Why are Teachers so important to SchoolRP?:
Teachers on SchoolRP are really important! They make the whole school roleplay a very fun and realistic experience for everyone both in character and out of character by ensuring students and other faculty staff members are having a good time on the server. In character the teachers portray a role model for students by showing them how to follow rules, respect others, and overall making them have a good roleplay experience with everyone they speak to. Since they are role models they act mature and set a great example for any student that attends their class and follows their teachings.
Teachers also host classes where any student can attend to learn new things about the subject they are teaching, and have fun aswell learning these things by having hosting activities and assigning homework so students can have a opportunity to put all the knowledge they learn to use. They make sure to always interact with Students and make sure they are okay, they provide lots of information when a student is lost or needs help and making sure they are where they need to be. Teachers are also what keeps the server alive because it is a real person who takes care of the homework, and classes and more its not like a robot or a program that would be doing any of the work. It creates such a realistic experience that is why a lot of students become intrigued into the roleplay side interacting with teachers and faculty because they know the responses will always be human like, and because they learn a lot from all the experiences they have in the server. Being a Teacher gives that little excitement to do good in classes or avoid detention. Also being that they can give detention they must make sure every student is following the rules and if they aren't then a punishment would be detention.
To finalize all I have written, a teacher is very important to School Roleplay because they provide more experiences for everyone, more learning abilities, and more character development for some. They host activities and classes, and give homework to ensure students are interacting and not being bored walking around.

Do you acknowledge that if you are inactive you may lose your role?: Yes
Do you agree to undergo teacher training if your application is successful?: Yes

In-Character Section

What's your character's full name?: Yareli Marisol-Esperanza
What is your character's nationality?: Mexican
What is your preferred subject to teach?: Science (Biology)

Describe your character:
Yareli M-Esperanza is a girl in her High School years who only ever stands out because of her long flowing dark-colored hair and her stunning way of dressing, and aesthetic. She's Mexican but didn't grow up in Mexico, she lived in America where she didn't grow up with much family around so she learned to take care of herself from a young age till she became very independent. At the start of High School she became quite rebellious when joining a bike club, she even got into a life filled with crime due to her boyfriend at the time but she had to leave town for personal reasons and coming back she made a lot of connections and reconnected with old friends. She decided to turn her life around and became more mature and studious, finding a passion for biology and other scientific subjects, her life became more peaceful and she started following all the rules and instructions.
Being a Rebel however has never gotten her in trouble, she never once spent time in Jail nor did she get caught or in trouble with her parents. She was involved in a lot of trespassing because her boyfriend at the time would push her to do things, and eventually she changed her ways once she attended a aquarium and saw how the world was changing and turning worse by the time. This drove her to change completely, she started volunteering at beaches and finding jobs and lots of researching. This gave her motivation.

What is your character's outlook on students and co-workers?:
My character Yareli wants to help others seek their own passion for science like biology which is her favorite subject. She thinks it would be great to show others how things work and would love to help other people find the excitement, and interest. She wishes to be very helpful if she were to be a teacher, she would want to always interact with the faculty and students. She is known to be very respectful when talking to both co-workers and students and she is super hardworking hoping others would notice that too.
Yareli believes small actions can make a big difference like helping another teacher with their classroom or explaining a project for a class, or being able to give advice to anyone who wants it. She wishes to be a inspiring figure for everyone and to learn new things on her adventure while helping others find it too.
She loves her fellow students, always chatting with people and learning new connections and how to keep a friendship going. and she worked once with a few co-workers and had no problem helping them when help was needed. she would always be one call away if needed.

