less of a suggestion for any kind of gameplay addition. moreso a small lore one.
much like Wither is a debuff in vanilla that slowly chips away at you and kills you, and in Minecraft Story Mode it's a parasite/cancer-like disease that literally withers parts of your body unless cured,
what if something similar could be added as Something That Was Plaguing The Lands In The Ancient Times, Now An Obscure Concept Of A Danger Nobody Could Escape.

How will this benefit the server and community?:
can be completely overlooked in the favour of not leaving more dying possibility routes for characters, but perhaps the Wither could be used to kill someone off willingly. much like a hard hit to the head from someone, or poisoning, if that's happened before.
 
It would be funny if you went to the sewers without a mask or anything to protect ya, and you get the chance to be contaminated, and you either get super dizzy or withered
 
Big -1. Feel like it’s a really bad addition. It really define gameplay and would force people into quarantines or changing their rp for something that doesn’t seem “fun” or “interesting towards rp” at all.

SRP staff, event and sometimes lore depending on context have to be very careful about any illnesses introduced possibly to the server. Why? Because players could become very upset at being forced to RP something out like a sickness, but it can also lead to a sensitive topic for someone OOCly. Yes IK this is a minecraft server but there can still be things that can really upset or bother a person even in a game like minecraft let alone a roleplay server.

It could be a neat idea, but I don't see it being added whether it be event wise or perm, because as @justsimba said, it not only could make people upset for being forced to RP something out that they didn't agree to, but realistically speaking, illnesses have a chance of killing people. Its best to just rp it out yourself if you want an illness kind of thing, that way you get what youd like, and others dont really have to deal with having to do it. (Hope that made sense)

This sounds like a pretty interesting idea, but unfortunately, the server's lore tries to stir away from fantasy-like "tropes" as much as possible. Let me explain.

This would be a perfect idea for something like an SMP roleplay server, or a different community with a more fantasy-themed setting. However, the reason why it doesn't work on SchoolRP is because realism is a core goal when it comes to lore & events; Introducing something from "Minecraft" would break immersion for many players, not to mention it wouldn't really align anywhere in Karakura's lore.

To give an example of something similar that could happen on the server would be a disease caused by a curse placed upon a character by a spirit. Indeed, you could argue it's not exactly "realistic" either. However, it's something that could fit into Karakura's lore & be roleplayed out by event characters, as it's an urban legend that (much like in real life) could start up as a simple rumour and develop into an urban legend. Of course, this is just an example! I'm sure the lore team's brainstorming can come up with a way more detailed and interesting idea than what I mentioned before (side-eyes mist)

TL;DR - The concept of "wither" by itself is too fantasy-like for it to fit in the modern & realistic setting that SchoolRP hosts

Now hear me out, after removing bleed out timers for any stabbed attempts on majors, why shouldn't there be a dangerous side effect, realistically once stabbed/ slashed if left out or an extended amount of period of time, causes a high chance of infection, causing it to be infected and risking danger to the user, making them stay in EMS longer, I don't think of it as damage over time because I have had people complain in dms about KPS on their characters, this is just a way to instead to give an extra part of rp, as it also widens the roleplay opportunity of ems instead of the same old stabbings.

This is just an idea but I don't think withering is too good of an idea as damage over time ..
