What is your motivation for applying?:

I have three main motivations for becoming a police officer; dealing with serious situations in the KPD, befriending the current officers, and having a new roleplay experience. Firstly, being able to learn how the KPD deals with serious situations. When I started playing SchoolRP, I was always interested in how the KPD operates. A good example would be the store robbery a month or two ago. There was a hostage situation with the store owner, and police showed up immediately. This was a serious and scary situation in role play, and fortunately police were there to evaluate the case. The officers used their tasers to knock down the criminals, and successfully extracted the hostage safely. I pondered about this decision and wondered how the officers decided on that method. It was intelligent but hazardous to execute this method in that situation. They could've done something different, but that method worked flawlessly, getting the job done. That being said, if I am accepted into the KPD, I would be able to accomplish what I've always dreamed to do as I learn about how the force operates overall.

Secondly, being a part of a valuable community and meeting the people in this community. During the river event, I had the opportunity to work with the officers in the KPD. I was excited to work with the other department, because I could experience the best of both worlds. In the voice call on discord, everyone was kind to each other and they seemed like a marvelous department overall! That being said, if I do make the cut for joining the KPD, I would be elated to get to know the other officers and potentially become friends.

Lastly, having the ability to expand my role play experience. Currently, I am in the EMS on my account BBoba. In the EMS, you deal with anything medical related. That may include medications, surgeries, check-ups, therapy, etc. However, the KPD deals with criminal activity. This can range from jaywalking, graffiti, speeding to murders, robberies, arson, etc. Dealing with criminal activity and enforcing laws interests me, and I would be grateful to have the opportunity to role play a police officer and stop the amount of crime in Karakura!

Do you understand Japanese Laws and Basic Conduct?
Yes, I do understand the Japanese Laws and Basic Conduct but I would be open to learning more about them!

What are the Police ranks?

Police Department:

Police Commissioner:
The police commissioner is the highest rank in the KPD. They are in charge of everyone in the force, usually monitoring them to make sure they are doing their job correctly and are on task. They may be considered the 'overseer' of the KPD. They may also handle organizing events and accepting new people into the force.
^
Police Director:
The police director is the second-highest rank in the KPD. The director may also monitor everyone else in the KPD, making sure they are doing their job as an officer correctly. The director may be considered the co-commissioner of the KPD, helping the commissioner with their job.
^
Head Lieutenant:
The head lieutenant is the most experienced lieutenant, but they have the same job as the other lieutenants below them.
^
Lieutenant:
Lieutenants are considered the higher-ups of the KPD, sometimes handling decisions for the KPD team. They are also given guns since they proved that they are experienced in the KPD, and they can handle serious situations where the guns would be involved.
^
Sergeant:
Sergeants are the task-givers of the KPD. They may give jobs to the ranks below them depending on the situation, and their job is very similar to the corporals.
^
Corporal:
Corporals are the trainers of the KPD. Their task is to train the cadets, and they may monitor the ranks below them, making sure they are doing their job correctly.
^
Patrol Officer:
Congratulations to the patrol officers, they passed the test! Patrol officers have proved that they have the skills necessary to be apart of the KPD, and now they may work with other officers. Since they have passed the test, they may also go on patrol.
^
Police Cadet:
Police cadets are the rookies of the KPD. They will be trained in police work and learn how to handle certain situations. When their training is done, they will be quizzed on what they have learned, to decide if they are ready or not to become a patrol officer.

Detective Department:

Detective Superintendant
^
Detective Chief Inspector
^
Detective Inspector
^
Detective Constable

What knowledge do you have of Police Work?
The knowledge I have of police work is to handle criminal activity and enforce laws. For example, if someone is jaywalking and they ignore the officers, they may get fined for a set number of yen. If the crime is more grievous, the person who committed the crime may be jailed depending on the condition. If you are a police officer, it isn't an easy job. Since you are dealing with crime, you are jeopardizing your life for the safety of others. This is why you have to pay attention during training to understand how to handle serious situations in Karakura. Also, officers are given certain equipment to aid them with their job only. This may include handcuffs, nightstick, police car or bike, pistol, etc.

