✮ Describe your activity on the server:

I've been part of SchoolRP for almost two years now. I first joined when I started college and it has become a part of my everyday life, something I really look forward to. Right now my schedule isn't very packed, I have a lot of free time outside of school and at my current job, I have a flexible contract. I do start an internship in November, that might affect my availability.

Currently my schedule is looking like this:
Mondays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, I will be available for all day
Tuesdays, I will be available from 4 PM
Wednesdays, I will be available from 1 PM
Fridays, I will mostly be available from 2 PM, depending if I get called into work or not.

I would describe myself as an active and maybe a well rounded player. I've explored SRP through multiple perspectives. Each role has given me the chance to learn and tell stories with my characters. I just genuinely enjoy connecting with others. I've experienced a few aspects of the server and I always aim to keep improving.

CLUBS
I was part of the Gardening Club. The main issue I faced was my time zone, it made it difficult to attend meetings or meet members. I still tried to stay as involved as I can, contributing by still doing solo tasks. Still following water logs and doing stuff independently. I've made an effort to stay engaged, even if my interactions were very limited. I decided to step away from Gardening club to focus on my time on another club that fit my schedule better.

The Occult Club. I've been involved with it for quite some time, before I recently got accepted as an official member after the applicant role was removed. I attend and even hosted a few meetings. I try to engage with the Occult Club as much as I can, with the members, inside and outside of meetings. Now that it's October, things become more lively. What I enjoy the most is the detailRP I get to explore, our characters differ a lot in personality, yet mesh well together. The creativity and lore make this club one of my favourite parts of SRP and I hope it remains that way

CRIMERP
I used to be part of lots of gangs on SchoolRP, though my approach is more narrative driven. I'm not particularly active in combat or rolling situations, as I prefer P2l roleplay, where it emphasizes on realism. My focus has always been on storytelling of my character, exploring delinquent gangs, yakuza and so on. I've used criminalRP as character growth. While I've since stepped away from being active crimeRP, I have learned a lot from it.

EMS
This has been and still is my favourite faction so far. It's the only faction I have been in. It offered me a complete new perspective on the server, not just roleplay, but also how I work and communicate with others. When I applied, I didn't think I'd be accepted, but here we are, it's the most rewarding experience I've had on SRP. It has taught how to work under pressure where I couldn't before. It has helped me grow as both a roleplayer and how to work with teams. It has pushed me to refine my detailRP and take more initiative in scenes. I've developed my character so much, through just genuine interactions. I've built many friendships like this and got the opportunity to even become a paramedic, which is for sure a milestone for me.

BUILD TEAM
Joining the build team has been such an honour. I've been helping with mostly events, but I've done a few permanent builds. This is something that keeps me hooked. The team full of talented people. I really enjoy working with them and even became good friends withs one of them. I've learned new techniques and expressed my creativity. It's a completely different side of SRP that allows me to express my creativity.

TRIVIA QUESTIONS
└────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──────┘

✮ What is the student council and what do they do?:

The Student Council is made up of dedicated students who put their energy into maintaining order within the school, they work to improve the environment for students and faculty. The council serves as a bridge between students and faculty, to ensure that communication flows smoothly and concerns are addressed.

It's about representation and responsibility. Council members are choosing for the ability to act with fairness and maturity. They represent the voices of their peers, gather feedback, ideas and concerns. They present them in a constructive way. This allows the council to play a direct role in shaping how the school responsibilities. Daily responsibilities often involve monitoring halls, monitoring halls and assisting teachers. They help maintain structure either during class or between periods. Council members often are expected to set a positive example. Their presence are their to help reinforce the school's values, ensuring people are accountable in a fair manner.

Beyond just rule enforcement and presenting the student body, it also thrives as an organizational force. Members collaborate to plan and host events. These activities are there to strengthen student participation and foster a sense of community.

✮ What motivated you to apply for council? (e.g. Interests, friends, etc.):
I decided to apply for the student council because I've drawn to leadership and community. While it's a big part of my motivation, I also want to contribute to the wider environment. I've experienced many sides of the server, from clubs, EMS and build team, I wish to be more involved in the school part of SchoolRP. I've learned how fun teamwork is and new communities. The council gives me a new opportunity and responsibility which I haven't had. I'm always open for personal growth and character growth and I've learned that factions are a great way to go about it. In less than three months I will have been part of EMS for over a year and while I do enjoy the responsibility I get there. I'm looking for something new to try.

Another part of my motivation is friends and peers, I've met plenty of people in the college council which whom I wish to interact more. I've become friends with a few of them and the way they described sounded like something enjoyable.

Are you aware that you’ll be having to use your creativity and teamwork ethic within the student council? (e.g. Coming up and helping with events):

Yes, absolutely. I'm fully aware that being part of the council requires a strong sense of creativity and teamwork.

✮ Can you list the roles in the council along with other roles that might be important to the council?:
President
The highest ranking student leader, which is responsible for overseeing council activities, leading meetings and representing the student body.
Vice-President
Supports the president in managing the council and steps up during their absence.
Councillor
Work closely with student body and faculty, maintaining order. They assist with events and address student concerns
Faculty
Any and or all faculty will be important, as you will be communicating with them if there is issues around them.

