Hi there! For those that don't know, the Occult Club has an event every October, and this year I had the pleasure of running the event myself as the Club Lead for this October! This was a combined effort of course with many different people involved, all of which I'll leave a mention at the end credits. To immortalise this storyline for all you lovely people, here's a writeup of what occurred this year for the Occult Club ....

Well there it is! That's the whole storyline of October 2025 for the Occult Club! And yes we are accepting .. now this only occurs each October and I'm so grateful that I had the chance to make this a fun time for my club members and those that joined in outside the club. I want to leave quick list of those that helped me out this October with all various aspects of writing, planning, brainstorming and roleplaying"

Of course this wouldn't have been possible without your prior approval! Thanks for putting up with my terrible quota tracking and deadlines. I really hope it was all worth it and I look forward to being a great Club Leader for you in the coming months!
Aania
For playing Satomi Kato and being the perfect person to go to when we need plot escalation and a scapegoat for all the problems the club faced. It was a little too easy at times to have excuses for why Satomi did certain things. It was great fun!

Big thanks for the amazing building work. I'm atrocious with building as you know, so it was so handy to have someone there whole could bring the original 1967 club room to life for all to see.

I'm so glad we eventually brought Hebi-san to life, the original occult club leader of the 1960s. Such a cool opportunity, and I'm looking forward to seeing where you take this new spirit character in the future. I'd say the reveal at the ritual was so cool, I loved it.

Thanks for being there at the very beginning when we were in the planning phase, it was great to get everything verified and corrected so that it made sense in the wider lore of SRP. Also .. we never really did get all those diary entries written huh ..

My assistant club lead! Thanks for keeping the club in check icly and oocly whilst I was working on this event. I definitely neglected some of my Club Lead duties in the mean time whilst this was happening, so thanks for keeping the boat sailing for me!
The Occult Club as a Whole!
This event literally couldn't have happened without you guys, thank you so much. As I said this was my first 'event' that I've ran, it's been so awesome and I hope you all enjoyed it! We'll keep things fun for the Occult Club over the next few months, we have our club's 2 year anniversary on the 18th January and a blood moon in irl Japan coming in March!

