Creepy Clinic Recovery time thing

What's the title of your suggestion?: Creepy Clinic Recovery time thing

What's your suggestion?:
i talked about this ages ago in crime suggestions but thought id make a post about it as it got buried.

i think crime clinic should have some form of period after someone has been treated that they cannot do offensive actions for hours or a day or two, still being able to use the character that have been stabbed or whatever freaky things yall do.

ive seen people get stabbed and then come back to take revenge 20 minutes later good as new, and this has happened to me myself, stabbed someone in the gut with a naginata, 20 mins later he came back with a whole ass spiked bat, and before people say "most gang rpers who are in respected gangs roleplay the injury seriously" this dude was in a verified gang, i also think it would help spread out when and where perms are used, instead of sets upon sets of perms being used hour after hour it would spread the activities over a few days instead of all at one time

feel free to give your thoughts

How will this benefit the server and community?:
people will gangrp again

Neutral
As a gangRPer myself, I see both sides, but a day is a little excessive for this. I think like oocly an hour would do. Just not a whole day.

I'm pretty sure getting back into a gangRP situation after less than a day of your character being put 'out of commission' so to speak [I forgot the exact amount, I dont gangRP so I dont keep full track] breaks the rules.

If this ISN'T something currently against the rules then I say +1 to this.

Its advised to roleplay properly to the injuries, but people dont do it and just come back to fights straight away sadly

+1 - Yeah! I like this, makes it more realistic for those who jump straight into gangrp after being stabbed in the liver and treated by crime clinic.. at least a day recovery or something would suit it.

Eh I think what you're suggesting is to much, I see where you're coming from but having to wait a day or two just to action again kind of beats the whole purpose of CC, but I can agree that our character should be out of action or have a recovery of one to two hours (OOC time) which is a few hours in character! just to make it a little more realistic.

+ 1

I don't care for gang rp but that would make a whole lot more sense to have a set period where you'd have to take psychical injuries seriously before being able to go back into it.

The only reason I say this is because as someone who has used the crime clinic on multiple occasions, the crime clinic is classed as something quick and on the spot for major wounds like stabbings. When going to the CC, you aren't given the same level of care and ****ysis as the hospital is an environment where you can get given prescriptions, get monitored as you recover, and have someone always there to help you with any of your issues. WHEREAS, clinicians generally don't care enough about the patient to get them medicine, there is no pharmacy for the CC, no one would be able to theoretically monitor anyone (rendering forced recovery times null as you wouldn't have any reason to stay put), and the help a clinician will give you is pretty limited to the stab wounds as things like broken bones aren't even considered for treatment by the CC.

Edit: To summarize, there is no realistic reason for any recovery time after being treated by a crime clinician as the character is not kept at the treatment are and they are not strictly bound to any place, if anything it is up to the players discretion whether or not they would like to have their character recover over time.

not strictly bound to any place,
So, at first I was gonna comment on the use of the r-word (realistic), but then I realised that... I think you misunderstood the suggestion.

They are not suggesting your character becomes unplayable, tied up in an imaginary recovery room in CC, so you can't play them for however long (though I would not oppose that). They are suggesting you can't do any combat actions for the given recovery time, seeing as you need to heal from your injuries, but mainly as a technical balancing to nerf CC.

+1 To the suggestion.

I'd say make the recovery timer 2 OOC days, in line with how long a player can't gang RP with the same group after getting arrested. 3 OOC days are also acceptable, imo.

Now that I would agree with, while the player won’t be able to be kept in recovery I can side with there being no combat acts happening.. So I think I’ll change to +1

The clinic isn't a quick, on-the-spot place. It's a place where you can get treated for your wounds without any question or involvement of the police. You're right, there's no one monitoring your recovery, but I believe they're suggesting a self-inflicted recovery where the player can't engage in roleplay for a certain period of time. It's a bit unrealistic to come back from a liver-stabbing surgery a few hours later like nothing happened. I get it's a video game, but we also forget there's some roleplay aspect to it and not just all PvP-style combat.
