What experiences do you have with roleplay?:
As a whole, I have been in the roleplay community for about 7 years now. I started off exploring other Minecraft servers and YouTube series, those being my first introductions to it ever. Through connections I have formed there, I shifted my focus primarily to semi-literate roleplays on Discord, alongside short DND campaigns and similar.
Moving onto SRP, I admittedly have only been around since last year, October, when I decided I‘d like to try Minecraft RP again. Even so, I would say I have had a considerable variety in roleplay experience so far, which I am immensely grateful for.
My first time joining the server felt a bit awkward; I had no idea where to start, so with the prior friends I joined, we made sibling characters. As a whole, I think this helped me settle into the worldbuilding a lot more smoothly, with familiar people around. We ended up getting adopted and meeting a handful of people through those interactions.
Those said connections helped me get introduced to GangRP, letting me learn the basics of how combat worked and the surrounding rules. Although I quickly found myself centering my attention around P2L, as I have always had a love for writing, heavily focusing on furthering a narrative, exploring my character in depth, and especially holding complex relations with other characters around the server, which brings me to my next point.
The first gang I ever joined was a mixture between DelinquentRP and GangRP. Despite it lasting very little, I do not regret engaging with it, as it is the primary reason I decided on making my own gang. My goal with Pink Panther was to create a place where characters could flourish, letting them impact the direction of it as a whole and create an environment that would be an enjoyable roleplay experience for all parties involved, even external ones. Additionally, I wanted to put a focus on casual interactions and day-to-day experiences to create depth and realism that goes past mere crimes.
Just recently I got accepted into the Professor faction, and I cannot express how grateful I am for the opportunity I was given. It‘s incredibly fun engaging with other faculty and students alike, aiming to make the school days immersive and being able to teach my passion, architecture. Even outside of school hours I find myself playing my professor, as character development to me is just as important here as well.
The one common denominator among all of this has to be the enjoyment I get from writing with others, whether that is multiple appends or short acts with substance behind them. It’s not just from the literature aspect itself, but the fact I get to experience not just my own storytelling, but everyone’s around me.
What is your motivation for applying?
My motivation for applying as a psychiatrist primarily stems from an interest in psychology as a whole. I have especially been interested in typology for the last two years, which can be defined as personality systems to offer improvement to people. Now, by no means are these theories scientifically backed up, although I wouldn’t dismiss them as a whole. In recent times, when they have gained more public traction, I have even seen them used in practice, especially the most popular system known as MBTI. Personally, I have read countless Claudio Naranjo books, which delve deeper into a person’s psyche. They talk about a separate system known as 'Enneagram' that, as stated, essentially focuses on helping people realize their subconscious patterns and behaviors by looking at core motivations and fears. Moving onto MBTI, I have done quite a bit of research around it as well. If you are familiar with it at all, many tend to see it as merely a way to label, for example, their social extro- or introversion. However, through reading many sources, I believe it is often boiled down to simplicity, which takes away from the core concept. Without taking too much time explaining it, it essentially explores the idea of cognitive functions and how you experience the world around you, taking in information. All of this is extremely simplified, but I hope that it can somewhat showcase my interest in the subject, even if through less conventional psychological ideas. I would love to further my knowledge on it, and while I acknowledge that this is a roleplay server and in no way an actual professional environment, I think it would help me gain motivation to further research and read about psychology.
Furthermore, I'd love to experience the roleplay aspect of it. I have always been someone to engage in roleplays that are very psychologically driven, focusing heavily on my own character's mental state and how it would impact every little action they take. Naturally that resulted in plenty of experiences with DetailRP. All in all, being someone who doesn’t just build a narrative around my own characters but someone who helps explore others character development would bring me immense joy.
Which role are you applying for?
Psychiatrist
What knowledge do you have of the roles within the Hospital Faction?
Departments:
The Emergency Department takes calls from outside the hospital, Paramedics aiding KPD in needed situations. They do not necessarily have a field in which they specialize in as a Doctor or Psychiatrist would, but are able to take on both responsibilities. This is not an appliable position, but something that is given through a promotion.
The Doctor Department handles physical medical tasks from emergency surgeries to providing prosthetic consultations. Alongside that they handle prescriptions for medication that is needed for your bodily wellbeing. Their focus lies in medical procedures surrounding a patient's physical state.
Opposite to the Doctor's Department, the Psychiatrist department treats mental conditions, as well as offer prescriptions in that area. They offer therapy sessions and professional diagnosis, and in extreme cases administer a psych-hold to patients. Additionally they are expected to know how to handle minor injuries.
