APPLICATION INFORMATION

What position are you applying for?:

I am applying for the Lawyer position.

What is your motivation for applying?:
I have many reasons as to why I've decided to apply. I will proceed to list them to assist the comprehension and organization factors.

1. Discovery.
The SchoolRP server has evolved over the years to have many opportunities, factions, and communities. They have always piqued my interest, most of my "SRP-life" being spent as an average high schooler, until recently when my high school Student Council application was accepted and I was warmly welcomed into the Council faction. I must say, I have a knack for trying out new (ish) things and discovering the fun roleplay and learning possibilities this screen before me holds. My goal is to join as many factions and communities as possible and help become a renowned and recognized member of SchoolRP.
2. Exploration
The Government faction has made its way to the top of my pyramid of factions I would love to be a part of - the Shrine faction below it. I've always loved learning new things and attaining that information, making use of it to bring myself and others entertainment, fun, and excitement. Exploration is one of my favorite factors in life. It gives you the amazing feeling of new opportunities, the enticing feeling of not knowing what happens next, and the expansion of my knowledge - which doesn't hurt!
3. Real-life Experience
In real life, I aspire to take the role of a lawyer or an aerospace engineer. Family, friends, have told me, and on occasion, strangers that with my fierce attitude and determination, I'd make an excellent lawyer. This, however, is not the only reason I have decided to pursue law in my rewardful life. Throughout my life, I've considered many different career paths. I'm interested in, to put it simply, everything. This made deciding which of my fifty aspirations I would pursue a difficult decision. Eventually (after an extremely lengthy ponder session), I narrowed it down to myself that I would steer straight, toward law. Ever since then, I've studied many virtues and aspects necessary to succeed and learn law.
4. Roleplay Experience
We could all use some work on our roleplay skills. Or, at least, some of us. As a beginner to the SchoolRP factions, some extra roleplay experience wouldn't hurt. Now, when I say beginner, I mean to SchoolRP factions. In real life? I'm the person you call! I'm very invested and determined when I want something. With roleplay experience, when I want to explore factions in the future, I will understand how to properly act in them and expand my advanced skillset already acquired.
5. Reliance
When I develop a new interest or goal, you best believe I'll work for it. My eyes are dead ahead when it comes to reliance and determination. I can comfortably yet efficiently adapt to and attain new information, making it look easy. I'm a quick and easy learner, meaning that I can be taught anything of the sort and you can rely upon that I'll do it gracefully and within a personal deadline I usually set for myself. I have many traits that may help my case.

5a. Memory
I value physical and mental strength. My memory is in the 96th percentile (according to reliable sources). Anything you say or do will stick with me forever, my memory being one of my most notable skills that many may not know about me. If you point out what I do wrong (if I do); I will remember that. Training? Remember that, too! Not to mention the in-character advantages it brings. With my familiarity with the firm set of rules of Karakura, with even one slip-up in court, I could use it to my client's defense and point out their offense to the Karakura virtues and agreement they vowed when they moved to Karakura.

5b. Communication
I have the ability to smoothly get my point across in a clear way all parties can understand. In trials, restraining orders, and any other duties I may be tasked with, I vow that whatever job you give me I can complete clearly; free of any vagueness or blurs.
Do you have an understanding of Karakura’s laws & Constitutional rights?:
Yes! I have familiarized myself with Karakura's laws, Constitutional rights, regulations, and legislature. It was very interesting learning to learn, as well!

Are there any goals for you or your character with this role?:
I would like Kendall to become a notable and well-known member of the Government faction while helping people in SchoolRP with their roleplay. As for myself, I want to understand what working as a lawyer actually entails, preparing myself for the real world. I'm sure more will pop up along the way!

In your own words, describe what the position you’re applying for does within the government:
Attorneys, or lawyers, are essential members of society because they advise, represent, and advocate on behalf of individuals, companies, and organizations. Their main duty is to safeguard clients' rights and interests while assisting them in navigating the legal system's complexities. Depending on their area of expertise, lawyers handle a wide range of tasks, such as criminal defense, corporate law, family law, intellectual property law, environmental law, civil litigation, and many more.

Advising and providing guidance to clients on legal matters is one of a lawyer's primary duties. This entails evaluating the legal concerns of clients, outlining their rights and options, and recommending the best course of action to meet their goals. To create successful legal strategies, attorneys frequently carry out in-depth research, examine pertinent statutes and precedents, and evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of their clients' cases.

Lawyers not only give advice, but they also stand up for their clients in court. This could entail drafting and submitting legal documents to the proper courts or government organizations, including motions, complaints, petitions, and contracts. In addition, attorneys mediate conflicts, negotiate settlements, and represent clients in courtrooms, trials, and other legal proceedings. To make compelling oral arguments to juries, judges, or opposing parties, they need to be highly skilled advocates.

