In-game, I can spend up to 2-6 hours online a day which I tend to spread out between alternate accounts depending on the need for the character. On weekends, I tend to spend 4+ hours on SchoolRP. Periodically I check the forums to see any updates on what is going on within our community. (This hasn’t changed since my last application)

What is your motivation for becoming a teacher?:

My main motivation for becoming a teacher on SchoolRP is related to my goals out of character of possibly becoming a teacher in the field I previously taught on the server. Secondly, I believe that teachers play a huge role on SchoolRP in general, they play the role of entertaining the player-base that attending Karakura High-School as well as come up with ideas to create lessons both funky and fresh.

What motivated me to submit this application for switching subjects was mostly out of character, I currently don’t find the subject I’m currently listed as under the roster, — ICT — so in some ways this is the easier option, however, I struggle to find the motivation to teach ICT. I believe that I can come up with quirky lesson ideas that could make it fun and interesting for both me and the players I’d be entrusted to “entertain”. I would love to also play a new character instead of my previous one which adds to my motivation to become a teacher in the subject.

Do you have any experience in Roleplaying?:

I believe that I have a considerable amount of roleplaying experience at this stage, whether it’s on SchoolRP itself as well as outside. Currently, I’ve dabbled in TeacherRP and I mainly play as a School Employee and a student (At the moment), however, I’ve also been involved in clubs and sports teams as well as different factions outside of the high-school.

Have you read the Faculty Handbook?:

Although the Faculty Handbook has been removed, I have read all possible threads regarding teachers already and I know most of the basics from my current involvement in the High-School.

What are the classroom logs and why is it important?:

Classroom logs currently belong in the Academics discord, all teachers are expected to use if they wish to remain a teacher on SchoolRP. It’s important as this is used for the Vice-Principal involved with the teachers and the faction lead to check on how active the teaching staff are and correctly keep up to date with how many classes they’ve completed within the month for both the roster on the google sheet and the amount the teachers should be paid at the end of the OOC month. The format includes the classroom or location of the lesson as well as IGN, classes taught(within the month) and a screenshot for proof the lesson actually took place.

You want to start a school field trip; how do you do that?:

I would contact the Head of Department (HD) of my subject and any available member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT). However, before contacting the higher ranking teacher(s) and or a member of the SLT, I’d create a plan with a list of possible venues and perhaps recruit some of the other teaching staff to help ensure it runs smoothly.

As a teacher, what are the strict rules when being in a class?

Classroom rules:
  • No Swearing.
  • Pay attention to the teacher or student speaking.
  • Respect both school employees and students.
  • No eating or drinking during lesson.
  • Don’t talk whilst the teacher or student(If asked to) is talking.
  • No phones in lesson
Rules outside of the classroom:
  • Stay with the rest of the class, leaving will result in a detention.
  • Do not start without first being instructed to.
  • Listen to the teacher.
  • Act appropriately.
Summarize your previous RP experience (both in general and on SchoolRP):
At a younger age, I roleplayed outside of SchoolRP on a private server where we’d come up with our own concepts, building and roleplaying each concept we came up with ranging from Western to Magic. Currently, on SchoolRP I’ve had many different roles, the most unique being Teacher and School Employee, which I believe gives me enough experience to be able to effectively ‘SeriousRP’.

Describe the ranking system of teachers:
— HD:

Head of Department or ‘HD’ is a title given to a worthy teacher once they’ve proven themselves in both leadership and responsibility. This is the highest role a teacher can aspire to become, with the role a teacher is given certain responsibilities over her subject and the teachers within it.

— QTLS:

Qualified Teacher and Learning Skills or ‘QTLS’ is the second highest ranking teacher in their respective subject. To obtain this title a teacher must demonstrate to both Inspectors and SLT members that they’re competent in both teaching and safeguarding (This could include ability to plan and entertain a classroom or ability to keep the students safe under the health and safety rules supplied by the school board).

— NQT:

Newly Qualified Teachers or ‘NQT’ is the role teaching staff are given by default upon starting work at the school with no previous experience, this by no means is the worst rank it just means that the teacher is yet to prove themselves to the members of SLT and HD.

Teacher Knowledge

Present to us your knowledge about Teachers in-game and out-of-game, what purpose do teachers serve. What salary do they get? Include a paragraph about the way teachers teach, what they do in their spare time in general.

First of all, In-game; teachers are expected to reach a minimum of 15 classes per month, they each get one classroom and can plan lessons on anything educational and related to their subject. Teachers must attempt to make their lessons as ‘fun’ as they can in order to engage their pupils. If the teacher reaches the minimum of 15 classes, they can request their pay-check as well as any additional extra classes that they completed during the month. Teachers In-game can earn ¥250,000 and get paid ¥50,000 for every 5 classes they complete over the minimum.

Secondly, the purpose of teachers; teachers are entrusted with the extremely all-important job of educating our children, during school hours parents expect the teachers to both keep our children safe and prepare them for adulthood by educating them in life skills and important subjects vital to their education and future in the real world. Teachers are extremely important in our society because without education it can be extremely difficult to find a work placement — besides without knowledge, where would we be as a civilisation? Lastly, teaching out-of-game is one of the many ‘rewarding’ jobs out there, not only do you get to leave an impression on a child, as a teacher, you also get to nurture their talents and intelligence, seeing them thrive and fail.

