Explain your activity on the Server:
When it comes to server activity, I tend to be an active player. I log on almost every day at around 8-9 PM every day but I can be online much earlier if needed. My schedule is a bit of a tight one due to school and such but I’m very much able to bend this schedule if I need to. As someone applying for the SRP Event Team, I understand that a lot of dedication and time must be put into it, hence I’m willing to make as much time as possible for the team.

What previous experience do you have working in a team?:

Personally, I’ve been part of a lot of teams outside of SRP. Some of these teams are: An administration team that is responsible for creating events and generally keep the community going for a nation-simulation roleplay discord server (Has been disbanded). I was also part of small build teams that are mainly players who enjoy building together and not to be hired.

When it comes to being a team member of an SRP team, I’ve never been a part of an official SRP Team like the Lore Team or the Event Team. However, I’ve been part of the Journalist Club which you can technically consider a team due to how little people were in it, yet it was quite active and was always producing for the community. The Journalist Team did rely a lot on SRP Events so I’ve been involved with the Event Team before. Another team I am currently part of is the “Hospital Event Team”. The Hospital Event Team is a team created by the EMS Staff that is responsible for making different themed-events inside the EMS. I’ve already planned and participated in the Halloween event with the other members and we’re currently planning a Christmas-themed event and other events in the future. I’m generally very used to working in teams and I’m also able to work alone if I have to. However, I believe that I’m much more creative and productive when I’m able to brainstorm and bounce ideas with other team members in order to create something for the whole server to enjoy.

What makes you different from other applicants:

I believe what makes me different and outstanding from my fellow applicants is my incomparable dedication and commitment to anything I am part of. I have a good habit of staying committed to anything I am involved in and/or have a responsibility in. I believe this habit is one that is perfectly fitting for a team such as the Event Team.

Creating good events for the server is a big responsibility and effort as it’s the main thing that keeps the server interesting and fun for all the community. Hence, it requires hard work, passion for what you do, and constant motivation to create and do more for the SRP community. I believe I personally have all these different traits and when I truly put my heart and soul into creating something, I tend to produce something very enjoyable for everyone.

Provide a detailed event proposal that would be seen by the Event-Team:

Let’s begin with the interesting part of the application. . .

《 EVENT IDEA #1: Karakura Street Racing 》

About this event: Street Racing has been part of Japan for the longest time possible. It reached its apex around the 1980s and 1990s. The end of the 90s marked an end to the golden era of Street Racing in Tokyo, Japan but it still strives in other parts of Japan. One of these parts is our beloved Karakura. A group of 6 individuals has gathered together in order to revive the era of Street Racing and bring something fun to the city during the winter season. With their fancy sports cars and racing overalls, they gather near the school gates revving their engines announcing the beginning of the race. (This event will either take part after school or during midnight, preferably midnight)

/event’s:

If done after school: /event [!] Loud car engine revving can be heard near the school gates. [!]

If done at midnight: /event [!] You’d receive a notification on your phone from an unknown number; “We’re waiting for you at the school gates!” [!]

Requirements:

⚫ Racers - [0/6] | Each racer would wear racing overalls in different colors to match their cars. These players should be extremely trusted players who can carry out the event well.

⚫ News Helicopter - [0/2] | This would consist of two staff members; one doing /event to update the players on how the race is going, and the other staff member recording the race while flying in vanish.

⚫ Flagmen - [0/3] | A flagman is a person who usually signals to begin a race. Basically, we’d have three young girls (Preferably trusted cheerleaders) and they’d hold a flag and as soon as the race begins, they wave it to signal to the drivers to go.

⚫ Race officials/referees - [0/1] | Again, a very trusted player to monitor the race and make sure everything is going smoothly, and of course, determine the winner.

⚫ Auctioneer - [0/3] | I’d like to make this event something players can interact with and make money off as opposed to just staring at racing cars so I’ll add the option to bet on different drivers and win money at the end if they win.

⚫ Commentators - [0/?] | This can be decided by the owner himself.

The Event in Action:

It would be better if we had this event in a different server (The event server) as opposed to the SRP server to make planning a bit easier without any players. Basically, each one of the six racers gets to choose a car to race with. Then matching overalls. We’d have a route around the city which they will race on (I sadly couldn’t find an aerial map of the city to draw a route). Then, the flagmen can learn to do a little dance or something to start the race. I’m sure the cheerleaders can do something good.