'Echoes of the Past'
An Occult Club October Event
Long ago, in the year 1967 a ritual was completed in the club room. The original 5 club members were looking to lengthen their own lives. They believed they were to sacrifice the life of another being to do so, and Hebi-San's pet snake was chosen as the life to sacrifice. Yet ... these 5 weren't event above the age of 17 at the time. And the Grimoire they read from, being given by a mysterious outsider was written in ancient languages and hieroglyphics. Unknowingly, Hebi-San, the Club Leader at the time, lead the ritual and bound part of his soul to that snake. After the ritual seemed to have failed, and as a faculty member quickly approached the club room, they hid the evidence of the recently deceased snake underneath the floorboards, unknowingly with part of Hebi-San's soul still bound to that very same pet.
Decades passed, and the Hebi-San that was left behind began under the floor of the clubroom slowly began to hear those around him, the footsteps and conversations of students above. It was only until the year 2025, when Occult Club Grimoire found itself in the hands of a certain Amanojaku 'Satomi Kato', who had an agenda agains the current club room. She'd been around since 1963, and had been developing a hatred for the club ever since. She saw them as parasites, students that constantly bickered and argued with one another. She wished to show them a better time, one where the club was proper, functional and cooperative. The time she chose .. was the year 1967.
And so it began, in mid September 2025, she planted a small but growing Time Veil in the club room. It first started infecting the central wall of the room, the old wall from the 60s showing through. This veil continued to grow in size until October 1st, when the veil passed over that very snake that had lay underneath the floor for the past 60 years. An explosion occured, excelling the rate of growth to take over the whole club in an instant flash. But unknowingly, two students by the name of Harry Shima and Madoka Baek were right at the epicentre the moment the transition occured.
The moment the explosion occured, Hebi-San's soul that was bound to the snake had no where else to go now that the snake had physically disappeared, replaced with the club room of '67. His soul was left searching for another vessel, and coincidentally, a certain one eyed club leader was in the right place at the wrong time, a perfect vessel. Madoka Beak herself found her taking on the personality of Usagi-San, another of the original 5. While Madoka simply took on the personality of Usagi-San, Harry Shima found his whole appearance affected. Half of his hair turned jet black, and a brown eye appeared in what used to be an empty eye socket. The very same brown eye of Hebi-San. Throughout the next 30 days of October, Harry would find his every thought in competition with another, those of the original club leader of 1967.
As the club members explored their new club room the following morning and throughout October, they'd find their own minds begin to twist and become moulded by the room. After all, every time they stepped into the club room, they literally stepped into the year 1967. This began to have an effect on their minds. They'd forget modern technologies, struggle to remember friendly faces and find their way around the modern layout of Karakura. And the symptoms would only get worse throughout the month, soon towards the latter end of the month, they completely forgot how to operate modern technology, including their phones.
The club members found themselves sticking together, attempting to find a solution to both the club room, and Harry Shima's constant personality changes. All while their friends and families watched helplessly as they transitioned to the mind of the 1967 Karakuran Student before their very eyes. Something had to be done ..
As the month came to a close, and once all other options were exhausted, Hebi-San had convinced the club to gather up materials from around the island, each signifying a certain element. He'd discovered an old diary entry, in the Karakura library, with some notes and ritual instructions for an exorcism. With some guesswork and calculations, he figured it could be the key to separating himself with Harry Shima. He required, Wind - Rocks from atop the highest mountain in karakura, Fire - Ash from burnt Ochiba Forest wood, Water - Blessed water from the shrine, Soul - The very same snake that held Hebi-San's soul for so many years, and finally Vessel - Harry Shima himself.
Once the club members had gathered these items, they met in the club room to complete the ritual, the club member Tatsumi Tojo providing all but one ingredient. The Snake. This critical ingredient had been secured by another club member, Seren Fowler in his attempt to halt the ritual. He believed the ritual to be flawed, potentially dangerous and could result in either Harry or Hebi's soul being eliminated from existence entirely. That 50/50 chance didn't sit well with him. While a fair point of view, it was a major setback to the ritual. And if that wasn't the worst issue, two students by the name of Vechozzz and Soph smashed the very Ouiji board they planned to use in the ritual, moments before it was set to take place!
With some quick actions, and a spare Ouiji board being found, the ritual continued. Hebi-San had come this far, he wasn't about to let some stubborn and uneducated students get in the way of his own freedom. They carried out the ritual, despite the incomplete ingredients list. After some strange incantations and blinding flashes of light, by some miracle, Hebi-san was separated from Harry! Although .. this was only half of the job. These two found themselves unable to wander any more than 20 metres from each other. And unlike other spirits, where a hand shake attempt might result in an awkward lack of physical connection, Harry and Hibe san were able to interact with each other as normal. It appeared these two were still linked ..
But that would have to wait, they had a time veil to stop. The made their way to Classroom 312 to confront the evil amanojaku that had stolen their Grimoire, but what they found was far more sinister. Over the past month, the illegitimately acquired Grimoire that Satomi had stolen from the club a few months prior had begun to corrupt the demon. Their form had become darker, sinister, with dark black tendrils emerging from behind her from, she still barely held the visage of that poor student she corrupted all those years ago. The Grimoire was corrupted her, and she blamed the club. She demanded they take it from her, or they'd see the wrath of a corrupted amanojaku, with no remorse nor control over her own actions. A ceremony must take place ...
On November 5th, 2025 a Ceremony took place at the schools auditorium to officially and symbolically transition the Grimoire from the hands of this amanojaku, back to the rightful hands of the Occult Club. Harry Shima, the current acting club leader stood, rather ironically, beside the once club leader of Hebi-San as the custodian of the Grimoire. On the opposite side of the stage stood one Mei Miura, the keeper of the Grimoire. Then in-between the two stood Erik Finster, an Ex-Leader of the Occult Club. For mortals to wield the power of the Grimoire, and to prevent it from reaching the wrong hands, only one may hold the Grimoire, and only another may read the contents of the book. These were the rules that 'Satomi Kato' broke when she intercepted the original ceremony, and she had seen the consequences of her actions.
The Ceremony, despite all the earlier speed bumps and issues, managed to run smoothly enough. The Grimoire was surrendered by the Amanojaku, and was safely back in the hands of Mei Miura, on behalf of the Occult Club. Although .. 'Satomi Kato' didn't want to leave without adding a bit of spice to the mix, a certain mark was left with the keeper of the Grimoire, something to remember her by? Or something more sinister ..

And so we arrive at the present day. As of writing this, the mark that was left on Mei Miura is currently unknown. Harry Shima continued to be haunted by the soul of Hebi-san to this day, constantly whispering and muttering to that annoying voice stood beside him. Was this the only thing that Satomi Kato achieved with her time with the Grimoire? Are there more hints of the destruction and meddling around Karakura that this amanojaku may have left? Will we ever truly separate Hebi-San from Harry Shima now that the Grimoire is in the Occult Clubs possession? And are we aware of the true extent, of the mark that was left on Mei Miura's arm.
Christmas is almost upon us, and we're going to need a miracle to fix the mess that this amanojaku has caused this October ...
