School Employee Role you are Applying For:
Teaching-assistant

How often do you log onto the server?:
Whenever I'm free, this consists of constant engagement during my free time.
Schooldays: 8:00-9:15AM [then go to school] 3:00-10:10PM
Days off: 9:00AM-10:30PM
I do take breaks sometimes, though they are brief.

Do you have discord?
Yes, can be found from the main discord or here: Zida#9695 ! I am up for chats, questions, information, commissions or anything else. I respond as swiftly as possible.

Do you have a microphone?
Yes! All my devices have a functioning and understandable quality microphone.

Have you ever been banned, If yes when and why?:
I have never been banned, warned or kicked by a staff member. Only kicks for AFK, most of which are by accident. I've never really been told off either except for small misunderstandings.

Can you ensure that you will often come on:
I can ensure my time on the server will be frequent and thorough as it has been since I joined, I love SRP and developing my different characters to have unique qualities and SRP really helps with that. I have and do dedicate alot of my time to the server and try to contribute to the community along with my activity. Even when inactive in the game, it is still very easy to contact me either through disc or on the forums as I am very likely to respond unless in school.

Do you recognise that you can be ICly fired?:
I acknowledge that failure to abide by guidelines, rules and stick to the given schedule [in my case helping in classes] that I will receive warnings until an eventual fire and this will cause me to lose my position. I have grown a lot as a person while on SRP and believe while understanding this I can continue to seriousRP and keep the role well.

In as much detail as possible, describe the role of your chosen school employee:
A teaching assistant is a very necessary role to have within a school, especially more mainstream schools [like the high-school in Karakura] as while the teacher is the host of all the information in the class, the teaching assistant can help keep the class calm, support students individually in work so instead of only the teacher covering almost 30 students you can have two, dividing responsibilities easier. Using fearRP a teaching assistant can keep a closer eye on the children than the teacher [who has to focus on the entire class] this can help with loud students or those who won't pay attention, they can also help out give out work and support the teacher in examples or other activities, which may require them. Their role isn't as high as a teacher, though they still gain access to some resource to at least support the teachers and students and are generally quite important despite their lower status in the education system.

Do you have any past experience in this type of roleplay?:
I have had teaching experience, though i believe this could count to my experience in assisting with such teaching. Other than this, my character, Mieka has five adoptive children and regularly takes care of them - giving her quite a unique view into the care of students and unique personalities each of them possess. Out of SRP, I have other experience roleplaying around students [preformed literately]. This is all I currently have, though I am sure with my experience I can adjust.

What experience, in general, do you have in roleplay?:
This is my eighth or ninth year of being in different roleplay communities, and I have been in SRP since early November 2019. Having experience in both, I believe I understand the rules quite well and know how to perform different actions while portraying many different characters, I've been developing different unique personalities for years along with my roleplaying and I believe my long term knowledge helps me aim high with in the community, this along with quite a lot of people knowing me.

Are you familiar with what your job does? If so, describe it:
I am familiar with the job and it's duties, along with being happy to do more research if this is necessary. I attempt to do research before applying to make sure I am able to fulfil jobs quickly and effectively as these things are important if you are to keep a position as important as staffing in a school.
As a teaching assistant you will support in class and after class duties, in class you will manage behaviour, support the work of teachers and students, keep behaviour in check, make sure the transition into the lesson is smooth, give more one on one support to stuck students, give advice. These are all a few of the things a teaching assistant will achieve during class, though out of class they also fulfil tasks that support the school, these include: Assisting with grading, such as homework, keep records of students who have been acting awry, keeping students safe and ensure behaviour in the corridors, lead students to classes to help the transition period and supporting other staff who may be new to the school. A combination of all these things shows a clear importance to the role, which I believe I can fulfil, especially with past experiences.

[Situations]

During a work shift a student starts cursing at you for being pathetic, how do you react?:
The first thing and most sensible is to remain calm and collected, acting out can only escalate a situation. Kindly warning them of the consequences to their actions I will ask them what's wrong and if I can support them. If this is in an active class I will be sure to deescalate the situation or draw the student aside to prevent it causing issues to the class. If their behaviour persists after warnings and me asking if I can assist I will continue to become more serious [intending to produce a more of a fearRP reaction from them] and then call a higher up member of staff like a teacher or VP, reporting the students foul behaviour.

You are doing a hazardous job requested by the School Principal, how do you react?:
While in a school, the students happiness and safety is key; I will first double check for anyone who may be more accustomed to the task to see if they can complete it in a safer way than I, though if I am the only staff member available and it is urgent I will act with care. This will begin with a check of the situation, running things through quickly before acting. Through the procedure I will double check, while still ensuring my actions would be swift and not create any harm to students - once done, I will pack away any equipment, doing a final run over of the situation to make sure it's been handled appropriately and advise a person more suitable to check over the area once they're free again.

Another school employee is doing something very dangerous on the job or acting out of order, how do you react?:
As with a student, I would stay calm as emotional people tend not to think - and if they are concentrating on a dangerous task it could end up harmful to distract them. I will first ask if they need assistance, if yes I will assist them or bring someone qualified to do so to them. I will keep them out of harms way and away from students if they are acting awry to keep the students in a position where they still feel safe despite the situation. While deescalating, offer tips and support to the staff while supporting them and reporting the incident if something harmful occurred.
Through the situation show resilience and a sign that you won't give up on the person and make sure to keep the children safe.

[IC section]
Applicant Name:

Yumi 'Mieka' Fonseca

Chosen Job:
Teaching-Assistant

Motivation for Joining KHS:
My motivation for joining the education department in this high-school is my pride and joy I have in my children, despite only recently becoming a mother I have gained experience in childcare and want to help many other children other than my own receive the education that they deserve while feeling they are in a safe environment. As a child I was picked on and felt isolated, in applying for this job i hope to help other children who may feel emotionally or academically weak feel brave enough to step into the wider world after school and complete their education with pride. I've worked with children most of my life and love supporting them and helping them complete work, keeping them in good shape and happy. I believe supporting a teacher to care for the students would be the perfect position for me and many others to be happy, these are my main motivations, though I am also very enthusiastic about what I can bring to children's futures.

Age (Minimum age is 25):
30

Why should you be accepted over the other applicants?:
I believe that I should be accepted over applicants as I am reserved and well-mannered, with years of experience and a mother myself. I have good communication, patience, resilience and I think as an assistant i can support classes in a more positive way than others. Despite my frequent kind and welcoming act I am able to act under pressure and become serious if students are acting poorly or out of line, working with my own children I realise I know how to apply punishments and how to deal with poor behaviour. I'm good at planning and I am very forward-thinking in my work, planning ahead is something I do often and I am able to manage my time well - with these skills in mind I think my unique experience as a single mother and other qualities with past experience can bring me to being a good assistant to work for the KHS. I have received a full and high quality education, also.