✮ While students gather for a school assembly, one student behaves disruptively, causing a disturbance. How would you manage the situation to restore order effectively while minimizing any additional disruptions to the assembly?

Seren moved forward slightly, before he began.

"If a student were to behave disruptively during a school assembly... My first priority would be to de-escalate the situation and that without drawing unnecessary attention to it. I'd approach it in a calm manner, just by moving closer. Proximity alone can change behaviours. I'd probably say somethin' along the lines of 'Hey, let's step away for a moment.' It's to keep privacy which avoids turnin' the disruption into a performance for others"

Eyes would drag to the side, thinking through his phrasing, before flicking them back.

"When we have stepped away, I'm just going to talk them and figure out what's going on. I really do not believe in punishment should be used as a first resort. I'd try and talk it through, making sure that they understand their behaviour and what for impact it has. Of course, if it's a repeated pattern, I'd issue the right punishment, but not after I tried handlin' it appropriately and fairly. The goal isn't really to restore order. I want to maintain dignity for everyone involved, not humiliate a student. It's about control and communication."

✮ A student refuses to take their mask off after you’ve brought up detention and they’ve run away! What do you do?

He let out an exaggerated exhale, straightening his posture.

"I wouldn't chase after them. That's really not my thing, that'd only make things worse. My first move would prevent the situation from drawing unnecessary attention. With other students around, I'd signal for them to stay in place or focused. I'd note where the student went"

He taps his fingers lightly on his leg.

"After that, I'd report it to faculty right away. I'd explain what led up to the incident and giving them as much context as possible. Chasin' the student down would just add tension, for me it's important that it's told in a fair way. They would probably intercom the student towards the front desk."

He draws his eyebrows flat, eyes looking around.

"Do they not come to the front desk.. Later on, when things have settled. I'd try to talk to the student , try and see if I can help them open up about what pushed them to that point. I really want to handle it in such a way that it helps people learn from it. Though, because they still decided to run away after I tried talkin' to them. I wouldn't do it without issuing a punishment."

✮ A teacher observes concerning behavior from a student, including the creation of disturbing artwork and verbal threats toward peers. How would you collaborate with the teacher to evaluate the situation and intervene appropriately to address potential safety concerns?
Expression started sobering as he listened to the question.

"If a teacher approached me about a student showin' disturbing behaviour, I'm going to take that seriously."

His hands clasp loosely, fingers interlacing.

"The first step would be collaboration. Talk to the teacher to gather clear details. Context being everything. From there, depending on severity it will be either just detention and or SLT report. I'd make sure students are out of harm's way and don't surround the student who is showing such behaviour. Once the risk is contained, it's important to focus the shift on the student. I'd support arrangin' a private conversation. The goal is to both prevent it and support."

A group of students asks for your permission to stage a protest on school grounds. Would you allow them to protest? If so, how do you ensure that the protest does not disrupt the school environment while upholding their freedom of expression?

Shifted around, now maintaining a more slouched posture

"Yeah, I'd allow them to protest, only if it's a structured and safe approach. Freedom of expression is very important and especially in an academic environment. It's just as important to make sure exercisin' that right doesn't the safety and comfort of others."

He raised his hand, guiding it through the air

"The first step is to get into a meeting with them and ask about their purpose. If anything I'd also help them draft a proposal. If their cause and approach are reasonable, I'd fully approve it, making sure they have a designated area to protest and a time limit. Maybe even encourage open dialogue with faculty, so it becomes more constructive and not a disruption."

✮ A teacher/receptionist has told you that you are doing something that goes against what you were trained by your higher-ups. How would you react to this?

Narrowed his eyes, half-lidded.

"I would listen to what they're saying. I guess, it's easy to react defensively in that moment. I'll be sure to thank them for bringin' it to my attention and make sure I get all the details .After that, I'd compare it with what I was taught to do, if I realize I misunderstood or made an error, I would just acknowledge it and correct myself. It's better to learn from it, than defend yourself."

He'd lean back slightly.

"Now.. If there's a conflict between what I was taught to do and what I'm being told. I'd first apologise for the error and after that search for a superior, playing the bigger man is better than staying defensive. Searching for the superior is to see if the policies are consistent. I'm willing to adapt, but I'd like to stay on top if it all.

✮ Please provide at least one detailed event that the council can use as a future event to showcase your creativity! (Must be 300 words or more for one event):

Career Experience Fair

This gives students opportunity to explore different paths and learn about factions that operate outside the school. While it does have similarities to college internships, this is tailored to all students, including highschool. each faction hosts a dedicated zones where students can interact and learn. Unlike actual school activities this is about active participation and teamwork. Each students is encouraged to explore multiple zones and learn skills that is practical for the real world. The fair should allow students to explore zones and interact with faction members who serve as mentors. While it might be chaotic to have them there all at once, you could have each week a faction come by. It's so they can interact with them within the school, instead of outside. It's to balance education and fun, giving students the freedom to make choices while following realistic career simulations.