What is your character's motivation for teaching?:
Yareli's motivation for teaching is to be a inspiring role model for students, being able to teach them about the biology subject and to help them figure out how cells work. She wants to make school a place where people can learn multiple subjects, and growing up her favorite was science but it wasn't being taught much so she wants to help students have multiple class options and take Biology as one of them to learn the interesting facts and do fun activities. Being in classes herself she always found some teacher's ways of teaching to be super interesting and fun so she looked up to that and wanted to be like them growing up or if she became a teacher herself which is what she wants to do. to give students that same motivation to seek more knowledge and being able to teach a class that's fun and have a good time with everyone
Her passion grows with the thought of having students someday and being a teacher, and helping them learn the things that so excite her about life. The amazing cycle of the plants, and nature. Her ultimate goal is to teach others and help increase their knowledge in Science and answer any questions anyone may have for her. She loves being able to learn about others and hope she can make a difference in the world by being able to help others learn the crisis in the world such as climate change, and what happens in the ocean that causes harm to animals. Being able to help change the world is one of her biggest goals and if she can just teach students and others about it, then maybe they can start making a difference in the world by spreading the information and helping others learn ways to take care of endangered species, and climate change and what can be done today to fix things.

Roleplay Scenarios

A student in class is struggling to understand the content, what would your character do?:
Yareli would most likely notice the student struggling to understand and she would find ways to make them understand by making things more simple, either explaining the lecture at a slower pace or explaining things in a much more simple way and check where they got lost so she can put them back on the right path and explain more on the subject. If she saw they were still struggling to keep up she would patiently repeat herself and go over the topic again and show other fun ways on how they can remember it like she does.
She would encourage them to continue with the lecture and speak to her after class if needed more help studying or asking questions on the homework or anything to do with the lecture. Yareli likes to make sure that everyone understands and is in a somewhat level like everyone is kind of understanding the problem and is comfortable enough with the topic to be more participant in the next classes.

A student is continuously being disruptive in class, talking out of turn, and making jokes with classmates. What would your character do?:
She would first ignore it but seeing they are continuing to do the same actions and being disruptive she would in a respectful and kind manner. She wouldn’t get mad because she was once in that position herself, so she would understand that maybe they want attention or having a bad day so she would give them a warning telling them to pay attention and to stop what they are doing or to “Please do not disrupt others learning”. She would try to keep the focus on the rest of the class but if they are continuing to be very disruptive she would warn them to be kicked out of the classroom and in a further case where they are doing something against the rules like being disrespectful or starting a fight with another student then she would be forced to give them detention. In summary If they are in class and continue to being disrespectful to others or being disruptive she would warn them a few times before taking action and kicking them out the class or speaking to them after class to get a more view on why they were acting such a way before assuming things.

Provide at least 2 interactive class ideas related to your preferred subject:

Class One:
‘BIOCHEMISTRY’
(Lecture Class + Activity + Homework)

Before starting the class topic, she would write on the board the topic for the class “Biochemistry” and patiently wait 5-10 minutes (in-game) for students to join her class. As she waited for time to pass she greeted each student that sat down in her classroom and had small chats with them to hear and learn more about her students and to also introduce herself. Once all her Students were prepared and ready to learn; she had prepared a question for her students. “Can anyone tell me what Biochemistry means?” and to motivate her students she told them that whoever answered first would get a sticker or a piece of candy.
Once somebody answered, she would begin her lecture by explaining Biochemistry: “Biochemistry is the study of the chemical processes and substances that occur within living organisms. What this means.. Is the study of how living things work by looking at tiny chemicals inside them.”
And she would give an example to make things more clear: “Every living thing is made up of cells, correct? So! Inside those cells there are molecules like proteins, fats, sugars, and even DNA! Well, Biochemistry is how those molecules are made, work, and how they keep you alive”
She gave a moment for others to ask questions. “Would anyone have a question? Or a doubt?”
And if nobody asked questions, she would continue class: “So Biochemistry is the chemistry of life, as we previously talked about it is all those molecules that we are studying, so Lets do a simple ‘Who am I’ game to start us of! Whoever scores the most points will get a sticker or a price! We will be using questions like DNA, Protein, Sugar or Gluecose, Lipid or Fat, and RNA ”. She asked questions like “I carry all your genetic information, who am I?” “I’m sweet and give you quick energy, who am I?” “I’m fat that stores energy for later, who am I?” And so after that activity, she gave the price and class was soon over. But before it was over she mentioned there would be homework on the subject, and next class will be a continuing of Biochemistry with another fun activity. Then she would give the students time to ask questions before the bell rings, and finally tell everyone goodbyes once the bell rang.

