braydaddy32 (ill be changing it one of these days)

How old are you?:

I am 15 years old.

Do you have any previous bans?:
I have had one ban for refunding a rank, though it was a mistake so I was quickly unbanned.

What country are you from?:
I'm from the United States of America.

Do you have Discord (if so, what is your discord username?):
I do have discord. My username is Mari#3021

Do you understand that most answers are found in the roleplay documents?:
I’m aware that most if not all of the answers are found in roleplay documents.

Do you acknowledge that if you are inactive you will be demoted?:
I’m aware that if I am inactive I will indeed be demoted.

Do you understand that all classroom activity must be documented on the "Teacher Roster" thread?:
I understand that all classroom activities must be documented on the teacher roster thread, though I believe this is outdated and we now have to log our classes in the Karakura Academics discord server. I may be wrong but overall, I understand the concept of logging classes as a whole.
Describe your activity on the server & on the forums?:
On the server, I am usually online for 3-6 hours on weekdays and 6-12 hours on weekends on my main account.

As for the forums I always have it open in a separate tab. I often read threads and occasionally comment on a few. This ensures that I don’t miss any important updates that are posted on the forums and I’ll most likely be one of the first people to see it.

Trivia

What is your motivation for becoming a teacher?:
The reason why I want to be a teacher is that I not only want to help this server grow as a SchoolRP but I also want to progress my character's backstory in ways that I wouldn’t be able to without being a teacher. I’d also like to experience the teaching side of roleplay, I’ve always been a student ever since I joined SchoolRP and I think it’s time for me to step up to the plate and try something new. I also believe that there is a high demand for active teachers but not that many people are applying so I wanted to help the server by being able to create inclusive and engaging classes to get more students active in the school. After all, without teachers, SchoolRP wouldn’t be SchoolRP.

Do you have any experience in Roleplaying?:
I have quite a bit of experience roleplaying both in SRP and outside of it. On SRP, I've roleplayed as a student, a school employee, a forensic scientist, and an adult. I haven't done any sort of teacher roleplay but I'm fairly certain I have enough knowledge to be able to do so. As for outside of SRP, I've roleplayed on medieval servers and I often need to do skits and roleplay for classes I have outside of Minecraft and games in general. I consider myself to have a generally good idea of how to RP properly and what I can and cannot do.

Have you read the Faculty Handbook?:
I have read the faculty handbook and understand it completely even though it was removed a few months ago. I have also read the new teacher documents thoroughly and repeatedly so that I fully understand the concepts that were gone over in those documents.

What are the classroom logs and why is it important?:
Classroom logs are used to record what has happened inside the classroom, its mainly used for logging classes. The logs are important for seeing a teachers activity. Those who are able to view classroom logs such as higher-ups are able to check a teacher’s activity and if they're doing their work correctly. It’s important to see if a teacher is active, as for if they aren’t doing their work correctly, a higher-up can show them how to do so or fire them if they are unable to correctly interpret what they’re teaching, which is done through the logs. The logs are also important so that the teacher can keep track of how many classes they’ve completed that month and be able to determine their strong points and what they need to improve upon. This allows the teachers to reflect upon their previous classes and keep track of their progress as a teacher.

You want to start a school field trip; how do you do that?:
Like teachers outside of roleplay, there is a certain process each teacher has to go through to schedule a field trip. First, you DM Samra (as far as I'm aware) about the field trip, where it would be, what would be learned/the benefits of going, etc. Once all information has been sent, you wait for the approval or decline of the said field trip.

As a teacher, what are the strict rules when being in a class?:
1.) No talking unless told otherwise. Be a chatterbox after school, people come to class to learn not to ask about your plans for next weekend.
2.) No food or drink (water is an exception, along with food for health issues such as Hypoglycemia). Eat at lunch, I don’t want my classroom to be a mess.
3.) Raise your hand if you wish to speak. I'm not running a zoo here.
4.) Phones are to be turned off and away (emergency calls/messages are an exception to this rule). Pay attention, you can play with your phones and text your friends after class.
5.) Violence is not allowed in the classroom. It's common sense.
6.) Do not plagiarize/cheat. Keep your eyes on your own paper and do your own work.
7.) Be prepared. Come to class with materials, participate, etc. If you’re just here to goof off you’ll be removed from my classroom.

