Languages for Birds

HedeonRP.

Level 6
What's your Minecraft Username?: HedeonRP
What's the title of your suggestion?: Languages for Birds

What's your suggestion?:
So! As you know some species of birds can mimic and repeat words they've heard before.

What I Propose I'd that for certain species of Bird they can create applications for Japanese; in the rules of this it should be stated they cannot have an understanding of the language but can associate repeated words with an item or task.

It's much like a dog learning it's name, they associate the word with reward.

I think it should be modified closely; if a person is found abusing this perk than they have it removed.

How will this benefit the server and community?:
As previously stated this is a major bonus for AnimalRP and those that specifically play species of intelligent birds; it feels wrong to limit and remove aspects of realism that can be added.

Now, I know what you're going to say "People will abuse this to tell others what happened." I have a counter offer.

Birds are limited to knowing / associating 5 words at a time, and they cannot form a coherent sentence, Ie;

[BIRD] 'Bird' -- "Food. Food."

But they cannot say

[BIRD] 'Bird' -- "Can you give me Food?"

Simple words I'd say with a maximum of 2 syllables, any more and it would be unrealistic.

Again, this should be moderated on a heavy scale, and applications must be excellent for this.

They must have a reasonable Backstory to how they associated certain words with actions and items.

Genuinely I think this could be a fantastic addition to the community; though I'm open to hearing genuine reasons why people think this would be a bad Idea.

And as usual, be respectful in your replies and comments, we're all people here!

Sorry :(
I just don't think it'd work well with most birds, since only a few species are capable of it and I doubt it would be too heavily moderated given staff are already super busy with other things... I do also thing it'd be greatly misused :(

Realistically as Urrufu said, giving the bird whitelist the chance to apply for languages also brings the chance that the whitelist would misuse it in a way to where it could be considered FailRP.

Only come birds have access to mimic. But as a whole, I don't think we need this

I've seen SS of some AnimalRP... I always thank God for the inability to understand animals in SRP... Yall crazy. The trauma.... For the mental health of us, humans, I simply cannot +1 and bring myself to sleep...

For me looks fun, but isnt all bird species that could learn. I know that just psittacidae, crows can imitate sounds. SRP doesn't have one as i know. I think u can just use /me "Makes sounds that remembers <which one>" But remember, Parrots say random things. Unless u show them and train to answer what is

The given bird types makes me think SRP Staff intends us to be typical wild birds instead of talking parrots. Crows can mimic yes, but it's a privilege that can be easily abused. People with whitelists tend to want things, like food. Instead of using words, try using body language. Like a head tilt, a simple chirp, or wide, puppy eyes on that sandwhich someone is holding.

However, I do believe bird whitelists need a larger variety of sounds. Cats get purr, meow, etc. Dogs get bark, rrr, etc. And birds are stuck with "chirp". I think we should get more sounds, since bird whitelists are the most popular. Caw, *whistles*, cheep, etc can be used too.
