What is your motivation for becoming a teacher?: To expand my horizons both socially and become apart of the community more intimately, as where I am now is quiet and not all too engaging. I'd also like to experience highschool from the perspective of a teacher, as their experiences seem to be wildly different from those of the students, and far more engaging.
Do you have any experience in Roleplaying?: I've been actively rping for maybe 8-9 years now, but I've been using SRP as a medium for it since July. I most notably have extensive experience in detailed book-styled literacy of rp over private messaging.
Have you read the Faculty Handbook?: Unless it's hidden, the link appears to be broken, however I've gone through the Code of Conduct and the 'What You Need to Know' page.
What are the classroom logs and why is it important?: The classroom logs are a record of all classes that take place hosted by teachers, what was taught/the activities that happened during these classes, when they happened, what subject they were, and who hosted them. They exist to ensure that teachers are doing their part, and to keep record of a teacher's course lessons as they come and go.
You want to start a school field trip; how do you do that?: My first course of action is to directly consult the principal or vice principal in an appointed meeting. I need to have planned where we're going, what the purpose is, when the field trip is going, who all is coming and the total headcount.
As a teacher, what are the strict rules when being in a class?:
1. Cell phone use is absolutely restricted! You cannot have your cell phone out in class, unless it's for an emergency--in which case you can step off to the side. This must be with my approval.
2. Keep things SFW! In class we are to be productive, friendly, and civil. This is a place to learn in peace, not fight, bicker, or disturb others. This goes for both the teachers and students.
3. Small snacks in class are okay. Many students have time constraints with all the activities to do around campus and town, and it's easy to skip a meal. Feel free to bring a tiny snack, but no full course meals, or anything that might distract classmates.
4. Stay productive and busy! You'll always have work to do, whether it be in this class or another, though it's preferred if you finish the work of the class you're in before moving onto other classwork. No time for slacking off.
5. Sit back and make sure you have a good time in class. Class, after all, is meant for the joys of learning.
Summarize your previous RP experience's (both in general and on SchoolRP): I was introduced to SchoolRP this past June/July (cannot remember specifically), which was my first time roleplaying on Minecraft. Before then I had done literate book-styled roleplays on Instagram (from the time I started roleplaying in 2011 till early 2019) and discord (within the last two years, forming my own small discord group last summer that died out as users graduated). I find roleplaying to be a HUGE stress relief, and will do it wherever I can.
Describe the ranking system of teachers:
- HD: HD stands for Head of Department--basically the boss of teachers in any given department, and assign shifts to teachers within said department
- QTLS: QTLS stands for Qualified Teacher with Learning Skills--it's a teacher who has extensive experience within their subject, and know how to conduct business as usual.
- NQT: NQT stands for Newly Qualified Teacher--basically a newbie to the practice of teaching and will be under supervision during their lessons.
Teacher Knowledge
Present to us your knowledge about Teachers in-game and out-of-game, what purpose do teachers serve. What salary do they get? Include a paragraph about the way teachers teach, what they do in their spare time in general. Teachers on the server earn roughly Y200,000-Y250,000 annually. Whenever available, teachers should be spending time planning their lessons out and talking with and coaching students, even counselling if need-be. Teachers should be there for their students, to watch them grow and succeed.
Why are teachers important to a SchoolRP server?: The entire premise of the server is school. Teachers keep this aspect chugging and going strong by providing classes for students to attend and get the school rp environment they seek, by being the absolute best they can be. Without teachers, school is just a place to gather and socialize, and not much more--that makes it no different from any other place you can visit.

Character Knowledge
Tell us everything you know about the character you will be playing in a few paragraphs. How does he look like? What makes him unique and different? What is his outlook on Students? What about the other teachers? What is his personality like? What is his plan for the future? Icarus is a lean, fit build male--by no means overly athletic, but definitely in shape--standing at 6'3". He has strawberry blonde hair, neatly kept and fluffy, and pale blue eyes. He has a clean complexion, and a soft looking, friendly face. He's very gentle, albeit tends to engage in banter quite easily with those he's familiar with, and he is incredibly formal. He considers his image to be very important, though will set that aside to assist in whatever way he possibly can, if he feels he is able to. Being the 2nd oldest sibling of the Kaetsu family, he found a passion for caretaking and teaching early on, especially when he established an interest in World History during his pre-teens. He loves to nurture, and loves to see young minds blossom and flourish. His plans for the future are to climb the ladder to one day become an in-the-field archaeologist, and explore all the historical sites he reads about up close and personal.
Scenarios
You find a gang of delinquents in the hallway cursing and swearing, what do you do?: It's important to truly gauge the situation before engaging, to be sure if you're in the right or not. Upon finding that the scene unfolding before me is in fact against the rules, I would calmly step in and politely ask them to tone it down--perhaps a gentle warning is all it takes sometimes, not everyone has ill intent, after all. If it persists, I would give another firmer warning. If it persists beyond this, I must seek out someone holding more authority than I to take further measures.
No one in your class is listening to a word you say, what do you do?: If no one will listen, even after one or two warnings, I will decide I must take extreme measures--step up to the plate! I'd threaten to stop the lesson, and hand out detentions to every single student. Harsh, yes, but it will encourage those who are cooperating to try and make their rowdy classmates cooperate too. If this doesn't work, I'd call a higher faculty member.
When in the teacher's lounge, how does your character act?: Icarus is a very mellow guy. He's very friendly, albeit very softspoken and quiet. He won't speak unless spoken to when surrounded by those he doesn't know, but will become chatty and friendly with those he is familiar with.

Backstory
Icarus was born as the second child to Rin Kaetsu and Hironori Kaetsu, on October 21st, 1996 in Shinjuku, Tokyo. He was prematurely born, and had a sickly start to his childhood, however, he would quickly flourish as he entered private tutoring at 5 years old in 2001.
The Kaetsu family, despite their tough-love method of raising children, had given life to an absolute sweetheart of a boy. Quite early on in his academics, it had been discovered that Icarus had found it quite easy to take in information and regurgitate it in a way he understood, learning extremely quickly. He would love, especially, learning about ancient civilizations like Ancient Egypt, the Mayans, and several others. He was moreso interested in the world than he was anatomy and sciences like his dearest elder sister Ren, and as soon as this was noted in him, it was nurtured carefully.
As his younger siblings were born, he became more and more interested in getting out and exploring the world, and quickly found a passion in helping tutor them and raise them alongside his parents, with a more gentle approach behind their backs. Despite his dreams to become an archaeologist, he determined that his calling, first and foremost, to prove to both himself and his family that he was a historian to its truest and highest form, he would engage in teaching.
Upon entering university, he actively pursued both History and Humanities, preparing for both his eventual field career, and his teaching job, and this is where he has ended up today.
