How old are you?: I’m 16 years old

Do you have any previous bans?: One was a 1 hour temp ban for a reason I can’t recall, and one was for fly hacking. The latter was a misconception, and I was unbanned shortly after.

What Country are you from?: USA

Discord: WeeabooTrashlord#1054

Do you understand that most answers are found in the roleplay documents?: Yes, I understand that I can find the answers in the roleplay documents, however, seeing as though many of the links are broken / don’t exist anymore, I’ll be using prior knowledge to answer the questions.

Do you acknowledge that if you are inactive you will be demoted?: Yes, I do acknowledge this, however, I have no intentions of being inactive if I am to be accepted for this role.

Do you understand that all classroom activity must be documented on the "Teacher Roster" thread?: I do understand that I need to document any and all classroom activity on the Teacher Roster.

Describe your activity on the server & on the forums: On the server, I’m usually a very active member, getting on daily. Though recently, I’ve been a bit occupied with some other hobbies, so I’ve been a bit less active.

On the forums, I’d like to believe that I’ve become more active recently, though I wouldn’t classify myself as an active user. I often rate posts, occasionally replying when I can add something to a thread. Other than that, I either just lurk, or don’t come on the forums at all.

Trivia
What is your motivation for becoming a teacher?
: I’m applying yet again for the teacher role, as I thoroughly enjoyed being a teacher for the 2.5ish months I held the role. After this period, I resigned, as I wasn’t in the best of positions to continue teaching on SRP, due to OOC reasons. After a long break, I decided to apply again, but my application was marked “Accepted/Denied” due to the position being filled. I was offered the opportunity to be a teacher regardless, under the condition that I chose a different subject to teach; However, nothing really came of this, and so I wasn’t given a role. I’m re-applying now, with hopes that I’ll be fully accepted without any issues.

Do you have any experience in Roleplaying?: I have done some role playing in tabletop games such as D&D / Pathfinder, as well as in chat rooms such as Discord / Amino. The majority of the roleplaying I have done has all been in-game, either on SRP or other servers. By far, I have spent the majority of my roleplaying time on SRP, as it has been the most enjoyable out of the mediums I have tried out.

Have you read the Faculty Handbook?: I have visited the documents that still exist, and re-read them all.

What are the classroom logs and why is it important?: The classroom logs are a record of what a teacher teaches, and how often they teach. It consists of a brief summary of what happened in the class that period, as well as evidence of completing the class (which in my experience, was in the form of a screenshot). The logs are important, because without them, there would be no reliable way to see which teachers are active, and which teachers are not.

You want to start a school field trip; how do you do that?: I would use the field trip application, which would cover where, when, and why the field trip would be taking place.

As a teacher, what are the strict rules when being in a class?: I have ten rules for my classroom, which I’m certain cover all grounds:

1. Respect everybody in the room, student or faculty
2. Usage of phones, as well as any other distraction, is prohibited
3. Refrain from any violence in the classroom
4. Do not yell, or speak when another is speaking
5. Refrain from any private discussions or side comments
6. Raise your hand if you wish to speak
7. Do not eat or drink anything
8. Stay seated unless instructed otherwise
9. No swearing, or use of vulgar language at inappropriate times
10. Be willing to learn and participate

Summarize your previous RP experiences: As I’ve said previously, I’ve roleplayed irl over tabletop games, as well as in miscellaneous chats such as in Discord. I’ve also done a bit on other minecraft servers, but SRP has been most of my experience.

Describe the ranking system of teachers:

Head of Department (HD): The Head of Department is the highest ranking teacher in a particular subject. They are responsible for coming up with a course outline for their entire subject as a whole, as well as leading / directing their subordinates. HDs are to be active, be dedicated to their role, and have the motivation to lead their team. These teachers have an increased payment, as well as the opportunity to have their ideas for the school to be heard, and basically have more influence in general.

Qualified Teacher in Learning Skills (QTLS): Qualified Teachers are essentially teachers who have proved they know how to do their job correctly. They are to do their job to the best of their ability, as well as, alongside the HDs, guide the NQTs to do their jobs properly.

Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT): Newly Qualified Teachers are teachers who are new (obviously). This is the first rank one will receive upon being accepted as a teacher, and as one might expect, it has the least amount of influence in the school. NQTs, just as the other two ranks, are expected to teach classes regularly, and be role models for the students. They don’t have much authority, however, they may be promoted to a QTLS, given they put in the time and effort.

Teacher Knowledge
Present to us your knowledge about Teachers in-game and out-of-game
:
In my previous application, I believe I accurately described what a teacher is, hitting each question with the highest level of accuracy that I could provide; And honestly, my opinions and knowledge hasn’t changed. As much as I dislike copy/pasting from my previous application, the following is my old (and current) answer to this question. Few revisions have been made to make it more accurate. Apologies for any inconveniences.

Teachers essentially exist to teach their students not only about academic subjects, but life as well. They are responsible for passing down the knowledge they’ve accumulated during their lifetime down to the next generation, as well as guiding their students along the right path, ensuring they have a sound future.

Each teacher has their own preferred method of teaching; For example, some teachers go in depth with mnemonics to help students understand, others go over simple / easy to understand methods, and some even just hit hard with the drill and kill. There is no one true “best” way to teach- Just as every teacher teaches differently, every student learns differently as well. Teachers need to do their best to adapt to this, so their student can properly understand the information they are being taught.

