Back Story:

Michael Alexander Smith was born to a Filipino mother and an American father in a small town in the Philippines. His childhood was filled with warmth and love, as his parents worked hard to provide for him. Michael's father, an engineer, had secured a job with a multinational company, which allowed them to live comfortably.
However, when Michael was just 12 years old, his father's company faced financial difficulties, leading to layoffs and pay cuts. The family's once stable income began to dwindle, and they struggled to make ends meet. Despite their best efforts, they eventually fell into debt, forcing them to sell their home and most of their belongings.
With no other options left, Michael's parents made the difficult decision to move to Japan, where they believed there would be more job opportunities. They hoped that the move would provide them with a fresh start and a chance to rebuild their lives.
Life in Japan was tough for the Smith family. They faced numerous challenges, including language barriers and cultural differences. Michael found it particularly hard to adjust to his new surroundings. However, he remained resilient, determined to help his family in any way he could.
Tragedy struck when Michael was 15 years old. His parents were involved in a fatal car accident, leaving him orphaned. Suddenly thrust into adulthood, Michael had to take on the responsibility of caring for himself while navigating his own grief.
Despite the overwhelming circumstances, Michael was determined to honor his parents' memory by continuing his education. With the support of his extended family and the local community, he managed to stay in school and excel academically.
Now 18 years old and in the 12th grade, Michael is determined to graduate and pursue higher education. He dreams of becoming a successful businessman, using his experiences to help others facing similar challenges. Though he misses his parents dearly, he knows that they would be proud of the strong, resilient young man he has become.
