APPLICATION INFORMATION

What position are you applying for?:

I am applying for the lawyer role!
What is your motivation for applying?:
I've been on Srp for a while now and have some knowledge on how the factions function on the server. I've been a part of many different parts of role play, including gang RP in the past, and as I continue to play on the server, I continue to get more drawn towards what other factions have to offer. I'd like to be able to branch out more and see more of the city-wide role play when it comes to the faction.
Do you have an understanding of Karakura’s laws & Constitutional rights?:
Yes, I have a solid understanding of what the laws of Karakura entail and how these laws focus on the different factions, such as the KPD, government, and more. I also have been reading about what the constitutional rights are in the town and what is expected to be upheld when it comes to trials, and just overall, the citizens of Karakura.
What are your goals for being in the Government Faction?:
I hope to be able to express the character I create the way I envision him, as well as make sure to keep up with the rules set for the faction. Overall, I am excited to be able to learn more about the server both in character and out of character, and I hope to be able to build a reputation for myself while being a lawyer.
In your own words, describe the different roles of the Government Faction:
There are a few separate roles in the faction. The two highest roles currently are the mayor and the deputy mayor; they are the main leads of the faction and the two individuals who are most important in the government.

Firstly, there is the judge role. A judge is expected to carry out a few different responsibilities, one of the main ones being to oversee different trials that may be held in the town hall for suspects. You are also allowed to issue warrants for wanted individuals; these warrants may be used to search someone's home if they may possess illegal weaponry. Judges are also in charge of reviewing different cases presented to them; these cases can come from lawyers depicting certain crimes or actions someone may have committed. With this, judges can also officiate marriages for couples, file restraining orders for people, do front desk work that may involve assigning IDs or basic needs for citizens, and finally approve adoption paperwork for people looking to adopt a child.

Lawyers are one of the other roles on Srp, and they are usually involved with the citizens of Karakura when it comes to criminal investigations. Lawyers' main responsibilities are to build up a list of clients for people who could be facing possible legal troubles. There are multiple cases that lawyers may take on, such as lawsuits against other people, divorce court for married individuals when it comes to sharing or splitting property, as well as criminal trials that can stem from different police investigations. There can be public as well as private trials that take place depending on the situation. Lawyers are also suspected to consistently keep up with their clients regularly to keep them in the know of any legal matters that may change. Finally, you are expected to keep up with front desk work as well, and sometimes file restraining orders against people.

The governor is the final role of the government faction and is the all-around role. They are expected to keep up with the public and stay in the know about any situations or problems that may be arising in the city. Basic things like walking around the town and interacting with the citizens are examples of how governors may be able to keep up with others and can also help you be known as a friendly face in town. You may also be expected to officiate marriages similar to a judge, handing out ID cards is another way governors may expose themself publicly, as it is illegal not to have an ID for yourself. Approving adoption papers is also another thing they can do, similar to judges, as well as attending public trials. Finally, you are expected to show up at different shops and perform inspections on the establishments, making sure everything is fully up to code and working properly.
Do you acknowledge that upon being accepted, you can be subject to removal at any given time?:
Yes, I am fully aware of this and am prepared to face any consequences if need be.
Have you read & agreed to follow the Government Faction rules?:
I have read up on the rules made for the faction as well as the rules for Schoolrp and agree to follow said rules.
