Do you have any previous bans?:
No I haven't been banned on this server nor any other offenses.

What Country are you from?:
I'm from the United States.

Do you have Discord (if so, what is your discord username?):
Yes, it is Sasspai#8614

Do you understand that most answers are found in the roleplay documents?:
Yes, I understand and have done some digging through them prior to applying.

Do you acknowledge that if you are inactive you will be demoted?:
Yes, I understand that my activity does affect my position as a teacher.

Do you understand that all classroom activity must be documented on the "Teacher Roster" thread?:
Yes, I understand. Although, from what I've seen around this may be outdated information and there now is a discord channel for such things? Regardless I understand and am willing to do both if required.

Describe your activity on the server & on the forums?:
On the server, I've averaged about 8-10 hours a day depending on what I have going on personally that day. I spend a lot of time in the school trying to talk to people, practicing for sports tryouts, or in the shops. On the forums, I haven't said much, but I do often read threads that come up on the forum activity channel just to see what's going on. If something is posted that I feel like I can contribute to then I will.

Trivia

What is your motivation for becoming a teacher?:
With as many people as we get daily, it would be beneficial to have more teachers available for more classes. I feel motivated to become a teacher because it allows me to be an adult, while also still involved in the academics. I've been a student for such a long time on this server that I would like to pursue something more.

Do you have any experience in Roleplaying?:
I was a teacher/admin on a popular Harry Potter server for roughly 4 years. Until recent years their classroom structure was very similar to how SRP classes function. Aside from that, I have been involved in many smaller roleplay servers where I usually hold a leadership or teaching position of some sort. On SRP specifically, I haven't been greatly impacting the server as I used to see this place as where I can be casual and just talk to people without holding any position over them.

Have you read the Faculty Handbook?:
I've read the Teacher/School Staff COC thoroughly.

What are the classroom logs and why is it important?:
Classroom logs are just recordings of your class time, content, and other information to basically prove that you're doing your job and doing it properly. It's important to have them so that teachers work is being accounted for and that someone isn't holding a role just to be inactive or to create misconduct with their classes.

You want to start a school field trip; how do you do that?:
You need to contact the Principal/Vice-Principal prior to the field trip and give an explanation on what you'll be doing, where you'll be going, and for how long you'll be gone. Only if it's approved can you go through with it.

As a teacher, what are the strict rules when being in a class?:

  • Raise your hand if you have things to ask or an answer to a question
  • Be respectful to everyone in the class no matter their status.
  • Come to class prepared.
  • Remain in your seat unless instructed otherwise.
  • You are responsible for doing your part to not become a disturbance for the other students' opportunity to learn. If you become a distraction you will be subject to removal.
Summarize your previous RP experience's (both in general and on SchoolRP):
During my time on the HP server (Can give name via DMs if needed) I taught various subjects and would often try to create more interactive lesson plans daily to ensure that they were not only educational but fun! The classroom structures were similar to that of SRP, which is nice. Recently on an Avatar server, I was responsible for teaching Airbenders how to master their element and the cultural history of the people. I feel as though these gave me a lot of teaching experience as well as patience with those who are a bit slower at learning. As I stated on a previous answer, I came to SRP for a long time as an escape for my more serious roles so my experience on this server has just been hanging out, going to classes, and relaxing. Recently I've been branching out and trying to get more involved in sports in-game!

Describe the ranking system of teachers:
- HD: The Head Department staff are the ones who overlook their specific subject and the teachers who all teach within that subject. The HD is there to make sure everything within their specific department is running smoothly as well as also being an excellent teaching example in their own classes.

- QTLS: The Qualified Teachers in Learning Skills are like a higher tier NQT. These teachers have been in the teaching game for some time and can use that knowledge to run their classes efficiently with little to no help from the higher-ups. These teachers can also be seen helping the NQT find their bearings in their new environment.

- NQT: The Newly Qualified Teachers are those who lack teaching experience at the school and will often be guided by or need permission from the HD or QTLS. Being the lowest teaching tier the NQT is responsible for their students as well as making sure they're maintaining their new standards set by their HD

Teacher Knowledge

Present to us your knowledge about Teachers in-game and out-of-game, what purpose do teachers serve. What salary do they get? Include a paragraph about the way teachers teach, what they do in their spare time in general.
Teachers are responsible for creating classes for the many students who attend on a daily basis as well as maintaining order within the school in and outside of the classroom. Teachers make 150,000 yen per month if they manage to teach their required 15 classes and additional money if they exceed this. The way teachers run their classes is, of course, varied by who is teaching and which subject they teach, although generally, they will follow a similar setup. A teacher will announce a class prior to the bell for a certain period rings, and once it does they will start it. Once students have all entered and settled the teacher will greet everyone and try to get their attention, and it is during this time that they'll perhaps start helping students find empty seats or explain what kind of things will be discussed that day. Once the introductions are over the teacher will give their lecture or hand out their assignments and during this, there might be students raising hands so they may stop to answer questions. This goes on until the class ends depending on what is specifically planned. During their spare time, a teacher may be in the halls making sure students aren't misbehaving or writing up lesson plans!