Positions:
| Trainee | This would be defined as the starting position. A trainee will have to undergo training and pass to proceed. |
| Resident | A resident has successfully passed the training stage. Their task is dependant on the departments described as above. Generally they could be considered your normal hospital workers. |
| Attending | Alongside what a resident does, they are given more responsibilities and trust such as being able to grant off duty to their co-workers and conduct trainings. |
| Clinical Lead | They manage their according department, which includes but isn't limited to overseeing and planning events. |
| Director | Responsible for the hospital as a whole, they are in charge of major decisions and ensure the system runs as intended. |
Do you acknowledge that if training is held whilst you are online, you are expected to attend or you will be punished?
Yes, I understand and acknowledge.

SECTION 1: PERSONAL DETAILS
Character’s Full Name:
Despite the small frame of the woman, loud footsteps echoed through the interview room as she walked in, presumably caused by the bulky, black boots she was wearing. The sound bounced off of each wall, flooding into the crevices of the room until a silence set in - just to be interrupted by the squeaking of the chair being pulled out. Before she took a seat, her right hand reached out, offering a firm handshake.
"I'd ask, 'Just the two of us?' but sometimes I believe your subconscious could count as a separate being."
A light laugh passed her lips, although the sincerity in her voice let the joke fall flat.
"Portelli Nina. Nice to meet you."
The last name was deliberately mentioned first. With that, she traced her hand along the backrest of the seat, dragging it close as she lowered her body.
Character’s Gender and Pronouns:
A beige folder with sheets peeking out was set on the desk in front, quickly causing her to loosely attempt to tuck in the pieces of paper.
"I am a woman, but I have no preference as to what I am referred to."
Her eyes were concentrated on fixing up her materials, flickering up at the interviewer here and there. What followed was a slight pat on the folder, pushing both of her palms down to conceal the bumps that were caused by her carelessness.
Character’s Age (if accepted):
The file she had just forced shut was quickly pried open, picking out her birth certificate alongside an Italian passport. Surprisingly, the sheet was completely straight, held in place between the pages of the passport.
"26, I was born in the year 2000."
That last bit sounded almost proud, laced with an importance as if it wasn't just a birth year. Using the tips of her fingers, she slid over both the birth certificate and passport, the details within all confirming the truth of her words.
Character’s Academic Background:
Another part of her portfolio was pulled out, aligned as neatly as she could in front of the interviewer. It held all of her graduation papers from university.
"I graduated from the University of Florence with a six-year master's degree in medicine and later on qualified as a psychiatrist by completing my postgraduate specialization in psychiatry. All of this should hold the information needed, but please do come to me for quest-"
She cut herself off before the person parallel to her could even grasp the papers.
"My high school allowed me to skip two years. I was the youngest in my course."
It was almost as if she was anticipating a question about her age, answering it early to ensure full transparency. Only then did she let go of the papers under her hand.
Character’s Nationality:
She pointed towards the passport that was now sitting on the opposite side, setting her hand on the table once the interviewer acknowledged where she wanted them to divert their attention.
"I am Italian. Born in Florence and raised in a smaller village nearby. I'd abstain from visiting."
No further elaboration was offered until the next question was asked.
Character’s Marital Status:
Immediately a dismissive headshake came from her.
"Single."
That leaves that answered as well.
Character’s Religious Denomination:
Said question appeared to make her wander her mind longer than the previous ones, leaving her right index finger tapping against the wooden surface of the desk. The rhythm matched the exact speed of the ticking clock that had been present in the background. Subtle yet noticeable if you let silence seep into the room.
"I don't think I could place myself on a set system of beliefs, but I also wouldn't consider myself someone to deny the existence of a higher power. Taking that into consideration, I think the best label would be atheism. I do request you to please mark this as not applicable in your data if possible."
The sound of her words shunned the white noise once again.
Character’s Spoken Languages:
Her finger lifted off the table, moving up to twist and pull on one of the rings that wrapped around the opposite.
"Of course my native language is Italian. Furthermore, I had passed the JLPT N2 test prior to coming here to ensure you could be certain of my Japanese proficiency."
A piece of paper confirming this information was passed over.
Character Backstory (Optional):
"I do not believe this knowledge is needed to prove I am qualified for this position. Although it is nothing out of the ordinary. I am more than happy to entertain a chat another time."
A sly, subtle hint came from her part that she would visit this building again before she collected all her original documents after copies had been made. They were once again stuffed into the same folder, the reason now becoming apparent for why they were placed this messily initially.
"Thank you for your time."
Unlike her portfolio, the chair was actually brought into its proper position, neatly tucked under the desk. After parting words had been exchanged, she took her leave the same way she entered, with the same creaking of the hinges and the same lingering gust of wind shutting the door forcefully.
SECTION 2: MEDICAL HISTORY
What is your character’s medical speciality? Why did they choose this focus?