Commentators are going to start commentating on the event through a live video hosted by a server staff member. The referee is going to ready himself in his position, signaling to the racers to get into their cars. At this point, we’d open the server to the public and allow players to begin spectating. We’d have barriers around the roads and sidewalks to prevent anyone from jumping into the race track and interrupt the race. We’d have auctioneers sitting at little booths for players to go up to and bet on different racers.

Obstacles are to be added to the race track in order not to make it too easy and unenjoyable. These can be simple boxes around the street or blocked off ways where racers have to find alternative routes to continue the race. The racer who wins the race gets a grand prize of 1 million yen. And of course, those who bet will get double their money. This race will be a legal race so KPD does not have to interfere in any way nor do the EMS.

❇ Additional Notes: This event can easily have a plot twist such as a car crash or instead of cars we can have Go-Karts which I believe can also be very fun to drive. Also, the bidding part of the event is optional. It’s only there so the event isn’t fully just an event to watch and not participate in.

《 EVENT IDEA #2: The Karakura Tsunami 》
About this Event: Japan is widely known for its numerous floods and tsunamis. A tsunami is a series of extremely long waves caused by a large and sudden displacement of the ocean, usually the result of an earthquake below or near the ocean floor. This force creates waves that radiate outward in all directions away from their source, sometimes crossing entire ocean basins. One day, a tsunami begins to form at the beach of Karakura. It’s not noticeable at first but it soon starts to grow in size and is much much more noticeable. The Karakura News quickly rushes to report this disaster and it’s playing on every TV in Karakura. People begin running for their lives. . .

/event’s: /event [!] News would broadcast on the TV: ATTENTION ALL KARAKURA CITIZENS. WE’RE RECEIVING BREAKING NEWS OF A TSUNAMI FORMING AT THE BEACH. SEEK SHELTER IMMEDIATELY AND REFRAIN FROM GOING OUTSIDE [!]

/event [!] You’d receive a notification on your phone: ATTENTION ALL KARAKURA CITIZENS. WE’RE RECEIVING BREAKING NEWS OF A TSUNAMI FORMING AT THE BEACH. SEEK SHELTER IMMEDIATELY AND REFRAIN FROM GOING OUTSIDE [!]

Requirements:

⚫ Server Staff [0/?] | This event will require most of the staff members for it to be successful and enjoyable for all. Further explanation below.

⚫ A plugin | Further explanations below.

The Event in Action:

This event will mainly be like a mini-game event. It won’t affect the lore of Karakura in any way but will purely be for entertainment purposes. This event will be done on a different server similar to the event above. We’d have the exact same map of Karakura, put all the players in it as if it’s a normal day on the actual SRP server, then do the /event’s. Once the event commands have been executed, Water would start to rise at the beach, beginning to form a tsunami.

A plugin is hopefully going to be coded where every period of time, the water level will rise by one block. The players have to work together to find locations on the map to stay above the water, to not drown. They have to use their knowledge of the map to find a safe area where they won’t be touched by the tsunami. To prevent players from instantly going to really high areas like a Tower or the mountains, we’d have all the doors to these places completely shut. Either nailed down or can’t be opened due to water pressure. As for the mountain, we’d say that the rising water levels have caused some rocks to become unstable at the mountain, hence making it unclimbable.

Players are not going to have any food but they will occasionally find broken vending machines from which they can gather food from. They’d try their best to reserve this food in order to not starve too. Teamwork and Intelligence is the key to this event. Selfishness and quick acts with no thought will lead to inevitable death. Players who survive through the whole event and survive the tsunami as a whole will be rewarded with yen or special items.

As a Japanese person myself, I find the idea of a "Karakura Tsunami" really disrespectful and not thoughtful towards those who have experienced it. I understand this thread was from January, but I must say I was rather shocked when I read this right now. Japanese people are traumatized from the March 11 earthquake and tsunami that happened a couple years ago, keep this out of a game and think better next time before using a traumatic tragedy and image as a fun "event".

First of all, I'd like to apologize for the inconvenience. I didn't really think it would offend anyone as it was meant to be an event for a roleplay server that players were supposed to participate in not get offended by. I personally had no intentions of harm but only provide an event prompt for the server.

Second of all, I want to say that I usually don't follow what happens in Japan very often. I was not aware of there being tsunamis happening in Japan these days and personally not knowing any Japanese people in my life, I didn't think it would have been offensive to them. I have never lived in Japan myself to experience the trauma people have to go through cause of these horrible events but I assumed that Japan is a very modern country and had already found a way to put tsunamis under control and no longer consider them a problem for the people of Japan. I'm wrong for assuming this, I should've done more research about the topic and I promise to be more thoughtful with my ideas next time. Sorry again!
