Something should be done about stores

Hey. I play on the server regularily and i want to buy stuff. You know whats annoying? Waiting hours irl for a store to open. I get it, shop owners can’t be online 24/7 but neither can customers thats why i suggest having a way to buy stuff without needing another player. Potentially having it sell essentials like phones or basic foods but make the cosmetics store only. This would reduce the agonising wait time many have to endure. Thanks for reading hope this can be put in some way

It's because of the delivery thing, once it gets fixed shops will open 24/7. If you need food for now, just buy treats from a vending machine. Delivery people are doing their best right now, just be patient.

Reading this thread reminds me of the old map. We did used to have a small family store in which signs was used to purchase items. But obviously, as we moved to the new map, there was more elements of RP added. It's understandable that the activity of shops has decreased a lot; but that's really on the delivery company being slightly broken. But bare with, all shall be fixed soon... We hope.

Back then when we had the sign system we only had about 20 items that you could buy with little players compared to what we have today to buy them, now we have hundreds of items which, would all be hard to fit into a store whilst looking good if we were to go back to signs, as well as the fact that, can you imagine in the busier hours of SRP hundreds of players spamming signs? We'd have so many purges we don't need, ALSO the shops have helped the servers economy so much, back then, having 100k was like having a million yen or even 10 million yen now having 100k is a small amount which shows how much shops have helped our economy whilst keeping items at the same price they have been since the second map, instead of signs deleting our newly found economy growth, the money should stay within the servers players, anyways that just my input on the topic

The basics are already sold outside of stores, vending machines, all that would be needed is a way to get phones

The shops aren't open very often because of the delivery system. When it gets fixed, the shops will hopefully become active again. I believe that having stores that are owned and ran by players add a lot more realism to the server, and these shops have already given players many different opportunities for role play.

Also, (and this is just my personal opinion), if we had stores with signs that allowed us to get the "basics" other than food, it would just be too easy. Phones, for example, are one of the most popular and desired items on the server that can really have quite of an impact on a person's role play. Therefore, I think that it should remain a bit of a challenge to get them.

Me being a shop owner I have though of this and I will look further into this with what I can but it mat not be the best of Idea's. Thank you for your input though. I appreciate it

You just need to be patient in my opinion. Delivery has broken down multiple times and stores were unable to restock. So please just be patient when it comes to stores.

As Luna said above, yeah the Delivery broke down multiple times so it's gonna take a while for the workers to send out deliveries to the shop owners. Delivery is already working again, but some shop owners arent available at the moment to open their shops because of their outside lives. All I just have to say is, be patient. The owners will try their very best to be active again.

Also, players have outside lives too, they don't live in Minecraft. A lot of people want shop owners to be on 24/7, but they need irl time too, you may be active, but you gotta think about irl, not Minecraft. Minecraft is just a game for fun, irl is important, and it isn't a game.

Uhh- That's still highly against the server rules, no matter what your reason is.

If I know something about in-game stores, last time I joined the 11/7 was open and working perfectly... It was a year ago I do think that Vending Machines are a way to buy food.