During her years of studying, Portelli had chosen a focus on psychiatric research. It wasn't just the surface symptoms she wanted to combat but to find the underlying reasoning for certain patterns in behaviors, belief systems, and structures people may hold. A strong belief was set that there had to be a certain kind of order behind the human psyche and that even just a vague understanding could help figure out the right path for patients. Her attention had always been set on studying frameworks, why people fall into similar habits, or how they can differ and break out. A drive for answers was present within much of her work, keeping an eager demeanor afloat.
Throughout the years of intense research, it was made apparent that the human mind was anything but able to be categorized, the individuality within each forming a strong distinction. Yet past that, she was able to learn how to further read past what was projected on the surface, point out inconsistencies, and help apply the right theory to form a proper evaluation of mental conditions.
Does your character have any work experience in medical positions?
Aside from the four years of postgraduate specialization she had undergone after medical school, this would be considered her first work experience. While the past years have given her an understanding of how the theory she learned would be applied, offering her practical experience as well as research opportunities, there was a lack of understanding for the everyday environment of a hospital.
SECTION 3: CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE
Describe your character; how do they look, what makes them unique? How would they be perceived by others?Appearance ♱ ༺༒︎⊰‿̩͙
The first thing able to pull your gaze was the way her big eyes settled into her face. Her eyelids drooped down to about halfway of her iris, implying a certain kind of indifference and lack of connection to reality. Although the gaze that sat below served as a heavy contrast, watching her surroundings with attentiveness could only be held by using her full attention. Her soft facial features were broken up by a prominent nose bridge, with a visible hump protruding along the straight edge.
Her hair wasn't any less eccentric than parts of her personality, letting shades of saturated blue and purple peek through the slightly more muted pink. As if that wasn't enough, some strands had black stripes adorning them, serving as a complement to the bright colors. Overall, her body seemed held together by little muscle mass or fat percentage, resulting in a petite figure all around. Yet among the abnormal postures she held, it appeared to seem natural to her, as if her body wouldn't be able to hold any more. Rough leather, metals, belts, and caps were the only staples in her usual fashion of dress, creating a bold silhouette and statement that not even she could place.
Personality ♱ ༺༒︎⊰‿̩͙
The hunger for the unknown had always lingered inside her, clawing at her mind.
More often than not, she found herself mentally studying patterns around her, carefully placing puzzle pieces together. The human mind being the one she was unable to finish. Despite the medical knowledge of the brain structure, the consciousness within has never had a set traceable part. All in all, curiosity could be the best word to describe her, accompanied by a sense of naivety and an imagination comparable to a child's, hence the nickname 'Ninetta'. Although it's not like she was delusional by any means. If anything, she was well aware, when it came to her patients, that there were lines she couldn't cross and the professionalism expected of her. Instead of entertaining her usual absurd ideas, she let grounded ideals guide her, with a perception that operated on a comparably low bias for a human. It was something she was adamant about, aiming to keep a relatively subjective lens of view out of professional situations. It was merely when she had the free time that she let her mind run to places that would be considered eccentric to most, eager to share ideas with friends and co-workers around. Her mind was one hard to decipher, often leaving those around her wondering about her goals and motivations. However, pry just a bit further, and it may just become apparent that she merely wishes to explore niche subjects for the love of exchanging thoughts but staying within proven theory when required.
How does your character act around the hospital?
Nina carefully observes every little corner of the hospital when wandering around, whether that be specks of dust visible in the clinical light or the gaps in between the tiles that hold dirt unable to reach. Depending on the day, she can be spotted keeping to herself, exploring her own world of possibilities and dreams, while other times she is eager to share those with the rest of her co-workers, discussing various topics that range from psychologically driven ones to others that may not even necessarily be tied to the hospital at all. The way her mind is kept busy, she oftentimes lets that messiness seep into her surroundings, setting down stacks of paper that then mysteriously vanish within the facility. Rarely will she stay held within one point, keeping a constant move if the hospital is empty. When charged to do something, all the attention that was previously set on abstract ideals wandered to her new task, resulting in a sudden kind of calm—not just within her mind, but also in the way her body handled it.
Does your character function better on their own or with others?
For Nina, it was hard to tell. She held a certain kind of hesitation to absolutes, which, when pushed upon her by others, could lead to her strictly denying what was said. That aside, she did hold a love for discussions, exchanges of thoughts, and experiments in theory. She had no issue working with others, although a lack of understanding of social norms on her end could make it difficult for the second party involved. Ideally, she thrives in an environment that gives her space for her own mind yet doesn't let her drown in it. A certain mutual understanding needs to come from both her and others to allow for a successful team experience.
