they share a bond similar to brother & sister's, & the
man was one of the first people she'd ever met. out
of anyone she currently knows, she's known him the
longest. truthfully, he was responsible for one (or two
maybe) of the kidnappings she'd experienced. in an
attempt to protect her, he resorted to rather.. twisted
ways to get his message across. alice wasn't aware
of the identity of her kidnappers, just that they were
associated with the black market (one of which was
'invader'). she discovered that juuzou was involved via
another dealer. naturally, she felt hurt and confused.
however... despite this, & perhaps this was due to
sheer mental & emotional exhaustion, she couldn't
bring herself to hate him. he was, & still is, an older
brother to her.

she needed it desperately. to her, he was a light
source when things grew too dim. she looks up
to him &, to an extent, views him as a father.

for her. alice looks up to hanae & respects her
greatly, for she has always been kind & gentle

longer than anyone, juuzou included. he
is basically her brother, just not by blood.
when she first arrived to karakura, it was
he who found her. he may not of been the

out for her. to her, he is a voice of reason.
he's unfiltered & speaks the truth even if
it's harsh. for this, she is thankful, as he's
helped her realize & understand a lot.

to be. the constant comments & questions
about akari's parenting had weighed her down,
especially during the periods of alice's four
kidnappings. not to mention the doubt that
was implanted into the girl's mind about akari's
love for her—or lack thereof. outside forces
put a heavy strain on their relationship, which
caused a distance to form between them. it
eventually reached its head & the two argued,
leading to alice being disowned. however, that
wasn't what akari truly wanted, which she later
conveyed. the damage had already been done,
though, leaving mayoibune in a state of uncertainty
hesitation & fear. what if she was abandoned
again? she had much to think about before
deciding how their daughter-mother relationship
should continue.
ujarak katsumi

⁺ ⠀alice's adoptive father... technically. they used
to be somewhat close, but ujarak's consistent
absence has put a strain on the relationship. at
least, from alice's point of view. she knows he's
busy with work & tries not to hold it against
him, but... she does wish she saw him more often
& that he & akari could spend more time with
one another.

initially, it was actually pretty okay! but an

her memories of him are hazy—almost not
even there. however, her relationship with him

into it, a faint 'x' hiddin within its design; & her
hair donned a permanent black streak. even in
current times, alice doesn't understand why the
spirit did it. though, she wonders if the reason
the mark grows irritated when on shrine
grounds was because matsunae disliked the
shrine...

as though she's being violent maliciously,
but she isn't. she'd never intentionally harm
someone unless they physically attacked first.
