What is your motivation for applying?:
The EMS and other emergency services are a vital part of Karakura, to be able to apply for such a role and be accepted would be lovely; having lost people in the past, I wish to be able to care for those who are ill or injured. Karakura is a lovely city, I want to protect those who I know and be able to say I’ve taken care of the city. I’ve previously served in the KPD, after being let off I decided my motivation to help the city still burns strong, so I am hoping to gain the opportunity to save the lives of people and gain the experience of the wonderful job.
Other than saving and protecting people, as stated before it would give me the skills so if I would be out with family I could save them. The city and its people means a lot to me.

What do you know about medical practice?:
What I understand about medical care is first that you need to keep skills up to date and be able to focus on the patient at hand, you should have the skills to make an injured patient feel safe and protected under your care, keeping knowledge up to date is important as giving false information to a patient may lead to paranoia, anxiety or even death in extreme cases. I understand the basic medical care of halting bleeding, use of adrenaline when heart rate is slow and CPR. Along with medical knowledge and my openness to do research, I understand conduct of staying healthy and preparing for the worst just in case a patient’s health does begin to deteriorate.
I will make sure to train and do more research whenever possible in the future.

What are the basic color codes in a medical emergency and hospital?:
Code Orange: Hazardous materials spill/accident.
Code Brown: Weather incident.
Code White: Evacuation should commence.
Code Pink: Missing/abducted infant/child.
Code Silver: Weapon incident, a hostage situation.
Code Black: Bomb threat.
Code Green: Emergency evacuation should commence.
Code Violet: Violent patient/individual.
Code Red: Fire in the building.
Code Yellow: Natural disaster nearby.
Code Blue: Medical emergency.

Do you acknowledge that if you are inactive you will be demoted?:
Yes. Of course.

Are you aware each position has a minimum age limit?
Yes, I'm aware that there is a minimum age limit for each employee.

CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE
╚═══════════════════╝

How is your character during and off the job?
On the job Jay is kind and compassionate and able to keep his mind focused, he focuses on maintaining good bedside matter and guiding patients in a calm and soothing way. He tends to keep himself very serious on the job so he can focus well on the matters. He gained his seriousness from his time in the force and believes it will support his work on the medical team, he trusts his co-workers and always gives them updates when necessary; maintaining good teamwork skills and the ability to speak clearly and in an organised way when under pressure.

Off the job Jay likes to work out and keep himself healthy and fit, Jay is still quite kind and reserved and will not often act out of line. He is very friendly and sociable when off shift and loves to interact and get to know people to make spaces a more positive space to socialise and be around, he enjoys being around people and supporting them; he still always looks out for people who may be in need even when off shift.

What do they look like?
Jay Lycan would stand at a firm 6'4 weighing roughly 100kgs. He has a strong, quite muscular build and usually wears more formal clothes; including a usual white button up shirt with a black jacket and blue tie. Jay wears black jeans and white trainers. Jay has short black/blue hair and ocean blue eyes. Despite his tall and quite muscular figure he looks very friendly and approachable.

Do they have any mental or physical illnesses?
ADHD and Asthma
What makes your character unique?
One thing that makes Jay unique is his background, he was previously working for the KPD before he decided to join the EMS team as a nurse and has had experience working alongside the EMS from that part of his life, he has had experience handling illegal medicines and viewing and obtaining information from prescriptions and patients; this gives him his experience also in his use of the radio, knowing codes and how to properly make the radio function.

Another thing that makes Jay unique is his past once more, though in a different manner. Jay has explored the world as his parents were very big on exploring; Jay has handled different climates and situations and dealt with many different people of different cultures and ability. This knowledge contributes to Jay's ability to be able to help people and will especially help dealing with patients.

Lastly, Jay has been called multiple times throughout his adventures to help [successfully] with people who have had medical emergencies with no one else around to help- this adds to the idea of Jay being a reliable choice.

BACKSTORY:
Jay came from Australia with a fairly average life; moving through school, travelling the world- ah wait. Jay traveled a lot with his parents, they loved taking him places and letting him explore the world with a new location every year. The little boy with ADHD [and a case of asthma] absolutely loved it. He saw multiple different countries and studied their cultures and backgrounds, stepping foot first hand in historic monuments and exploring new and interesting climates for himself, a way to let off the stress of his school life where he was picked on. Jay had big dreams, experiencing life in Japan at age 14 he believed he could achieve something; a Japanese investigator who would protect the entirety of Japan. Well, he’s part of the way there. Jay trudged his way through school, getting quite average grades until he realised his unique interest in policing and brought back his old dream of investigator; this led to him joining a policing academy and studying multiple degrees in the arts of investigating and policing. He was encouraged to also pick up multiple medical courses and degrees, so he would also follow that though as a backup. Jay eventually would move to Karakura, Japan where he’d worked as a front-desk worker in the Karakura high school for a few months until being picked up into the KPD [Karakura police department] and from there, he’d be training - hoping to reach that big childhood dream he once had. Jay was let off from the KPD, he decided to put his experience in the medical field from his brief time in the KPD and his previous medical practice from Australia to use and apply for the position of nurse.