If anyone is to break these rules, the consequences will vary. Some disciplinary actions are detention, being kicked out of class, ISS and for major problems suspension and expulsion is a viable option though very unlikely.

Summarize your previous RP experience (both in general and on SchoolRP):
As mentioned in an earlier question I roleplay quite a bit on SRP and outside of it. SRP wise I've roleplayed a few roles, such as a student, a forensic scientist, an assistant nurse (school employee) and as an adult. Outside of SRP I have roleplayed on medieval servers and do skits/plan roleplay scenarios for classes outside of games. These experiences will help me in my teaching journey because it has helped me become well acquainted with roleplaying as many different roles and this is one of the roles that I believe I can take on.

Describe the ranking system of teachers:
- HD:
The HD, also known as the Head of Department. HD’s are heads of the subject they are teaching. Usually, they have the most knowledge in the subject being taught. They keep an eye on QTLS and NQT, often guiding the NQT so they can become a QTLS or HD themselves. HD’s also have to look over plans.
- QTLS:
The QTLS, also known as the Qualified Teacher in Learning and Skills. They are teachers who have more knowledge of teaching. They don’t require as much guidance as to the NQT
- NQT:

The NQT, also known as the Newly Qualified Teacher. The ones who have this position are new teachers that are heavily watched and guided by the HD or other higher-ups. At this stage of teaching, they will be in the process of learning how to approach their lessons and what works best for their students

Teacher Knowledge

Present to us your knowledge about Teachers in-game and out-of-game, what purpose do teachers serve. What salary do they get? Include a paragraph about the way teachers teach, what they do in their spare time in general:

Teachers are one of the key roles to SchoolRP because as I said before, SchoolRP wouldn’t be SchoolRP without teachers because there would be no one to teach the students in the school. SchoolRP would be pointless without teachers and they are extremely important to keep the server up and running for the original purpose of the server. As for teachers salary, I believe they get 150K yen when they complete fifteen classes within a month and for every five extra classes they complete, an extra 50K is added to their monthly paycheck. Also, teachers teach in a personalized way that works best for their students. If hands-on activities work better than paper-pencil assignments, a teacher is to be teaching more hands-on activities to ensure that the students understand the subject and information they are being presented with. Whatever works best for the teacher and the students is usually the way that teachers teach, usually this is different for every teacher. Lastly, teachers use their spare time to plan classes or help direct students to private tutors or even help a student after a lesson when a private tutor isn’t available. Although teachers have lives and live just like any other person, they are also responsible to use their spare time to schedule their classes and plan ahead of time. This also includes helping students or even helping other co-workers.

Why are teachers important to a SchoolRP server?:
As I stated many times before, the reason why teachers are so important to SchoolRP is that without the teacher role, the school would be inactive and quite boring because there would be no classes. The school would be useless because it’d have no educational value. The point of a school is educating the younger generations but if there are no educators the school loses its purpose. If the school has no purpose that means that the RP server as a whole has no purpose and that’s why the teacher role is extremely important to SRP.

What lesson planning system does the school work on?:
Karakura Highschool uses the MoSCo system, this stands for “Must have, Should have, Could have” Though this might be outdated because this information used to be in the faculty handbook which was removed not too long ago and replaced with different documents that don’t discuss the lesson planning system.

