Describe your suggestion:

"Oh boy, its this time of the month again? :nerd:" Yes. Yes it is.
Credits to 80sJeremy for the concept + Idea. This is all of his ideas, I simply assisted in polishing and uploading.

Every member of SchoolRP regardless of status has these baseline permissions for Crime Roleplay.

Minor Permissions - Minors permit you to knock someone out, simple as; it’s a temporary (5 minute) incapacitation, and when you wake up you have to wait another 5 minutes to re-enter combat, It has to be justified with proper motive, or minor retaliation. We’ve dealt with this for years now, so granted it be simple.
Major Permissions - This set of permissions allow you to give more serious injuries than simply knocking someone out. Serious injuries are allowed now, however lethal actions are prohibited. The Major set of permissions are gained from Minor Permissions, an example being if you are knocked out, then you gain permissions on anyone involved with the assault, be it you know who they are unmasked.

Note: The first set of combat permissions are simple, to allow them to feel consequences but do not have a chance of ending a life.

MOTIVE SYSTEM

BASIC INFORMATION
Motive Points:

Motive points represent how strongly a victim remembers an encounter involving disrespect or hostility. When the victim gains 3 Motive points against an aggressor, the event becomes a lasting memory for the victim’s character. This 3-point memory applies only to the victim, unless the aggressor also reaches 3 Motive points from the victim’s actions. In that case, the memory is mutual.

If the situation ends before reaching 3 points, the interaction is forgotten.

Minor Points:
Minor points track the build-up of smaller acts of aggression within an encounter. When Minor points reach 6, the victim is permitted to KO the aggressor. Minor points do not serve as the memory like motive points, and are simply there for players to know when they’re allowed to use minor permissions.

All points expire in an OOC week; Motive points are not permanent ; Once the motive points expire, the memory is forgotten, or at least the intent to cause harm is.

THE SYSTEM
Motive = 3 pts needed
Minors = 6 pts needed

- Insult/Provocation -> 1 point
“You look like you crawled out of a dumpster. pee-yew!”
- Threat/Intimidation/Warning -> 2 points
“I'm gonna beat your a**.”
- Harassment -> 3 pts
“Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey. TALK TO ME!!!”
- Theft/Robbery/Scamming/Assault (unless weapon, move to majors) -> 6 pts + mug perms on what was stolen / scammed.
mugs apple - “Ooo, why i oughta!”

Example:
- Player A insults player B 3 times -> +3 Motive Points
- Player A harasses Player B -> +3
- Player B has 6 motive points on Player A, thus they're allowed to execute Minor Permissions.

General Rules all must follow
1. Do not bait permissions. Please. Do not walk up to a random person, without any sort of reason and start dogging on them. In the case this happens to you, just allow the roleplay to continue, but /help for a staff member. It is important to never stall in an IC situation unless you’re being actively harassed OOCly and feel uncomfortable.
- In school generally going up to a person and dogging on them is allowed if they dress or act weirdly, as that is considered simple “bullying.”

2. Roleplay. Roleplay. Roleplay. No, you don’t have to write an essay on how you moved your hand, or how you talked, you just need to roleplay the situation out, rather than immediately trying to bait the point system and assault the person. They insult you, provide a realistic response (“What the hell bro? What's your problem?”) The rest is self explanatory, i don’t need to explain human reactions.

Unverified Gangs and Higher
- Once a player gains a specific gang status within the community

These new set of permissions would allow players, involved in the uvg/vg community, to have an extensive roleplay rather than having just a KO, stab, Kill. The idea is to have perms in between majors and KPS, which for this will be called "VITAL." Vital is a set of permissions which allow a player to remove a singular limb from a player, which is seen as more personal towards the character it has been dealt to. This allows sufficient motive to kill that said character that inflicted the damage, as that damage is life altering.

A more extensive example is below to allow players to understand this system more.

- Player B knocks out Player A while unmasked.
- Player A runs up to Player B and stabs them in the abdomen / liver.
- Player B receives recovery, but gains intel on who player A was.
- Player B leaves recovery, finds Player A and inflicts VITAL damage onto their character (removal of a limb.)
- Player A is devastated by this life altering damage, and decides to kill off Player B for good.

Thus permissions would go as is: Minors -> Majors -> Vital -> Kps.

The purpose of this addition is purely for the aspect of roleplay, and for KPS to be a last resort. Please keep in mind that regardless of what community you are in, you’re killing off someone's character that may have tons of lore. Please respect that and do not be rushing or toxic to the player you’re executing the permissions to.

