Backstory
(prepare yourself, over 3,000 words)

Miss Juliette Bloom entered the world on March 3rd, 1995. She was born in Miami, Florida- right after her parents moved to America from England. She was their first and only child, and had a pretty simple childhood. She attended school in the same town she was born, and continued on until she was graduating high school. She always had a good amount of friends and did everything she could to get her grade the best it could be. She learned to try the hardest in everything she does, and she keeps that with her to this day. However, by senior year, she was faced with some pretty big problems. One of her closest friends, Hazel, had left her. She had left the world due to a few mean girls who didn't know when to stop. Juliette had known her pretty much her whole life, as they were childhood friends. This pulled her heart down to her stomach, and she was left torn for years. She didn't want to accept it, but she finally had learned to let it go. Juliette had never forgiven the girls who drove her best friend to suicide, and she still hasn't. This has made her hate disrespect and bullies even more, and that's still sticking by her- and always will. This wasn't the only bad thing she's faced in life, though. It seemed as though things kept coming at her, faster than she could learn to cope with. This was the start of her crippling depression, what she refers to as a black hole of emotion. Whenever she became happy, it seemed as though things would just drag her back down. She didn't know how to deal with these things the slightest bit until she was nearly a full adult, because she had such an easy childhood. About a year after she had lost Hazel, she lost one of her other best friends, this time being family. She lost her grandmother, Magnolia, due to a heart attack when she was at age 81. Nobody was expecting it, and just as Juliette thought she was recovering the slightest bit, this left her worse than she was before. Once again, it was a piece of the puzzle in her endless emotion. She remembered doing everything with her grandmother. From cooking, to playing, to traveling and going on adventures... they did it all. She almost moved into her grandmother's house multiple times, for two reasons. She had never met her grandfather and wanted to keep Magnolia company. The other one, being more important, her parents just couldn't take care of her. Since she was doing so well in school, they figured they could leave her home most of the day- while they were out working. They worked most of the day, only coming back to sleep. When they were working, however, Juliette would try calling but usually got no answer. When she finally got a bike, she would ride to her grandmother's house everyday- sometimes without her parents even knowing. She felt safe there, it was her happy place. After her death, the house Juliette called safe was torn down. they were making room for something else, more "innovative". Juliette fought with the government to keep the house up, but failed miserably. The only thing they gave her were photos in the mail, of the house. She kept these photos safe, she didn't want a thing to happen to them. She thought life couldn't get any worse. She lost both her best friends in life, and her parents were slowly drifting away, as they found new jobs and were considering moving and leaving. Juliette all on her own, as she was now a legal adult. It never crossed Juliette's mind that this would happen, until she woke up to a note bed the next morning. "Dearest Juliette, We love you. We will always be here for you. We found new jobs in Chicago and will be back soon. As you are reading this, we will most likely be on the train. Don't try and call yet, there will be no signal. just remember we will always be there, as we have been all along. xoxo mother & father" There were lipstick stains at the bottom page, in the shape of lips. Initially, she chuckled at the thought of her father putting lipstick on. Then, it sunk it. She realized she was all alone, without any warning. Her life flashed in front of her, and she was considering a lot of things, suicide being one of them. She grabbed all the pills she could, running to the bathroom. As she was running, there was a divot in the floor, from something like a heavy suitcase as her parents were walking out of the door. This made her trip, and land chin down on the hard wooden floors. She screamed bloody murder, as the pain was so sharp and sudden. thankfully, her neighbor called the police and an ambulance arrived right away, walking into Juliette on the ground in horrible pain. She was brought to the hospital, receiving the help she needed- and ending up with a faint scar on her chin, where they had placed the stitches. She had begun therapy appointments, and her depression was slowly getting better. She ended up going nearly bankrupt, all the bills were adding up. the house, the medical bills, the therapy sessions... she just decided to leave. She got in her tiny car with all her things, and left. She didn't really know where she was going, but she knew she was going somewhere. She had brought some money her parents had left behind and was going to the airport after she heard an ad on the radio for ticket sales. Still, with no clue where she was going, she hopped onto the freeway and drove a million miles a second. She wanted to be away, to be able to be herself. She had brought all her essentials; food, clothes, money, pictures, and most importantly- her diploma. She