Oliver’s base personality is very mixed and confusing. It varies depending on the environment and situation. When he’s with his friends, Oliver can be described as very caring and careful. He’s normally the one in the group to take caution. This can change though as he sometimes just jumps into situations without thinking first! When he’s by himself, Oliver is very hard-working and focused. This is a contrasting trait from his inattentiveness when surrounded by friends. Overall, Oliver is caring. It doesn’t matter if you’re his lover or just a friend, he would die for you. He’s very selfless when it comes to important things.
Flaws
Stated before, his state of inattentiveness leaves him mostly out of the know. This can be very bad in some situations. Oliver is not the best when it comes to checking up on people. If he doesn’t hear from them, he assumes that they’re doing fine. This could be described as, somewhat, ignorance? He always looks on the bright side and it can bite him in the ass sometimes. His mother took the brute end of the trauma. She became very absent in Oliver’s life and to a certain point, emotionally abusive. His sister and brother looked over him and stood up for him against his mother.
Oliver focused on his grades and only his grades until his Junior year. Then, he met a boy. This boy was the best and only lover that Oliver had ever had. Oliver’s life was struck with tragedy once again as his brother passed away. He had been diagnosed with a terminal illness about a year prior, meaning this one was expected. Still, Oliver shed tears over this. It hit him harder than normal for some reason. He thought he’d be able to deal with it better this time but no, he wasn’t prepared. After some tears, Oliver’s lover and friends helped him push through. He stopped caring so much about school and relaxed a bit. Still, he kept good grades. Always, the grades! Ugh!
After some boy drama happened, he and his lover split. Oliver was grateful though. This boy taught him how to love. He was content again after a while and got back into being a socialite with his friends! Now, a journey to Japan for some fun!
