When it comes to my activity on SRP, I'd say I'm pretty consistent. On weekdays, I work from around 6 AM to 4 PM, but after that, I’m almost always online. I really make the most of my evenings, and on weekends? I’m usually on for way longer, sometimes more than I even realize.
If I had to rate my activity, I’d give it a solid 8 or 9. Work keeps me busy during the day, sure, but once I’m home, I'm usually logged on for 4–8 hours daily. On big days? I’ve pushed past 10. The servers become a huge part of my routine, it's where I unwind, hang out, and stay involved with the community.
Even when I'm multitasking, I keep the game up. Im rarely AFK for long unless I really have to step away. I stay active, aware, and ready to jump into whatever’s going on. I’ve kept this rhythm for a while now, and I don’t plan on slowing down anytime soon! The only bit of inactivity I see happening anytime soon is in less than two weeks I'm getting married!!!!!!!! But after that I plan to get this fully fleshed out right before or right after!

Why do you want to become a Shopkeeper?:
The Shopkeeper role has always kinda had this pull for me. It was one of those things I always thought would be cool to try, but I never actually went for it. Mostly because I never thought I could really do it. I wasn’t sure I was ready to take on something like that, or if I could actually make a shop fun and worth people coming to. But after taking a break from SRP about 2 years ago and coming back with a fresh mindset, that whole outlook has changed.

Since returning, I’ve been way more involved. Like, actually putting myself out there, taking on new roles, and just having fun with it again. I’ve been back in the sports faction and trying to push out ideas and other involvements with it, I also picked up a role in KPD, which has been a huge part of me branching out more. Both of those have pushed me to improve my RP, try new stuff, and just be more creative overall, and I've genuinely been loving it.

That’s why applying for Shopkeeper feels right now. When I saw the slot open, something about it just hit. It wasn’t even something I was actively planning, but the motivation showed up outta nowhere. And even if it seems sudden, I’ve already got ideas, plans, and that same energy I’ve been putting into my other roles. The motivation and want for it has been there all along. I just finally feel like it's ‘time’.

What do you plan to do with your shop, and what makes it unique?:

Sumisei will be a one of a kind shop in Karakura, offering cozy little scenes stitched with emotion and imagination. The core idea is to make every plush feel like a soft glimpse into a story, like stepping into a quiet corner of life you didnt know you needed! Its calm, creative, and a little poetic. A shelf full of feelings, not just items!

A few other ideas to make this shop unique are:​

Sumisei is a plushie and accessories shop that sells plush “scenes/sets” instead of just plush toys. Each collection is based around a specific theme or mood! Like a bear baking bread in a tiny kitchen set, or a frog wearing a scarf in a rainy bus stop!

Some plushes will come as furniture items so we can make the sets in the store! Other things will come with this! Mini accessories, and sometimes even a bit of lore. Customers can buy individual plushies or collect entire story sets. Its part shop, part experience. Something to explore, not just walk past!

Interior Layout!!!!
The layout of Sumisei will be designed to feel more like a curated exhibit than a traditional storefront. Instead of cluttered shelves or generic item rows, the shop will have divided scene zones(1-2 to start off) each one styled as a miniature “corner of life.” These areas will showcase themed plush collections, complete with props, matching accessories, and little environmental touches that reflect the mood of each set. Think of walking into a section labeled “Rainy Day” and seeing a cozy plush cat with glasses tucked into a blanket beside a mug and a book! Itll be softly lit by warm hanging lanterns or bulbs and surrounded by pastel signs! Each wall or display shelf tells a different story, encouraging customers to explore, pause, and take in the details annnnddd sell the plushies! The layout invites visitors to wander, no two scenes will be styled the same, and theres no linear path. Its open, breathable, and interactive, with plenty of space for staff to engage ICly, run themed events, and guide customers through the lore of each drop. Its supposed to be immersive! Every step through Sumisei should feel like flipping the page of a picture book. Telling the story of each of our little plushies!​

EVENTS WOOO!!!

