Trivia

What is your motivation for becoming a teacher?: As a college student, majoring in Graphic Design for Associates. I want to expand my artistic knowledge to everyone, It doesn't always have to be ICly, it could also be OOCly if you need some tips or help. I've been learning art since I was eleven years old, currently I am twenty-two years old. Ten years of learning, practicing, patience and dedication. From my experience and what I learned through-out those years, anything you see or do (mostly anything) can be transformed into art or defined as a form of art. ICly, all of the knowledge that I will I give to the students, will be directly from what I learned IRL instead of just using "GOOGLE" and searching everything up. I really like the idea of being able to transfer the knowledge that I learned during school to the students ICly and creating a really surreal roleplay experience for them. I’m applying not only so that I can expand the knowledge of others ICly and OOCly, but also so that I can help give myself a better understanding as well. Some may say that the best teachers in the world are not the teachers but instead the students helping the teacher be better. This entire concept would help my character progress and learn more, developing his backstory but also helping me OOCly.

Do you have any experience in Roleplaying?: Yes, I've got some role play experience. Mostly from other games like DayZ, Arma 3, FFXIV, Black Desert, and other non-SRP related platforms like Skype and discord. I've been Minecraft roleplaying since 2012, I believe. Most of them were City, Apocalypse and Supernatural. When it comes to grammar in roleplay and such, I'm a little above average about it. Even at my age, I'm still having trouble pronouncing words and such. I’ve also been playing on this server for years now and I get the just of how things work on SRP.

Have you read the Faculty Handbook?: Yes, I have read it a couple of times already. I understand it and I also understand that it no longer applies to RP, instead we now have the code of conduct and the teacher OOC rules. I have also read those thoroughly and I fully understand them.

What are the classroom logs and why is it important?: Classroom logs is where teachers keep track on activities inside their classroom during class hours. Everything has to be monitored or logged inside that specific classroom that you're teaching in. Using classroom logs will also help your experience on teaching. For example, reading through the class logs you typed in, could help you make your teaching experience more efficient. It is also an efficient way to keep track of how many classes you’ve done within that month.

You want to start a school field trip; how do you do that?: For starting a school field trip, you must fill in the School Field Trip Application, though that doesn’t exist anymore due to the Faculty Handbook being replaced so I assume you’d have to contact either the principal or vice principal and request it.

As a teacher, what are the strict rules when being in a class?:

  • Students must respect the teacher and other students alike.

  • No Swearing or any types of inappropriate language.

  • Verbal or physical harassment will not be tolerated, both students and classroom monitors.

  • Any types of violence will not be tolerated.

  • You must raise your hand before speaking or asking a question.

  • Lying or dishonesty will lead you nowhere. Use common sense and be honest.

  • Cell phones or any other types of electronics are prohibited inside class hours.

  • Plagiarism will not be tolerated, so do not use anyone else's work as your own!

  • Disrupting class would lead you getting kicked out of class for the entirety of the lesson.

Summarize your previous RP experiences (both in general and on SchoolRP):

I've been role-playing for years and I have many experiences as a high-school student in-game, I watch and observe the teachers like a hawk. I understand the ways on how they teach the students. I’ve also been on the server for about two years now, as I mentioned previously so I can easily understand how SchoolRP works in general and how to act. I also have a general understanding of the rules and I know that there are certain things that I can and can’t do.

Describe the ranking system of teachers:

- HD: Head of the Department is in-charge or responsible for making lesson plans and curriculum. They are also responsible for keeping the other teachers below them in check, meaning the ensure that the lesson plans they have are relevant to the subject and make sure they aren’t acting up.

- QTLS: Qualified teachers in learning skills are able to host a class without the Head of the Department. They have a good understanding of their subject and is usually helping the newly qualified teachers gain a just of teaching. They are also responsible for making sure their lessons plans are always relevant.

- NQT: Newly qualified teachers - A teacher who are new to the field of education. They need permission from the Head of the Department to host a class. They are new but are still responsible for their actions and must abide by the rules like anyone else. They make their own lesson plans and make sure that what they’re teaching is appropriate for the subject and students.