General Rules all must follow
1. Roleplay, like always, please. I beg.
2. Limb removals are limited to: Hands, Arms and Legs. Anything further is considered GoreRP. In addition to this, actions must be heavily vague, for example: “Gripping the Katana’s handle tightly, sending the blade downwards onto the arm.”
- If this is considered "too vague," you can always put in "/it arm was removed," after doing the action. Staff can also give guidance towards this if needed.

How will this benefit the server and community?:
Motive is persistent, realistic, and allows for more roleplay. Not to mention the system for Minors is a lot more organized and controlled.
(plus u can pull a [name] will remember that... in /it lol)
More crime rate, KPD have more altercations to attend to, fun for all.

Additional Notes: I did not include my IGN in the application because its in my username, and the account is linked so you can also see it below; but also because it looked very off in the post and i did not like it.

Neutral. Motive points will be tedious to keep track off and sort of makes encounters involve math. Good idea for systems that involve more than /roll 150 to get a result though. Plus, I do not think I like the idea of an outside system controlling the way my character can 'remember' things.

Escalation from Major to Vital to KPS is a nice idea in my opinion, as long as it's kept to UVGs/VGs since it adds another layer to gain proper motive to act on KPS. It will make it less likely to enter an argument in LOOC chat since a prosthetic is just 25k and losing a limb, from an out-of-character point of view, is not as drastic as KPS.

TL;DR? Neutral, leaning to +1

I disagree with the KPS rule if anything. I think that anyone should be able to obtain KPS.

This suggestion is amazing, especially the VITAL perms part. I think it allows a bigger aspect of RP rather then straight to KPS. +1

For gangs, absolutely. For players outside of gangrp, absolutely not. Players outside of gangrp who sometimes commit to the aspect of crimerp are essentially doing it for fun only and to add more lore to their character.

The difference between these two is that gangrpers are well aware that they’re going to lose their character and are fine with it, even if it is upsetting. Players outside of that are doing it purely for fun, lore and roleplay, and are not wanting their character to die in those standards yet.

Its also a roleplay server about school so we cant be extremely brutal with that bloodthirsty stuff…

Very fair. Although a lot of things are tedious in the server but still work very well in order to keep things organized; such as initiative rolling, for example.

And yes btw, the idea was for vital perms to be exclusive to uvg/vg, regular players only have minors/majors they’re permitted to use

+1/-1
I do think that having new VITAL permissions would be fire, as that'd mean that I wouldn't have to unmask a 9 stars member and then let them stab me to then be able to kill them. Though I have major issues with two factors of this: The motive point system is one that is just incredibly useless; it's a long process and honestly makes the current system more complicated than it already may be to some. Another issue I have is that we are allowing KPS to be JUST as hard as before. In this you state that the system of killing off a player in a VG gang would require them being UNMASKED, though 99% of UVG members all have masks. I overall think it'd be a cool idea, but I honestly think it won't change much.

Kps is really easy to get in gang vs gang altercations, its nowhere near hard.

right now if someone stabs you with any sort of weapon, its kps if you both are in uvg/vg, and 99% of those circumstances other gang members are there to witness it and they use kps almost instantly.

Also they dont always have to be unmasked, that example was simply there to provide further understanding of how the system worked. The unmasked part was kind of unnecessary on my part as it’s not relevant.

But if this makes kps hard, then good. Kps shouldnt be easy, killing off a character should be taken seriously as you’re killing off someones hard work and lore(regardless of knowledge they may die). This system effectively makes it so killing that character is a last resort.

As for the motive part i may remove that as im starting to see it may not work as well as intended with all different viewpoints. Thanks for your comment btw!<3

Alright, then the KPS rule should be tweaked for KPS to not only be acquired by UVG/VG members or members of a criminal organisation (BMDA, Blood Hounds, Fight Club and Karakura Autos) but ANY member in a gang should be allowed to get KPS. Like just for the sake of realism.

I would agree with this but i think they mainly dont do that to:
1. Balance it out
2. Uvg / vg are easier to verify, rather than one who just says “im in a gang, roll.” Since that can be easily abused.

you can check via gang rosters and if you're not sure you can ask staff to ask.

Isn't gang rosters exclusive to only uvg/vg or is there an actual roster of gangs outside of that?
I'm 99.99% sure that staff keeps tracks of the gangs that are currently existing. Though there isn't an official roster where everyone can see exactly each and every gang, staff do.