Why is Police important to SchoolRP?
Police are awfully critical to SchoolRP! One of the reasons why police are important to SchoolRP, is because of the rise in gangRP. Recently gangRP has been beloved amongst players, meaning that there is a higher crime in Karakura. Fortunately, there are police available to deal with this criminal activity. Dealing with criminal activity may include arresting, questioning, fining, anything to help lower the crime rate. Another reason why police are important to SRP is to make the role play feel more realistic. If there were no cops on SRP, it wouldn't be logical and criminals would just be doing crimes worry-free.

Do you acknowledge that you're subject to being demoted if accepted at any given time?
Yes, I do acknowledge that I'm subject to being demoted at any time.

Do you acknowledge that applying for this role, you are agreeing to be 100% dedicated to the Police Officer role?
If I am accepted as a Police Officer, I will be dedicated 100%!

Do you acknowledge that if training is held whilst you are online, you are authorized to attend or you will be punished [Demoted]?
Yes, I do acknowledge that if training is being held I must attend, this should not be an issue!

Do you acknowledge that you’re subject to IC harassment, and you are NOT to take things OOCly when dealing with training & situations?
Yes, I do acknowledge that I am subject to IC harassment, you should never take IC into OOC.

When Arakan is on duty, he stays focused and attentive. Since he is a police officer, his job is very essential to Karakura. That being said, he must be on-task at all times. If someone comes into the station without needing assistance, he will kindly but firmly tell them to leave the station. As you can tell, Arakan cares about his job and he is serious about his career. When Woo is on the clock, he likes to establish goals. This can range from clocking in a high amount of hours or trying to arrest the most criminals he can in a shift. Another task he performs well on duty is paying close attention during training. He has a lot of respect for his co-workers and higher-ups and makes sure to show his appreciation. For their excellent work, Arakan likes to show that he cares. He may give them gifts, compliment them, greet them kindly, or anything respectful. He will never judge his co-workers, or talk behind their backs. A lot of people count on Arakan, and he would never do anything to break that trust.

Even though Arakan is still young, he has plans for the future. Eventually, he wants to have a wife and potentially children. He wants to have a family because he wants to see his child grow up, and teach them how to be a proper and well-mannered human being. Even though he wants kids, it will be up to his wife. Arakan plans to have a late retirement. He really does enjoy his job and hopes to work at the Karakura Police Department for the rest of his life. Since I mentioned KPD, he wishes to accomplish some things in the police force. His main goal is to lower the crime rate in Karakura. Crime occurs frequently in the city and he will try everything he can to stop this mayhem. Another goal he wishes to check off is becoming a well respected officer. Even though he is already an officer, he wishes to earn the respect of the citizens of Karakura.

BACKSTORY
Arakan Woo was born in Shanghai, China on February 28th, 1989 at 3:12 AM. He was born with the proportions of 20 inches and 8 pounds, and his physical development would expeditiously progress through his toddler years. Arakan grew up in the Baoshan Shanghai area, and his family was in mediocre standing. His father, Dishi Woo, was a police officer, and his mother, Mei Woo, was a stay-at-home mother. Arakan Woo was entered into sports programs, and he became enthusiastic to play them after school. During his time at Shanghai Baoshan Guangyu Elementry School Nanxiao Unit, he was known as the school’s phenomenal football player. His grades were exceptionally high, and he ended up working as a tutor during his junior high and high school years. When he started middle school at Baoshan Middle School, he loved the idea of being idolized by others. Arakan would go around with his head held high, pretending to be the top tier of the school. The schoolgirls and younger students would obsess over him, and he was living the life he always dreamed of. Upon arriving in Shanghai Xingzhi High School, he was recruited into the varsity football team. Arakan was essentially the head of the school, he was a jock that would look down on younger students, and he would mess around with the women he requested. The only problem Arakan had during his high school years was the fact he didn’t know what he was going to do when he’s older. As senior year dawned on him, Dishi Woo, his father, was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. A week after Arakan graduated from Shanhai Xingzhi High School, Dishi died on his hospital bed. Arakan was in ghastly grief, and all he wanted to do was make his father proud from above. Therefore Arakan moved to Karakura, Japan where his father was born, and began a new life for himself. He studied Criminology to carry out what Dishi loved to do which was his job, being a police officer.
