The Dark Web of Karakura

The Dark Web
The dark web is the World Wide Web content that exists on dark networks, overlay networks that use the Internet but require specific software, configurations or authorization to access. The dark web forms a small part of the deep web, the part of the Web not indexed by web search engines, although sometimes the term deep web is mistakenly used to refer specifically to the dark web.

The dark networks which constitute the dark web include small, friend-to-friend peer-to-peer networks, as well as large, popular networks like A.N.N., operated by public organizations and individuals. Users of the dark web refer to the regular web as Clearnet due to its unencrypted nature. A.N.N. is currently the only accessible area of the Dark Web to users of Karakura. According to reports, there is a rigorous "background check" which has the users weeded out, and only known gang members or allies of the managers of A.N.N. accepted. It is also very well encrypted, so local police have had no success thus far in infiltrating it's firewalls and sourcecodes. Furthermore, you can apparently be referred as a "Blacklisted User" by the managers of A.N.N, your account and IP permanently banned from the site itself.

Duxcoin services
Duxcoin services such as tumblers are often available on A.N.N., and some – such as A.N.N. – offer dark web market integration.A research study undertaken by Jean-Loup Richet, a research fellow at ESSEC, and carried out with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, highlighted new trends in the use of Duxcoin tumblers for money laundering purposes. A common approach was to use a digital currency exchange service which converted Duxcoin into an online game currency (such as gold coins in World of Warcraft) that will later be converted back into money.

Hacking groups and services
Many hackers sell their services either individually or as a part of groups. Such groups include D3DSect0r, Trododge, Kaiser and the TheRealDeal dark web market. Some have been known to track and extort apparent *********s. Cyber crimes and hacking services for financial institutions and banks have also been offered over the Dark web. Attempts to monitor this activity have been made through various government and private organizations, and an examination of the tools used can be found in the Procedia Computer Science journal. Use of Internet-scale DNS Distributed Reflection Denial of Service (DRDoS) attacks have also been made through leveraging the Dark Web. There are many scam dark web sites also present which end up giving tools for download that are infected with trojan horse or backdoor. The only clue that police have found is a string of numbers and letters which we have luckily aquired; these exact codes, and an image.

Please be cautious in your investigation.