was ready, and had ~hopefully~ made up her mind. She was going to Japan to attend schooling. She was going to get her degree, and try and land a job. She would try and support herself from now on, and not to worry so much about her emotions and them taking over. She would just be herself, and surround herself with people, like Hazel, that care for her. She began having flashbacks of playing with Hazel in her grandmother's house. She began to get so emotional, she had a mental breakdown- while driving. She was still on a freeway, going at least 80 miles an hour. She was distracting herself from driving so much, she began to swerve around, more and more. It was just about morning rush hour, and it wasn't helping the situation. She slowly began drifting off the road, towards the metal barriers. Just when all the bad things began stopping, they came back. She ended up drifting over into another lane and being pushed into the barriers, causing her car to spin uncontrollably. She tried smashing the breaks, attempting to stop. Sadly, this didn't work as the crash was so severe. She can't remember the rest as she blacked out, but she woke up to the sounds of ambulances, firetrucks, and police cars. By this time, she was already in New York, pretty much a day's worth of driving away from her home in Florida, and really far from her parents in Chicago. Her injuries were so severe, the police didn't have time to question her. She was put in an ambulance and brought straight to the nearest hospital. All that was running through her head was "Am I gonna die? Am I gonna die? Am I gonna die?" over and over again. She was scared, and her anxiety wasn't mixing well with her depression. She didn't want to die, but at the same time, she was wishing for death. She didn't feel like dealing with life anymore, not one bit. Something in her kept her going. She ended up breaking her arm and needing surgery in her leg, but there's nothing a cast and physical therapy can't fix, she thought. She knew that she couldn't fly into Asia like this. It was her goal to recover. She tried her best in physical therapy, for a whole month and a half- after getting her casts off. The first thing she did was get cleared to fly. The second she was, she went. She went to Japan without anything holding her back. She enrolled in one of her dream colleges, made it, and tried her best once again. She tried taking all the bad in her past experiences and turning them into good. She believed both her grandmother and bestfriend were there with her, every step of the way. During college, she had to work and support herself financially. She tried a whole bunch of different jobs, trying to find the right one to do part time. None of them really sparked an interest for her, so she just continues in college, getting her master's degree in English Language Arts. Shortly after, she applied to work at a few different high schools, and got accepted as an English teacher- loving every moment of it. She got so comfortable in her new life that she adopted a daughter, Atsume Bloom. Juliette Bloom was now 26 years old.

Experience as an English NQT & College Prof. [these are all things I got to roleplay]; The students, the atmosphere... it was the start of a great, new life. She met some new teachers, and became the friends of some- others, not so much. However, some of the friends included Mr. Edge, Mr. Whori, Ms. Rose, & Ms. Whitman. All of them were close, and would always have fun together. Soon after, Juliette had developed a relationship with one of her friends- Frank Edge. They would often go to the local pizzeria, and stay there for hours upon hours. One of the major things that happened during their relationship, wasn’t actually a good thing. It was afterschool on the average day, and they decided to walk to the family store together. While walking, a student verbally harassed both Juliette and Frank. Even though they were trying their hardest to hold back, a few punches were thrown. At one point in the fight, the student had pushed Juliette against a wall- forcing her wrist to bend the wrong way, spraining it. They dated for quite some time after that, but like all good things, it came to an end. Not because of a fight or anything, but because Mr. Edge had died from cancer. This had left her heartbroken and lonely- but this time, she had coping mechanisms. The first one that brought a lot of joy into her life was her other adopted daughter, Claire. When Juliette and Frank were at one of their many high points, they had decided to raise a daughter together, and give her a much better life. After his death severely impacted both Juliette and his adopted child, they both turned to each other. Not only did Juliette grow closer to those around her, but she had quit her job. She would accomplish one of her other life dreams at this point, and that was to become a college professor. She applied to a local community college, and was later accepted. At this point in time, she was now 30 years old. After getting over a majority of the heartbreak, she began getting more involved in her new job, where she would teach Education along with the occasional kitchen class. She enjoyed it loads, especially the fact that she now worked with older, more mature students. However, the good was (of course) accompanied with the bad. One day, she was about to host her average class on Education, until some semi-suspicious students walked in. They weren’t the usual kids, who looked ready to learn. She didn’t let this get