Why are teachers important to a SchoolRP server?:
The teachers on SRP are a very important piece in what keeps the server going so successfully. Without classes there wouldn't be RP content throughout the school day and students would have less opportunity to thrive and progress as characters.

What lesson planning system does the school work on?:
From what I can see it is the MoSCo, which stands for: Must Have, Should Have, Could Have

Character Knowledge

Tell us everything you know about the character you will be playing in a few paragraphs. How does she look like? What makes her unique and different? What is her outlook on Students? What about the other teachers? What is her personality like? What is her plan for the future?

Appearance:
My character is a tall young woman with a slender build. Junko has short, choppy black hair and chocolate brown eyes under lowly set eyelids. Her eyes and general professional expression makes people often see her as a mean or generally cold person. Junko also has a low sultry voice with a slight rasp to it that, if accompanied by her professional comments in the workplace, can intimidate some. Her clothing is usually black clothing with a pop of color, of course, nothing too revealing.

Uniqueness:
Junko wasn't originally from Japan and the school structures she was trained within is a lot more strict, thus she has no time for typical nonsense. Despite her seemingly cold nature she was known to be much less serious and really fun in her younger years. She even was an idol in training for some time until she received an injury during gym class.

Students:
Junko views students as potential waiting to be something incredible. When there are students who do all that they can to be disruptive or just not try, it becomes heartbreaking for her, but she refuses to give up on them after they've learned their lesson for the disruptiveness.

Teachers:
Junko feels that the other teachers are doing a great service and honestly wishes to become friends with them outside of school hours. There are some teachers, she feels an urge to instruct on how to be more stern with their students, but she remains quiet about it because of how they conduct their class is their business as long as they're not breaking rules.

Personality:
Though most assume by the many telling signs that this person is just mean and cold, Junko is actually a very kind and energetic person when her work isn't directly involved. Junko loves fashion and often comes to school in various name-brand outfits each day of the week. Her heavily described mean face is often carried with a confident smile and a strut outside of class.

Future:
Junko plans to teach language study for at least 20 more years at the school before moving to a more risky job change. Though at the moment she isn't sure what that job would be, she has been leaning towards fashion design as it would be a good use of her skills.

Scenarios

You find a gang of delinquents in the hallway cursing and swearing, what do you do?:

Step in the middle of the conflict and ask the students one time to mind themselves in the school. I'd ask that whatever conflict that's going on be dismissed by everyone going their separate ways or reporting the others to the proper authority. If the conflict continues I'll involve higher faculty to deal with the issue properly.

No one in your class is listening to a word you say, what do you do?:
At this point, I'll have to raise my voice and remind the students that failure to pay attention in the class will result in failure and possible punishment for the disrespect of staff.

When in the teacher's lounge, how does your character act?:
In the teachers lounge she might be one to make small talk about some students, maybe something that's circulating in the news, but other than that she will be focused on writing her lesson plans.

Provide at least 5 detailed /me's of your character inside a classroom:

/me approaches the board and writes the word 'Willkommen' before turning to the students with a smile on her face
/me scans the room of eagerly raised hands with a pleased expression, and points to [student] to come up
/me approaches the desk of the students talking during the lesson and taps on the desk repeatedly until they quiet down
/me grows frustrated with the multiple disturbances and approaches [student] to personally guide them out of the classroom
/me sighs upon hearing the bell ring, she turns to her class and offers a small wave as they all pack up to leave

Backstory
Junko was born in Berlin as a result of her mother studying abroad there from Japan and meeting her father. Due to the nature of their relationship, Junko's grandfather forced her mother to move back to Japan and leave Junko and her father in Germany. Throughout the majority of her life, Junko had a distant relationship with her mother because she chose to leave instead of stay and fight for her family. Junko would spend two years at a time living with either parent. During the years with her father, she was more dedicated to her studies and trying to be the best she could, and this dedication leads to her being one of the top students in her school. When Junko was living with her mother she was often being rebellious and focusing more on fun things. When she was 16 she was trying out being an idol for a time until one attack on the school field by a jealous girl caused her to damage her leg and disqualify her.

After her incident, she decided she wanted to remain in Germany and further her studies, find out what it really is that she wanted to do with her life. Junko realized she was really only happiest when she was in school and that she felt a greater connection to the teachers she had than any of the other students. On a mere whim, she looked into what it would take to become a teacher herself and luckily she found the perfect schooling very close to home. Before school started, however, she decided to work part-time as a tutor to really solidify that this was the job for her. To her surprise, Junko was very good at tutoring others and fell in love with the happy faces of the students once they finally understood their work.

By the time Junko was 18, she had received news that her grandfather had fallen ill and with this came his blessing for her parents to finally marry so she and her father moved to Japan to stay with her mother. Still being angry with her mothers' decisions, Junko as an adult moved back to Germany for college. There she worked as a teaching assistant until she graduated and became an elementary teacher. Junko was working in this position for some time and very happy with it. There was no intention of leaving until she got even more disturbing news that her mother had also fallen ill. She decided she should move back to Japan to care for her mother and not let her anger allow her to miss out on being with her family.

Now she has arrived in Karakura with hope in her heart and an eagerness to teach. She was last seen approaching a high school with her resume and application in hand and the fierce confidence of a dragon.
