Who was the best lead you've worked under?

Who was the best lead(Faction Lead, Captain, Club Lead, President, Head Doc, KPD Captain/Commissioner, etc.)/leader you’ve had, and why?

What did they do that made you forever respect/admire them? Did they do something that has still stuck with you; even after cutting back on SRP?

Have their methods/advice/example of leadership gone on to inspire you in your own leadership positions within the server or outside of it?

I would love to take some notes!

I’ll start!

It’s somewhere between Maria, Tippie, and Customable, for me.

I worked with all three, primarily via council, but also through sports and clubs.

A little respect goes a long way, and I feel these three showed constant respect, and trust, in those they led. It allowed us, their teams, to work unbridled, and to our fullest potentials. Even when disagreements came up, they were never arguments. Both sides took time to explain their POV, and it nearly always resulted in an amicable compromise. They were just and fair, while managing to balance sternness, and professionalism.

As a President, Captain, and Journalism-Lead, I, in-turn, tried to replicate these traits within my own groups, and the positive impact it had was undeniable.

She is genuinely the smartest person and most incredible person I've ever met and she does so much to make the shrine faction feel enjoyable for everybody. I feel more comfortable speaking to her than to some of the people I speak to everyday and I find her so inspiring just to be around.
And she has three cute cats :3
 
I gotta give this title to alex!

She’s been the EMS lead for a while now, and she’s gone through a lot of pickles to get the faction where it is today. Back when Yeager was in the faction, neither she nor the higher-ups ever felt too strict. Instead, they made sure every worker felt welcomed and free to roleplay out the silliest situations now and then. And to be honest, Rokku Heddo is that one character that comes to mind when thinking about medical malpractice (aside from Lori Lamb)

On top of that, alex has been leading the faction for nearly five years now. Leading a faction usually wears people down, but she took these responsibilities like a champ. I'd like to ask chat for five booms for six pancake

  • KimiNoUso - I remember that, all the way back in 2020, people thought of the employees faction as that one job that you could apply for to get some easy money; kinda like an introduction to faction work, and an "easy" way to get the Adult tag (cringe). Unlike the previous faction leads, he made sure to be as active as possible, hosting frequent meetings and listening to suggestions. If I remember correctly, he even oversaw the remaking of the private tutoring room, so i might be a little biased here. Regardless, it was definitely a nice experience to work on his faction ^^
  • ryahb - Though he wasn't commissioner for too long, he was committed to helping the faction in a more in-character way. Given the fact that the commissioner prior to him could rarely be spotted in the station, it definitely helped newer cadets feel more welcomed, as they were able to see that their "boss" was also around to help (i still won't forgive him for driving off when sebastian was getting stabbed)
  • Hirathex - Current commissioner!!! Throughout the 5 months I was a DCI (and eventually LT), Hira always made sure to listen to their faction and lead it properly after I stepped down. It was at this point when I realized that transitioning faction leads is pretty darn hard o_o. All the documents, spreadsheets, information & guidelines could make anyone lose their marbles. However, I was able to see first-hand how hira was able to take over seamlessly while also leeting the higher-ups help during this transition. To top it off, they were also capable of balancing both BMD and KPD at the same time. big W!!!
  • Tippie_ - I recall the sports faction being quite hectic all the way back in pre-2022. There were barely any rules, and you could find cheerleaders and jocks raiding entire houses to kill their IC team's rivals. The line between JockRP and GangRP, to put it simply, didn't exist. It wasn't until Tippie and a few other staff took over that sports started to feel more accurate and approachable. This change DEFINITELY didn't happen overnight (specially with all the documents, team purges and changes made to the faction), but if it wasn't for him, who knows what SportsRP would be like now

Tippie, cause he was not only the best lead when I was involved with Council, but he was also one of the 1st people I ever RP'd with on the server back in 2020. And cause he harassed me to do some of the math for the baseball plugin when it was being developed..
 
As someone part of Teacher faction, No competition lobsterrdog the Best Boss!!!

To many reasons to explain why
 
I loved all of the leads I've worked under.
Shrine, Government, Teacher, Club-Leader, Crime/BMD, HS Sports, and even community team!
 
i love my current faction leads, hirathex & aania - they make both factions such a welcoming and warm place and i feel safe there :D

100% biased but i also adore the teacher faction lead, mister lobsterrdog :3 not just because he's my boyfriend, but he's so passionate and cares about his faction members a lot

and look at her shes been mentioned multiple times !!!!! and contrary to some belief of biasedness, alex has scolded me well when i was #inactive and #not_doing_things_right, for the three times ive been in the faction and my epic community lead rex!!! hes carried on the lore team so beautifully

other than alex and rex, this one goes to jayla for being my football captain, muffin for being track captain, and even tho this is current, spork as my dodgeball captain !

Best faction lead i’ve had is Keon / lobbsterdog

they were really easy to talk to and made teacher feel so at home I MISS FACULTY. But Keon made it really easy to navigate and planned really silly events to bring us together and super understanding

Best captain is Jade / jadeshl

i love jade with all my heart she made the experience on cheer the best i’ve ever had, so easy to speak with and was always THERE FOR MEEE, sweetest being ever ugh
 
The best faction leads that I've even been under are both Hira & Pancake in the KPD faction, the both of them put so much effort into the faction and are very responsive if someone is struggling with any issues that come to the surface. Another great Faction lead that I have had and my very first faction lead being Jayla, they would host frequent meetings for Student Council and were very open and collaborative when it came with submitting event ideas to council - I was very sad when I decided to leave the Student Council to partake in the Sports Faction just due to the lead alone.