EMS Zone
In this zone students step into the role of medical responders. They should be taught how to perform and treat minor injures. There should be a triage challenge where a person is presented with multiple patients, which students can roleplay and they must determine the priority of care based on severity.

KPD zone
Learning law enforcement first hand. They participate in mock crime scenes, interrogations, which can include hostage situations. Students can learn about procedures for maintaining public safety, following protocols and working together under pressure. Mini games like "arrest missions" can be fun.

Government Zone
The inner workings of governance. They can participate in debates and policy drafting exercises. Activities can include proposing and defending initiatives and negotiating solutions with other students. This is mostly about public speaking.

News Zone.
This allows students to step into the shoes of journalists, photographers and reporters. Students may be assigned to cover a particular zone of the fair and report back on activities, conduct interviews with students and gather information for the school newspaper or for the actual newspaper.

Shrine zone
Focusing on religious, cultural and historical practices. Students can participate in interactive lessons where they learn how to do rituals, ceremonies and traditional customs. Other stuff can include Tarot Card reading.

✮ Name:

Drew his brows straight

"Seren Fowler."

✮ Gender:
A brief, matter of fact response

"Male."

✮ Age:

Posture straight, with a faint nod of acknowledgment

"Twenty."

✮ Phone number:
Hesitated for a second

"(81+) (030)-286-9442."

✮ How would you describe your personality?:

Adjusted his posture slightly, settling somewhere in the distance.

"I have no clue what box to shove my personality into, it isn't the easiest to label. If I have to describe myself, I can say I am practical, I pay attention and observe. I always need a purpose to act and never will act without it, even if I don't always explain it."

There was an awareness behind his words, he has done this dance before.

"People call me detached, maybe even toss cold in the mix. I prefer to think, before I really dump my emotions everywhere. It's easy to lose control when you act on impulse and I've been there before. I have a sharp mouth, it's easier to deal with honesty, than to sugar coat my words. Sarcasm happens sometimes, it's not there to hurt people, though.

A dry chuckle left him, the kind is there to hide the self awareness.

"Loyalty is a big, I don't just back out, I commit to things I've said I will commit to. I have set high a high bar for myself and while I do have high standards, I expect the same from the people around me. I'm never part of the loud people in the room, I prefer to be quiet where I can. I can lead where needed, but I prefer the background more, observing and to figure out what's wrong and fix it in an efficient way."

✮ Appearance/attire (Please provide a picture):

OEightONe (1).jpg

✮ What separates you from other applicants seeking your position?:

"I approach people and problems differently. I do not rush nor act on extreme emotions. I've learned that reading the situation and understanding what's going on with people, not judge by the first thing they said or the way they acted. I don't get overwhelmed in situations, I'm pretty much always grounded. That is not something that is taught, it's something you pick up along the way."

Gaze was kept steady, showing he's not just giving a rehearsed answer.

"Authority isn't control for me, it's to keep balance. People need someone to understand them and often they'll listen to others who do understand them, not just because people are above them. I don't see it as power, it's a responsibility for me. Taking this seriously. I can adapt and think on my feet easily at the same time."

His hands clasped back together, a subtle sign of restraint.

When conflict is in front of me, I don't try to just stop it, I try to understand it."

✮ Why do you want this position?:

His voice carried a bit of nervousness, but it had intention.

"I have seen plenty of times what happens when people don't stand up, when problems are ignore or they spiral out of control. I've been the student on the other side who didn't feel seen or heard I've been the student on the other side who didn't feel seen or heard plenty of times. I can say with a certainty, I'm not the only one out there. I want to be the improvement I want to see, maybe I do speak highly of myself now. I can see how this is easier said, than done."

He lets out a slow exhale through his nose.
"I'm really not interested in the title, at all. I'm going to try and shape the environment where students feel comfortable enough to speak their minds, help the school function the way it's supposed to. If we're being honest. I want to also be able prove myself to others. That I am be more than what people expect. I've made plenty of mistakes, I'm twenty. I've learned from them, though and this is a way to show I have really grown."

✮ What interests you the most about student council?:
Took a quiet moment for himself, before he answered.

"The dynamic between people, that's what really keeps me interested. The council has the ability to set examples and solve issues. That kind of meaningful impact is something I've always really valued. I'm drawn to the structure, people and the idea that you can organize chaos, turn the complaints in something useful."

A faint smirk tugged at his expression.

"It also acts as a bridge between students and faculty and I've always believed there is a middle ground in everything, so this really makes me hooked. I enjoy responsibility, a role where people rely on you and do actually something that matters."

✮ What could you contribute to make the school a safe and fun environment?:

Exhales, rubbing at the back of his head, thinking.

"I know there are councillors who can and will c
contribute way more than I will. People who have been here longer, are stronger voices in the crowd. I won't pretend to outshine them. What I can promise is that I'll do my best to support them and carry my weight. My strength lies in being the quiet one in the room, not the loudest.. I do know one thing, I will notice it all, I don't mind being behind the scenes. I learn from stuff, I make stuff really happen the way the should."

He quietly added onto it.

"I don't want someone everyone remembers, but I can be the person that people rely on. That's the contribution I can make."