Why are teachers important to a SchoolRP server?:

Teachers play a larger role in SchoolRP as they fill the bulk of the In-Character days with lessons and are expected to entertain the active player-base with roleplay, especially now with the new rule in place, it’s extremely important for teachers to exist — this is a ‘School’ RP server after all.

What lesson planning system does the school work on?:

MoSCo; Must have, should have, could have. This is the current lesson planning system that the Karakura High enforces.

Character Knowledge

Tell us everything you know about the character you will be playing in a few paragraphs. What does she look like? What makes her unique and different? What is her outlook on Students? What is her personality like? What’s her plan for the future?

Junsu Ahn Hamilton; a female, aged 25 currently living in Karakura, Japan. She’s approximately 5’5” with a slim body and prominent facial features; Clear recognition towards her hours of gruelling training she endured over the years, finally put into use (Obviously, in her eyes, to be more attractive when in actuality it is her profession). Her eyes would be a deep hazel with golden flecks here and there around the irises, eyelashes long and dark, adorning her brown locks that would spill gracefully onto her shoulders. A chiselled jawline would clearly define her face, making it more angular and sharp. Junsu has pale skin, mainly adopted by a more ‘modern Korean’ look, with her husband describing her as having ‘porcelain beauty’. The slight aroma of roses would follow her with a hint of other floral scents as though she had just stepped foot out of a florist.

Junsu could be considered somewhat ‘strict’, however, out of the classroom settings she’s completely fine and loves finds being a teacher one of the few joys in her life. She’d be rather positive where she can as Junsu’s many passions amongst dance is a multitude of sport! Although she never imagined herself wanting to use her training and education to teach, she’s proud to be able to pass on as much of her current knowledge to the students of Karakura-High. Her plan for the future is to hopefully one day get into a stable stage in her marriage where her husband hopefully decides to settle down with her in Karakura instead of prioritising work over his spouse, she’d also like to have biological children someday ideally before she breaks into her thirties.

Scenarios

You find a gang of delinquents in the hallway cursing and swearing, what do you do?:

Junsu does not take delinquency lightly. Firstly, she’d walk towards the students furrowing her brows. Secondly, she’d give the entire group a verbal warning. — based on their previous activities of course — If they were to continue, she’d give the students detentions each, making them complete some kind of educational task(most likely an essay or test).

No one in your class is listening to a word you say, what do you do?:

Junsu completely dislikes students talking over her, especially when they’re disrupting the flow of the lesson; she finds it absolutely absurd that students would throw away their education. So firstly, she’d change the tone in her voice, clearly shouting so that the students are aware that she’s attempting to grab their attention telling them point-blank that continuing will result in an After School detention. However, if her attempts fail, Junsu would immediately intercom for a Vice Principal to sit in the lesson to ensure their behaviour doesn’t fall below her expectations again.

When in the teacher's lounge, how does your character act?:

Junsu; a perfectionist in all sense of the word, would often be seen as quiet as she continued with her daily chores, which mostly consist of; lesson planning, organising herself and rearranging her bag, however, she would occasionally socialise with other teachers and school employees making periodic small talk and conversation where appropriate.

/me She’d spring out of her chair, tapping her desk in an immediate manner to capture the class's attention.
/me Would scan the classroom for any outward behaviour by simply walking around the classroom.
/me Clearly irked by one of her students, she’d point at (insert name)- “You! I’m talking, please raise your hand if you have something to say.” she’d continue-
/me She’d catch the volleyball with a please look on her face, “Good job, everyone! Now, let me show you how you set the ball- It’s really easy.”
/mel She’d blow on her whistle four times with complete confidence, waiting patiently for her students to assemble around her.

Backstory

Junsu Ahn was born in Seoul, South Korea, during the summer of 1994, specifically July 4th. She was born into a very relaxed household, growing up around her two sisters Hyunjin and Heejin; Both twins and both in high school, they had already left for college during the majority of teenage years — when she needed them the most. Growing up, Junsu filled her loneliness with volleyball, quickly turning into her only interest as her parents both worked long hours (Her dad a Paralegal for a local firm and her mother worked at a local convenience store).

Junsu found a love in dance, specifically ballet, her dream was to one day study in France where she could perfect her dancing and volleyball in hopes to one day become an Olympic volleyball player or a dancer. Eventually, part of her dream came true, she moved to France where she studied mainly Physical Education (Sports and Dance). She soon realised that her dream of becoming a dancer was near impossible and had huge doubts in herself.

Her once slightly scary change of scene turned into the happiest time of her life, she finally met a friend who she could confide in, Momose, she was — at the time — living with her son, Luigi, she’d often look after him whilst she finished off homework. Fast forward a few months, Momose had met a guy who introduced her to his brother, Michael. Michael was a complete charmer with incredibly dark thoughts, behind his impregnable happy facade, she was at best lonely. Junsu served as Michael’s only friend, — other than his brother of course — eventually, the two of them developed feelings for each other.

Junsu is now married to her husband, Michael Jason Hamilton, currently aged 27. Michael is a workaholic who barely has any time to fit his wife in the picture; he works as a secretary for an American celebrity whom she knows little about. Junsu, — after graduating — now lives in Karakura, Japan with her best friend, now sister-in-law, Momose.

- This is an incredibly well-made application, you’re already an experienced teacher. Bringing you onto the teacher team with a new teaching subject would be the correct decision in my opinion.
