What's the title of your suggestion?: Specialized Shop Faction 'Auctionhouse'
What's your suggestion?:
THIS SUGGESTION CALLS FOR THE FOLLOWING:
(Presuming it hasn't been shot down already, way back when, for some reason. No, I will not check. I am lazy)
The Shops Faction Lead to create a special channel in the Town Discord.
Being able to access and chat in the channel (if at all possible) should require the person desiring to see it/chat in it to acknowledge they are:
- A shopkeeper, or
- An owner of custom items that can be 'sold' to shopkeepers (i.e., transferal of ownership, so the items can be sold by the shop and enjoyed by the playerbase).
Such a notice would make it clear that those who do not fit these categories have no real reason to stick around in the channel. But it's not strictly required.
WHATEVER THE CASE, create such a channel, and formulate a set of rules for it to facilitate owners of custom items that can be sold to shopkeepers openly 'auctioning them off' or seeing which shopkeepers are taking an active interest in the item, and how much yen (within the set limit by the faction lead/community rules) the shopkeeper is willing to offer in exchange for the transferal of ownership.
How will this benefit the server and community?:
Transferal of custom item ownership to factions, especially the shop faction and its shopkeepers ... is routine. IT ALREADY HAPPENS. However, custom owners have to DM individual shop members to receive offers. This is lame and tedious. I think that's cringe. I think it'd be really heccin epic if we just had a channel where we can show screenshots or whatever to ALL shopkeepers, globally, and just let them decide if they want to take an interest, and put the onus on making offers/contacting the customer owners to negotiate, etc. ENTIRELY on the shopkeepers. This is way better than having to DM individual shopkeepers one at a time, and it's good for shopkeepers too as they will no longer really experience a heavy influx of DMs about potential new merchandise, and can instead see ALL that is on offer at the present moment in one place. Huzzah. THE COMMUNITY also benefits because frankly this gives custom owners way more incentive to, y'know, go ahead and let shops sell their items (transferal of ownership) and thus the entire community can enjoy them.