Character Knowledge

Tell us everything you know about the character you will be playing in a few paragraphs. How does he look like? What makes him unique and different? What is his outlook on Students? What about the other teachers? What is his personality like? What is his plan for the future?:

Shiori Hoshino would be of average height standing at 5’3”. She would have soft medium length brown hair along with bright hazel eyes. Her clothing consisted of a yellow cardigan underneath being a white blouse and a red ribbon. For bottoms, she would wear a black skirt with black stockings and black shoes. Shiori is typically a calm and quiet figure which causes many to think she’s timid and shy. Despite this observation of how she normally acts, there are circumstances in which she is outspoken and speaks her mind freely. During these circumstances, words simply fall out of her mouth which succeeds in embarrassing her at times. Shiori cares immensely for students and often goes out of her way to show that. Spending 6-7 hours with students 5 days a week has made her think of the students as her children if she were to have any. Like many other teachers, she looks forward to teaching the future generation with her knowledge and will ensure the students’ well being. As for other teachers and co-workers, she views them with both admiration and the occasional jealousy. Shiori strives to be the best teacher she can be and due to that, she finds herself mimicking the acts of the co-workers she looks up to. With admiration comes jealousy when she strives to become better and then sees someone else she believes does better than her she is filled with envy. While this emotion can be seen as bad, it actually makes Shiori work harder so she can win against her self-proclaimed rival. Shiori plans to stay a teacher until retirement. While other dreams may come her way, she will always be drawn to teaching in a classroom. As of now, teaching is her main focus.

Scenarios

You find a gang of delinquents in the hallway cursing and swearing, what do you do?:

I would first give them a verbal warning, telling them that if they don’t stop they’d be given detention. If this continues I would then assign the delinquents detention and if they don’t attend detention they’d be suspended from the school for a certain period of time.

No one in your class is listening to a word you say, what do you do?:
I would first tell them to be quiet and be seated or there would be consequences. If this continues I’d begin to remove the most disruptive students from the class to show the other students that if they continued they’d also be removed or given a punishment.

When in the teacher's lounge, how does your character act?:
My character acts professional and calm in the teachers' lounge and this allows them to easily talk to their co-workers and plan lessons with their fellow co-workers that teach the same subject. They would keep a normal tone of voice and would be able to speak openly and easily about their opinions on the current state of the school in meetings if they are held.

Provide at least 5 detailed /me's of your character inside a classroom:
/me She would walk around the classroom, looking over students shoulders to check their work.

/me She would turn around to face the chalkboard with chalk in one hand and a lesson plan in the other. She quickly began writing instructions down for the assignment.

/me She would point to a student raising their hand in the back row, signaling for them to give their comment or ask a question.

/me She briskly walked over to the classroom door, switching off the lights to get the rowdy class’s attention

/me She sat silently at the side of the room, writing something down as the student gave their presentation.

Backstory
Shiori Hoshino was born on September 3rd, 1994 in Karakura, Japan. Shiori grew up an only child with a widowed father as her mother had died of illness some years later. Due to having no siblings and her father working as an English teacher at the local high school to support them she grew lonely at times. When she was around 7 she had found a cure to that ache in her chest, literature. She loved reading and writing with a burning passion and even had the highest reading level in her elementary class. When she was in middle school this passion continued. One day, a couple of boys in her English class were going off about how reading was “boring” and how much they’d rather be somewhere else. The teacher was about to scold them when Shiori jumped out of her seat and stomped up to the males' desks, proceeding to go on a rant about how literature was “epic” and how reading was “essential to learning.” even going off about how dumb she thought they were. This surprised herself and many others as she was usually seen as the quiet bookworm. Both she and the classmates who had been whining had been sent to the office for being a disruption to the class. Shiori thought of this as worth-it despite being punished. In high school, this passion remained. During this time many students choose what they want to do for the rest of their lives. Shiori had known exactly what she wanted to be, an English teacher. She had worked hard to receive the top marks, studying for tests for hours on end and doing assignments as soon as she got them. Eventually, she graduated high school and soon after went off to college. As she was a diligent student, getting through it would be a piece of cake. After four years she had graduated and earned her bachelor's degree. Now, Shiori awaits being accepted as an English teacher at Karakura Highschool.