HOMEWORK IDEA:
Q1:
“What is Biochemistry? And what does it study?” we spoke about it in class.
Q2: “Inside cells there are molecules, give me a 3 examples of a few molecules you would find” Hint: I gave 4 examples in class.
Q3: A fun little question! “What colour is your Journal for Science Class?” (it wont affect your grade)

Class Two: ‘PHOTOSYNTHESIS’
(Lecture Class w/ Visual Examples + In-School Field Trip)

After a lot of preparing she decided this class topic would be perfect for a small Field Trip. She waited for her students to enter the classroom then when everyone sat down and was ready to begin class, she asked them all to stand up by their desks and choose if they wished for a In-School Field trip or stay in the classroom and get a boring lecture class with homework.
If the students decided on the In-School field trip: She told them all to line up by the door and follow her as they made their way to the Greenhouse next to the Gym, they entered the ‘Plant Nursery Greenhouse’ and advised all her students to wash their hands before touching anything. She asked all her students to sit down close to her so they can all see and hear the lesson perfectly. She grabbed the bonsai tree sitting on the counter by the sink, and carefully hold it up so everyone can see the tree, and she began pointing and examining the bonsai tree as she carried with her lesson. “Photosynthesis is the biological process by which plants, algae, and certain bacteria convert light energy into chemical energy to fuel their growth.” she moved placed the tree back on the counter and looked around. “Photosynthesis is basically how plants make their own food! Can anyone tell me three things plants need or take to make make sugar, and oxygen?” She waited for all her students to give the three examples then she began explaining why they needed those three things. “So Plants use sunlight as energy, It’s like what powers the plant to be able to make food, Then they also use water to stay alive but! It also plays a major part in making sugar.” “And of course, Carbon Dioxide that they pull from the air into very tiny holes in their leaves.” “In Summary, Plants need Sunlight for energy, Water, and Carbon Dioxide are used as ingredients to make Sugar and Oxygen.”

“Photosynthesis has a cycle” she grabbed the bonsai tree and held it firmly and close to her body. “The plant takes the sunlight” she pointed to the roof that was made out of glass letting the sun through, she held the bonsai tree higher to where it met the sunlight. “The leaves here in this bonsai tree, are the ones that grab the sunlight letting it go through the body, Chlorophyll is the green pigment in leaves that's the one that absorbs the sunlight. The light is then used to power chemical reactions inside the chloroplasts but I wont confuse you guys with that. You just need to know that the Light is absorbed by the Chlorophyll in the leaves.” she lowered the bonsai tree and tilted it a little showing around the classroom the pot covered with dirt where the bonsai tree was inserted. “Next, The roots suck up the water from the soil that they get from rain or being watered and carry it up the stem into the leaves. It’s hard to use this Bonsai tree as an example but you get the idea.” “Can anyone tell me the scientific term for Water?” then they answer. “Yes! H2O rises to the leaves, but leaves also absorb Carbon Dioxide from the air, also known as CO2. Then Inside the leaf all these things that the leaves collected get mixed together to create Sugar which is what the plant feeds of, it makes its own food supply. And Tthe plant releases Oxygen into the air coming out of the leafs.” “The plant also uses Sugar to grow, make new leaves, and stay alive and thats how the cycle continues and why they live so long. Next Class I will explain things more in debt and using the scientific terms so pay close attention so you aren’t lost and for the homework.”
“The cycle begins with Sunlight, Water, Carbon Dioxide, Makes Sugar, Releases Oxygen, and Grows, Repeat”

Class Three: 'Classification of Living things'

(Lecture Class + Project w/ Homework)

For this next topic it would be Classification of Living things, it is a bit more research and talking based, with less activity because there would be a lot to explain. She would start explaining things using a pyramid method to help students know the popular order classifications would be in. After explaining every category for the pyramid she would ask students to make a small project for a grade! She would ask them all to make a pyramid using the names of each category to label each part of the pyramid it helps get everyone involved and helps use the memory to use! And their homework would be based on the project they did
