Personally, I will not be offended, because it is his/her's own personal opinion that I am pathetic.

Anyhow, I will tell the student that he/she needs to stop talking in such a manner, because it ruins the peaceful environment of the school. Subsequently, I would tell the student if he/she has any grievances with me or has spotted any shortcomings on my part that caused the student to call me 'pathetic', he/she may talk to me civilly on regards to the matter. This itself would allow me to spot any shortcomings on part and anything I have done to wrong that particular student. Finally, I will tell the student to avoid talking like that again because it is nothing more than a mere reflection of who he/she is, that respect for him/her would diminish in the near future and could hurt their relationships if they were known to possess such an altitude.

Overall, I will hope that the student would change his/her's altitude.

You are doing a hazadrous job requested by the School Principal, how do you react? :
Now, it may be very concerning that it is hazardous and hence my life would be put at risk. However, in Japan, respect is of utmost importance, hence I am more than willing to obey and complete the given task.

I will begin by saying : "Alright, I will do the job and I will try to do my best". While it may be dangerous, chances are, it would also be vital to the functioning of the school, hence I will do my best to help the school, the principal and everyone else. After so, I will try to find any way to make that task less dangerous, such as asking former/current employees who have done the task at hand before and see how did they do it. After that, I will inform the principal that it was my pleasure to assist the principal and the school out.

Another school employee is doing something very dangerous on the job or acting out of order, how do you react? :
I would first off immediately ask what exactly are they doing to know what is their task at hand. After being told, I will try to think of any methods that can be used to make it less dangerous. If I deem it possible, I will try to help out on the task, assuming that I am free. I will priortize the safety of both of us, so that neither of us will be harmed. After finishing off the task, if the task is ridiculously dangerous, then I may ask the principal on his thoughts about that particular task and possibly suggest improvements if possible.

[IC section]
Applicant Name :

Zack Gray

Chosen Job :
Teaching-Assistant

Motivation for Joining YHS :
When I was a kid, I enjoyed helping my friends with their homework when they were stuck. I usually helped them during class breaks or even in class when it was possible. Gradually, my altitude towards helping others in trying to help them understand the subject came to the attention of one of my teachers, who was a head teacher during the time. I was put into the position of a class prefect. I helped out my teacher whether it was possible, should it be distributing out homework, should it be keeping the class in check during the teacher’s absence, whatever it may be, I did it well and I plan to continue doing it well.

Therefore, being older and far more mature along with retaining the experience of helping teachers, I believe that I am very suitable to become a Teaching Assistant for the high school of Karakura.

Age :
22

Why should you be accepted over the other applicants? :
I personally do not want to say that I should be accepted over the others, but I will say noteworthy things about my applications so that they can be considered.

The first reason is that, during the time I wrote this application, there are no other applicants applying for the position which I am applying for, which is, to be a Teaching Assistant. Basically, it means I have no competition and therefore, a victory by default. However, it assumes that my application itself has enough merit to be accepted, which will be my next explanation point. The second reason is that, as I have mentioned, is that I believe my application has been written in a very proper way. I believe I have answered all the questions well enough for it to have the merit of being good. The third reason is that, even though I have no experience in being a Teaching Assistant, I believe that I should be given this chance to start and build my character further, being able to gain proper experience in being a Teaching Assistant.

I hope my application will be well considered.

An additional note [OOC]:
Yesterday, I have applied for School-Mentor (which was already taken) because I was not aware that the school employee roster that I was looking at was outdated (the one that appears in #global-employee-roster in the SchoolRP Discord). Now that I’ve found the current up-to-date one, I have reapplied accordingly as a Teaching Assistant.