Teacher Knowledge

Present to us your knowledge about Teachers in-game and out-of-game, what purpose do teachers serve. What salary do they get? Include a paragraph about the way teachers teach, what they do in their spare time in general.

A teacher has to be patient and ambition when it comes to student’s academic tracking. Their job is to help every student to become successful, as they’ll have a future career ahead of them. They also have to be able to know what to do in any situation that them or the students can be placed in. Teachers are paid by how many classes they do, the minimum requirement is fifteen classes per month. If they complete the 15 classes within that month they are paid ¥150,000. If they reach their fifteen classes early, for every five classes they do an extra ¥50,000 gets added to their monthly paycheck. Teachers also should teach in a way that the students understand and aren’t bombarded with information that they can’t understand. The atmosphere of the classroom should be quiet and diligent. Also, in a teachers spare time they should be planning classes mostly or helping the school or students and if not, they’re living their life like a normal person.

Why are teachers important to a SchoolRP server?:

Teachers are extremely important to SchoolRP because without them SchoolRP wouldn't have a school which is necessary. Without teachers SchoolRP would become a CityRP and that would defeat the purpose of it.

What lesson planning system does the school work on?:

Must have, should have, and could have. All of which are the school’s planning system of MoSCo, though this isn’t stated in any of the newer remade documents, I got this information from the previous faculty handbook.

Character Knowledge

Tell us everything you know about the character you will be playing in a few paragraphs. How does he look like? What makes him unique and different? What is his outlook on Students? What about the other teachers? What is his personality like? What is his plan for the future?

Zhang Sun Haechi is a white-washed Korean Male. He’d stands up at six foot two inches and weighs roughly about one hundred-seventy lbs. He’d be wearing anything that are long or rolled-up sleeve jackets and military like pants like cargo or just denim jeans. Zhang loves playing guitar ever since he got his acoustic. He does free-time artwork in his spare time, practicing perspective sketches or painting of a city/land scenario. He would also enjoy playing volleyball against others since he used to be in the team. What makes him unique is that he’s the only Korean individual that has an American accent. His outlook on students would be some-what serious when it comes to teaching at school, but during his off time, he’d be a gentleman to or a self-responsible adult. His outlook on teachers, he would casually just be friendly with them like they’re just another adult or what not.

Scenarios

You find a gang of delinquents in the hallway cursing and swearing, what do you do?:

Zhang would firstly, ask them nicely to stop what they’re doing. If it gets out of hand, they’ll receive detention right after school. If it gets worse, Zhang would keep this professional and call other teachers or school staff to help with the situation.

No one in your class is listening to a word you say, what do you do?:

If the class isn’t listening. Zhang would tell them to at least take notes because it’ll be useful knowledge for upcoming test or exam, depending on the topic. He would also take student’s opinion on how he should make the class more enjoyable and more interesting. Only if its appropriate for the class of course. If this behavior continues after warned he would also begin removing people from the class that were causing a disruption. If it gets out of hand he would tell the students that if they didn’t stop he wouldn’t be afraid to give the delinquents detention.

When in the teacher's lounge, how does your character act?:

In the lounge, Zhang is normally either going over school assignments, homework or going over what he's going to provide for the next class, if he's alone. When Zhang isn't alone he would continue to go over work but talk with the other teachers about how their class went to make conversation but he would stay on top of things just till the bell rang then he leaves back to his class for another lesson. His attitude would be positive and cheerful for the majority of the time and he would seem mostly optimistic towards his co-workers being quiet but also able to join a conversation casually and speak openly about work.

Provide at least 5 detailed /me's of your character inside a classroom:

/me He'd be standing at the front of his desk, both hands were together on it as he was leaning against it. Watching the students pour in and observing them. When the first students came in, he’d motion them to sit down.

/me He’d look around the room nodding while slightly mouthing numbers to himself, seeming to be getting a headcount of the students.

/me Grabbing a hold of a piece of chalk and walking over to the chalkboard, he’d demonstrate a small example of abstract art, showing it towards the students.

/me He’d walk up to a student, observe their assignment as his face would light up with joy and he’d smile at the student, giving them a thumbs up and continuing to walk around the classroom, running his eyes over various students papers.

/me He’d would watch the class leave through the door, with a gentle straight facial impression.