A teacher is paid usually based on what role they fulfill, and how long they’ve been working at their school. Starting salary is usually quite brutal, especially as many teachers are paying off loans for houses, schooling, and whatever else they may have purchased. However, as time moves on, it only gets better. On the SRP server, to my current knowledge, teachers are paid a salary of 250k if they complete 15 classes a month, as well as an additional 50k for every 5 classes completed after this quota.

And at the end of the day, a teacher is still human; They have their own lives, hobbies, families, goals, passions. . . Though, even after the school bells stop ringing, a teacher is still a teacher. They are to keep up images as to not tarnish not only their own, but the school’s reputation. That being said, there is nothing wrong with being a normal, casual human, because that’s exactly what teachers are.

Why are teachers important to a SchoolRP server?: Teachers are important to a school roleplay server for more than a few reasons. For example, they provide an environment which guarantees a place for roleplay, or at the very least, the opportunity for it. Newer players often struggle with just straight out starting, going up to people and striking up conversation; Teachers hold classes regularly, meaning that these players have an opportunity to learn / experience what they should do.

Teachers are also held to a certain standard, and are generally good players to go to if you have questions. In most cases, if somebody wants to know the answer to a question, they’ll go to somebody who seems to know what they’re doing, the example I’m pushing, a person with an easily identifiable rank, or a teacher.

What lesson planning system does the school work on?: Karakura uses MOSCO, which means “Must have should have could have.”

Character Knowledge
Tsubaki Sakiyama is an average woman of the Japanese ethnicity, born July 18th, 1974 (45). If you were to see her outside of a working environment, she would seem out of it; Disheveled hair, “lounge” clothes, and a general lack of self awareness in regards to her physical appearance are the norm for her. However, when it’s time to be serious, she dresses professionally, holds a straight posture, and speaks with confidence.

She acts based on the people around her; If she is surrounded by at least decent human beings, she’ll carry herself in a manner that is much more friendly and lenient. If she’s surrounded by literal tumors of society, her tone and actions may not be so kind. Though, no matter her company, her principles remain static.

Her outlook on students is as follows; As long as they are willing to learn, she is willing to teach, be it in school subjects, or other important matters in life. A student, no matter what they’ve done or how they’ve acted in the past, is still a student, granted they clearly wish to change, and want to participate. If they haven’t at least tried to change, she sees no point in wasting her own effort to help them.

Scenarios
You find a gang of delinquents in the hallway cursing and swearing, what do you do?
: I would briefly inform them of the scene they were causing, before kindly asking them to relocate or disperse. If they refuse, I would threaten / issue detentions for all of them on the spot, depending on the way they respond. If they fail to cooperate after this, I would call for the assistance of another faculty member. If I suspected them to be participating in illegal activity, or be in possession of something illegal (such as a weapon), I would contact the police.

No one in your class is listening to a word you say, what do you do?: After getting their attention (loud noise, singling them out, etc.), I would calmly walk to the door, open it, and inform them that they are free to leave if they didn’t want to participate in my class. I would also inform them of the detention they would receive if they did choose to leave, and of the detention they would receive if they continued to be disruptive.

When in the teacher's lounge, how does your character act?: Tsubaki acts professionally at all times, whether or not she is in a private location. She’d act as kind as ever, though her tolerance for misbehavior or unprofessionalism would still be low. She would either spend her time socializing with other teachers, or prepping for class.

Provide at least 5 detailed /me's of your character inside a classroom:

/me She would scan the classroom, waiting for the students to quiet down
/me She’d clear her throat, transitioning into a much louder, more intimidating tone of voice
/me She would seem genuinely pleased with the answer NAME provided
/me She’d open her textbook, taking a few moments to find the correct page number
/me While they were distracted, she would grab NAME’s phone, ending the call in the process

Backstory
Tsubaki’s backstory is still incomplete, as I haven’t actually sat down to write it, so this is a much shorter version, with information relevant to how she became a teacher to how she got to Karakura, as I don’t wish to basically copy paste my old backstory to this new application. Apologies for any inconvenience this causes.

Tsubaki, who had previously cut ties with her old career in search of, to some extent, a new life, had decided to take up teaching. Her main reason for choosing this specific career, is that she had always admired the sort of atmosphere an ideal classroom had. While she was aware that her perfect vision was most definitely not reality, Tsubaki was interested nonetheless.

Having more than enough money to sustain herself for a while, she spent a few months unemployed, searching for the ideal position to take. Eventually, she was accepted for a position at a university, where she would co-teach science under a more experienced professor. The pay, while not bad, was less than her old job. However, she was able to make ends meet, and live comfortably.

For the duration of her time as a “co-teacher,” Tsubaki was essentially used by her senior. While her job description more closely resembled “assistant,” she was usually the one singlehandedly planning and teaching the class. While she wasn’t necessarily happy with this, it didn’t bother her, as she would rather teach instead of sitting down and being instructed what to do.

She held this job for a total of eight years, before inevitably deciding it’d be better to just find another job. After finishing the current year out strong, she resigned from her position at this university; Though, she didn’t instantly go back out to search for a job. After saving up enough funds, she finally had the opportunity to take a break from the working life. Pent up stress that had accumulated over many years would have it’s time to disperse over the 6 month period Tsubaki allocated to living a “NEET” lifestyle.

She moved into a small apartment, bought a Nintendo 3DS portable entertainment system, and played an ungodly amount of Animal Crossing: New Leaf. She truly embraced the lifestyle she wanted to experience, but kept herself in check, as she clearly wanted to return to the workforce.

Not too long before her “vacation” was over, Tsubaki applied at the local highschool, Karakura High, in order to become an independent teacher, and hold her own classes, under her name, alone.
