Basically, if you have first tier engine, instead of paying 500k for third tier, you'd pay 400k. If you have tier 2 that costs (if im not wrong) 200k or 300k, you pay for third tier just 300k or 200k.
Same with other upgrades, if you get first tier brakes for 100k, instead of paying 200k for tier 2, you pay 100k. And ALSO same goes to fuel tanks, 150k cheaper if you have first tier tank installed.
So in summary:
SELLING YOUR PREVIOUS TIER
Price of new upgrade is DECREASED by price of tier you already bought. (In this case, you are basically selling your previous tier to get new upgrade for cheaper price) note that wouldn't work backwards, if you pay 300k for max tier brakes, you'd still have to spend 150k for previous tier brakes if you wish to install it. Same with fast engine and economy engine, you'd still have to pay 100k for economy engine, even if you have a better tier.
KEEPING YOUR PREVIOUS TIER
OR you could pay original price, and then you keep access to install your previous upgrade. So, if I have fast engine, and I want to get a super-fast engine, I pay 500k and I can return to the previous engine for the cost of 0 Yen. And vice versa, you'd be able to return from fast engine to super-fast engine.
How will this benefit the server and community?:
This would encourage people to upgrade their cars on first tiers or second tiers upgrades, and they could slowly progress to get max tier upgrades, without concern of losing money in the dumb way. If you bought a second tier engine (like me) paying 500k just to replace it, doesn't make much sense. You're basically losing money you spent on previous engine (and you can't even install it if you change your mind, I think so)
