suggestion- chars on teams

Right, however my point is that captains should still be able to choose, based off of judgement, and unbiased opinion, though there is no way to really enforce that. If someone had gotten kicked off for two reckless driving charges, nobody would look at them like they were a 'monster', or an overall bad person that should be barred from participating in sports. I do believe that this suggestion should be put in place to a degree, however it would be more work for the school staff to keep track of who can/cannot participate in sports based off of the severity of crimes commited. That is why I believe that it simply will not work. If it were put into place, sports would lose a good deal of active decent roleplayers due to unintentional reasons.
and yes i agree with this partially, i think if the rules are applied they should be applied of all teams, it also may come across as biased and it may be good to give a new player the opportunity to RP in a team rather than have the same person, after committing or being kicked off

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUGGEST OR MENTION:
At the moment the rules for teams are as so:
[IC] Team Suspension - x3
Arrested - x2
Expelled - x1

But my suggestion is, If your character was on a team and get kicked off for being in jail, that character shouldn't be allowed to try out for the team again. This may be controversial, yes but, the reason behind this is because your character would have built up a reputation- it also may come across as biased if your character was to get accepted again after many jails or whatever you may have been kicked off the team for.
It would also open up more chances for NEW members to be able to get on the team as well as implement the rules that already exist even more, so that team characters follow the rules, and if not they run the risk of that character not being allowed to tryout again.

If wanting any more information on this suggestion feel free to dm me - cre#3040

-Makes it near impossible to play a character who isn't morally upstanding. Say I am playing a character who has anger management that would mean I would need to seriously restrict any RP that is remotely illegial if I don't want to be forced to change characters which is bad as you end up making decisions based off of saving your own skin rather then doing the decision your character would realistically do.
-"Making room for new players." I think sidelining the experience of someone who has earnt that rank just to meet some type of quota is awful. The only reason tryouts should happen is when the previous member is the one who suggested to leave. Cycling players out because they simply want to play daring characters isnt cool. + there are teams who are always in need of players so if you really want to join a team so bad may I suggest female hs basketball.

Chances should be given out fairly and not in ways that make current players have to look over their shoulder every 2 seconds to make sure nobody is going to target them etc.

I'd also like to quote @SentinelPrime as I pretty much agree with him 100%

Except that I think it should have nothing to do with school staff and that enforcement should be handled by the captain as they know the players considerably better then somebody who made a 700 word application.

I also dont think new players should get sport team roles, they should be dedicated to people who are exceptional rpers. However new players can apply and be accepted if they reach these standards. (Just like it is now.)

Your whole "new player scheme" seems like useless quota pushing which I also completely disagree with as these ranks should be given and maintained by exceptional rpers regardless of how many times you've been arrested. Talent over diversity.

+ we cant murder because we cant gangrp meaning any serious serious crimes are impossible. Plus anything major is already a instant kick.

It's as easy as not getting arrested while being on a team. Even failure to pay a fine is directly the team member's fault; It's okay to be annoying ICly, but there's a line between that and breaking the law, which IRL has serious consequences

You can get arrested for things as small as kicking a bin or graffiti on college equipment which is essential to jockrp

I understand what you are saying but, I think if you do the crime you should do it KNOWING that this possible threat could happen, if you put this in a realistic situation if you got arrested you would more than likely just get expelled from school, and you may be seen as a threat towards other students depending on the crime you have done, And yes I get that captain may have the responsibility to decide who is on the team but the same rules should apply to all teams, it also gives MORE opportunities for people to be on sports teams and gain the new RP experiences rather than having the same person on the team multiple times

It seems like you just dont trust captains to do their jobs properly, which at least in my team he is going over and beyond to keep ic consistency.

i was a captain, but it isn't due to captains, its more due to the rules in which when i was a captain i witnessed and realised it may work more efficiently if this was changed and so i put in the suggestion :))

As captain you can kick people out if someone breaches a major offense. Aka if I were to murder someone icly and if they knew about it then my character would be off the team immediately. I don't see how that is not enough? Also I dont think most people in karakura care. This isn't a white American nuclear family town in the '50s and no one icly trys to pretend otherwise.

ok- I get captain can just kick off people whenever, but the reason I mainly suggested this is I would apply these rules as captain, which seemed fair it gave more people the chance to try out and made the scenario more realistic, I also didn't want to come off as biased when accepting people onto the team, but yes i get it at the moments its the captains choice

idont think u understand. team members cant even get weapons .. . or kill someone???? how on earth will they get arrested for a major crime. it'll just enforce goody-two-shoes characters even more n everyone would avoid making their character like an antagonist bcz of it (which would dry up rp)

Remember when football players were hitmen? Good times, but still, it is possible to jockrp without getting arrested, it’s called not getting caught. If you get caught breaking the law, oh well to bad so sad, you’re out. You don’t have to be a goody two shoes or a saint to not break the law(or again not getting caught), and more interesting rp actually comes from skirting that fine line. Still, as the sang goes, play stupid games win stupid prizes.

So reviewing this thread and suggestions in the comments. Now I can see were he’s coming from so perhaps not being accepted back after a few arrest (2-4) but make a exception for 1 arrest. Now you may say what the crime was a severe crime, well the thing is as a sports players you aren’t allowed to do major crimes. There essentially blacklisted from GangRPing for that account only. Once you reach your 2nd to 3rd and you want to still do sports, just make a new character. That reminds me, don’t make past characters, affect new characters when it comes to be accepting and denied of sports teams.

it's not getting arrests people can get kicked from the teams to and as my time as baseball captain i did witness people getting arrested and OOC warns and IC for different stuff in which would happen on other teams too. i do understand that team charters can not USE weapons