Ensuring that clients' rights are upheld throughout the legal process is a crucial component of a lawyer's job. Protecting clients from unjust treatment, discrimination, or infringements on their constitutional rights is part of this. In addition to upholding moral principles, attorneys must always act in their client's best interests, protect client confidentiality, and steer clear of conflicts of interest.

In addition to advocating for specific clients, attorneys are essential in forming and interpreting the law. To support legal reforms and social justice initiatives, they might take part in the drafting of legislation, offer feedback on proposed regulations, and advocate on behalf of the general public. By their participation in appellate litigation and legal scholarship, attorneys also contribute to the creation of legal precedent.

Do you acknowledge that upon being accepted you can be subject to removal at any given time?:
Yes, I am aware of this and completely agree with this regulation.

Do you understand that you’re expected to be dedicated to your position upon being accepted?:
Yes. I vow to be dedicated to my position as an esteemed lawyer.

Are you aware that any display of OOC bias toward anyone on the job will result in punishment?:
Yes, and I agree with the pointing out of this in the format.

Have you read & agreed to follow the Government Faction rules?:
Yes, of course!

Are you able to attend weekly meetings & events?:
Yes. My weeks are free almost completely! I will be able to attend weekly meetings and events.

IN CHARACTER SECTION

Full name:
Kendall would walk in, the ironed blazer she wore accentuating her shoulders, giving her a powerful appearance. A playful yet fiercest smile she flashed the interviewer, removing her bold sunglasses and placing her faux-scale bag on the desk neatly. She gently sat down, crossing her leg over her other.

"Good day! My name is Kendall Cleo Clark."

Preferred title (Mr., Mrs., etc.):
"My preferred title is Ms. Clark."

Current age:
"I am currently 29 years of age."

She spoke with a gentle tone, slightly tilting her head at the interviewer.

Date of birth:
"I was born on the 29th of April, 1995."

Her demeanor became more serious; toughening up.

Gender:
"I am biologically female."

Academic Degree:
"Five years ago, I completed my master's degree at UNSW Sydney (The University of New South Wales)."

Major(s):
"I majored in Political Science, Criminal Justice, and Asian Languages."

She shot the interviewer a playful smile; one that dictated pride.
Minor(s):
"I minored in Philosophy and Public Administration."

Work experience:
"Excluding the standard fast-food restaurants I paved my way through in my teen years, after I graduated, I obtained and worked in many internships back in Australia. To list a few: Clayton Utz, Ashurst, King & Wood Mallesons, and finally, Hall & Wilcox."

Nationality & born location:
"I am Australian and my birth location is Sydney, Australia."

Fluent languages (Underline your native):
"I speak Japanese, English, Hawaiian, and Mandarin!"

Criminal record:
"All clean, you'd bet!"

What makes you a good candidate for this job?
"Unlike others seeking this position, I'm a different one. Look at me- I'm an Australian blonde who looks like she belongs in a darn modeling agency! I aspire to be just like Elle Woods (from the classic, Legally Blonde- not sure if you've heard of it!), coincidentally, pursuing law alongside her. In the modern world, people think that women are incapable of doing a "man's job", but I completely disagree! Most people classify me as a "dumb blonde", but baby, I'm not takin' that! In trials, some people may be surprised to see a (blonde) woman like me take these opponents head-on, probably surprising them with my intellect. The element of surprise is on my side, am I right? Moving on, away from all the sexism, I value hard work and dedication. I'm determined, fierce, and not afraid to advocate for others and myself! Next, I'm very invested in the work I do. You can count on me that I'll do my job correctly, and exceed your expectations. NOW!"

She cleared her throat, making sure her presence in the room was noticed.
"I am a good candidate for this job - not only because I have a decent skillset - but again, to prove stereotypes and sexism WRONG with a fat slap in the fa- okay, I'll stop now."
She cleared her throat, again, this time recollecting herself.

"I have the capability of putting together pieces of information, pointing out any flaws, and communicating to clients in a reasonable way the right step forward. Solving feuds fairly and advocacy is my favorite pastime and my safe space. I love justice, and making sure the sentence fits the crime. I can be extremely persuasive at times, to the point where you might be surprised at how promising I can be and how well I can handle arguments the fair way.I consider myself an understanding, kind, straightforward woman, and someday, when you get the chance, I hope you'll grow to recognize me as one! I'm here to help others and spread awareness that a measly blonde from Australia could achieve such great things. I think that if you hired me, I would make a great addition to the team and that you would grow to like me and discover all of my interests, quirks, and more! Thank you for your time! I've had so much fun!"