to her, and tried to proceed with her class as per usual. A few minutes after, she would find herself outside of her classroom door, dialing 9-1-1. The classroom she was running was overthrown, shortly after a student proceeded to interrupt. He had gone up to Juliette, picked her up, over his shoulder, and literally threw her out of her own classroom. It resulted in them being arrested, and both her wrist & knee being sprained. Of course the injuries ended up healing, but the memories haven’t. Around a month after this occurrence, she had adopted her second daughter. Her name was Daisy Rose Bloom, and she was the same age as Claire. They got along most of the time, and bonded fast. They all began settling down, and their lives would normalize for the most part. Juliette was now in another relationship, this time with a man named Harvey. He was a police officer, and they got along really well. He had his own daughter, Claire. Juliette was her motherly figure, up until Claire tragically died in a gang fight. Soon after she lost Claire, she would “lose” Harvey as well. She had no idea this was going to happen, as he, quite literally, disappeared from her life all together. It would be a hard few months before she, surprisingly, would see him again. She had continued her adult life, caring for her two daughters at the time. By now, they have accepted what they thought was true- that both Harvey and Claire were dead. A few months passed, and Juliette had gotten a phone call. It was from her parents, the ones who didn’t even know she left home. They called saying that they had quit their jobs in Chicago, and that they were going back to Miami- where they thought they’d all live happily ever after. Little did they know, Juliette was on the other side of the world. She had to end up telling them the news, as there was no way of hiding it. They were mad at first, but had come to accept it. They weren’t going to drag her away from her new home and family. Therefore, Juliette suggested that they compromise. She would now make time to visit every year, her first visit in the next month. She was going back to Florida for two months, and couldn’t be more excited. However, prior to the trip, she quit her job at the college. She wanted to spend more time with her daughters, and she did this by becoming unemployed. She had a lot of money in savings accounts that had been collecting for the past 4 years, so financially, it wouldn’t be a problem. Her daughters would be staying with family friends, as they didn’t want to miss too much school. Juliette then left for her trip, and had a blast back home. Her parents met her in the Tampa airport, and after so many years, she was finally reunited with her parents. They spent the next two-three months together, until she returned back to Japan. When she came back, she had decided to get a new job, as she was somewhat sick of being a professor. It got boring after doing it for the past 3 years, and she wanted yet another fresh start. She would apply to the old high school she worked at, and soon after, get accepted.

After being accepted as an English teacher for the second time: She now had the same job she had four years ago. It felt good after four years of teaching college kids, Juliette was now refreshed with a, yet another, fresh start. She introduced herself to all the new students, as most of the ones she taught 4 years ago had graduated by now. By the time she settled in, she had more and more students finding her when they had problems. She often questioned what they thought she could even do, i mean… she’s only a teacher- not a police officer. There was one time where students had came to her out of school hours, claiming that they had a friend that was about to commit suicide. Due to her past, Juliette knew she had to do something. They made the girl come to the gates, where they would meet up. They were all over her, asking what she was thinking, and they wouldn’t stop. Juliette invited the girl, Sophie, back to her house, where they’d talk for hours. As Juliette is also depressed, she can relate to the girl. She understands what it’s like to have a difficult childhood, and that definitely made Sophie more comfortable in, what would soon be, her new home. Juli found out that she has no family left as she ran away from all of it, just as she did over 5 years ago. All in all, Sophie was now her third adopted daughter, and Juliette couldn’t be happier. Even though Claire didn’t enjoy the experience in the start, they eventually grew to love each other- as sisters. The next few days would turn into weeks, and a few love interests later, Juliette had a familiar face knocking on her door. It shocked her- Harvey. She had a million questions & her mind was racing on what to ask first. All that came out was “I thought you were dead.” and “why didn’t you tell me you were alive..?”. After the questioning, she had learned that he was in a coma. He had jumped off of a building, probably attempted suicide, and landed in a pool. The water naturally broke his fall, making the injuries a lot less severe. They ended up fighting over this, because he argued that he couldn’t actually tell her that he was dead. A few days went by, and so did many, many phone calls. During the whole process, Sophie stopped coming home more & more, and it began to get lonely once more. Juliette adopted her fourth daughter, Daisy Bloom. She was the same age as Sophie, and things worked out well. Life was calming down again, up until… [to be continued]