Sumiseis events are meant to feel like youre stepping into a soft, creative daydream. They wont be loud or over the top, theyre quiet little moments that let players engage with the shops world in a way that feels personal. Whether its through crafting their own plush “scenes”(By giving ideas that may come to reality), leaving a note behind, or participating in gentle IC moments, the goal is to keep it atmospheric and interactive while still being fun. Here are a few that would rotate throughout openings:

Build-A-Scene Days
On special opening days, players can come in and curate their own mini story sets. These story sets will be 'presented' to either the people ICLY in the store or announced/voted on within the discord! Whichever characters idea wins gets a prize, that either being yen OR a free plush from their set when it comes out, It could even be a permanent store discount! Who knows!


Themed Outfit Discount Days
Every now and then, Sumisei announces a theme, like “Study Session”, “Just got outta bed”, or even something like “Cafecore”! Staff dress up accordingly, and any customer who comes in wearing an outfit that fits that vibe (or even tries to) gets a discount! Its lighthearted and easy to encourage expressive roleplay and fun outfit-making, especially for characters who love putting together looks. (These can also go along with Plushie sets! So if we just introduced a new set! MATCH IT! get a discount!)

Sumisei isnt supposed to be just a place to buy accessories or plushies! Its a place for them to live in! From its scene based collections to its soft lit, scrapbook style layout, everything is crafted to tell a story and draw people into it. Whether youre admiring the “Rainy Day” plush set in a warm corner of the store or flipping through a catalogue that feels like a childhood wish list, the entire shop is made to feel immersive and alive. Each plush isnt just cute, it will have a backstory, a mood, and sometimes even a place in a larger scene. And through rotating drops, curated accessories, and cozy little IC events, Sumisei will constantly gives players something to engage with!

The aesthetic of Sumisei is all about capturing quiet moments in soft detail. The shop will feel like a collection of cozy corners that pull from stories! Its decorated with "scence sets" each with their own plush characters and props, arranged like dioramas that shift every so often. The colors lean into neutrals with soft pops: sandy creams, mossy greens, faded lavenders, and the occasional electric accent for contrast.

The logo itself reflects this blend of calm and character! Featuring clean, stylized text with subtle curves, often paired with a minimal mark of a stitched thread or tiny star to represent the connection between each story. It isnt flashy, but its memorable, a little stamp of sentiment that feels hand made. Everything about Sumisei is curated, thoughtful, and just a little poetic.

Pretty straight forward! The shop owner oversees everything from staff management to restocks to running the Discord server. They're the one shaping the shop’s brand, theme, and energy, from uniforms to event planning. Final decisions on hiring, staff promotions, and disciplinary actions all go through them.

Managers are the shopkeeper’s right and left wings. Trusted with handling shift operations when the owner is unavailable, they help review applications, train new hires, and assist with organization and inventory. They also serve as point-people during larger openings or events, helping keep things running smoothly and making sure every duck is in a row.

These are the top-performing employees who’ve shown consistency, reliability, and strong energy during shifts. Akinori is the type of man who carries quiet authority without needing to raise his voice. Standing at 5'11", his frame is lean but sturdy. More from years of habit than any real fitness routine. Hes typically dressed in semi-formal wear even when he doesnt need to be, always a pressed shirt or neatly ironed sweater in soft neutral tones. His hair is short and greying at the temples, always combed back neatly. There's usually a calm, observant expression on his face, like hes always watching, always calculating, but never judging. Small smile lines have etched themselves around his eyes, the result of a life spent in business and a home full of love.

Hes always had a soft spot for things that spark imagination, old toys, charming trinkets, hand-drawn catalogues. Akinori is the kind of person who remembers your favorite childhood snack even if you only mentioned it once. Polite, grounded, cold at times but hes the kind of person who believes business should always have heart. That is what allows it to thrive!

Plush toys that werent just cute, but part of little scenes, tiny corners of life, full of gentle detail and hidden warmth.

Sumisei became more than a business. It became Akinoris next purpose. A way to contribute to the community in a completely new form, through handcrafted moments, imaginative stories, and shelves that feel like picture books come to life. This time, instead of patrolling streets, hes curating softness. And if he can create a place where someone walks in after a hard day and finds peace staring at a plush frog in a scarf... then maybe, just maybe, hes doing exactly what he was always meant to. AND SO PEOPLE STOP CALLING HIM A GRUMPY OLD MAN!​
